    Can you please explain when we use pressure coefficient and force coefficient for calculating wind loads

    Sir which value should be taken for wind definition

  • @Kindass

    you have calculated using member load. how about in wind load ?

    Instead of applying wind Load (kN/m2) intensity to columns, can we apply it to beams??

    • @ilustraca
      @ilustraca  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Columns are designed for lateral loads, so it is good to apply on columns ... u can do the either, but that will be more complicated.

      @@ilustraca Okay. Thanks...

    In the area substitution part, should it not be the width of the area of a panel that the column is supposed to cover rather than the length of column as we are applying the udl on the column? Total load = pd*(Cpe-Cpi)*L*width of area supported by the column. Pls clarify why length is taken and not width.

      bcoz here we r not applying the loads as area load but as line load or member load... The one u r talking about, we have considered that tributary area to find out Ka

      @@ilustraca I think it should be multiplied by the panel width which the column is going to cover rather than column length as we are applying line load on column.
