what i got was basically token (stage name and artist) is taking over ben (tokens real name) so the artist is consuming ben and when Ben realizes what token has done to him and seen what he becomes he tries to run away from his issues but cant and when the noose goes down its him trying to kill himself but token wont let that happen, so token fully takes control and continues rapping and wants to continue rapping

This is a perfect example of Rap. Rhythm and poetry, a song does not need to abide by any rules because it is Art. You should not be criticized for it not being normal enough when the whole point of art is to try something that no one else has done. This song is fire
So stop saying token is changing his music, trying to be kendrick, he's flowing that way on purpose. Everybody has their own interpret of what's going on in the song, but he uses his normal flow, voice, and lyrical talent. So don't like the song if you want but I find the way he incorporates the different flow and the video to make a message way more artistic than most rap videos.
Also don't forget waist down where he said "the moment I start having fun, tokens an asshole" he makes a song different than normal and people hate it or say it's trash because they want Token to stay the same but they want Token to be who they create, who they say they want him to be. That's incorporated with the flow he has, but he also is talking about losing the person he actually is, and how his artist person has taken over. But I just had to say, stop hating just cause it's different Token. I don't think he's trying to be Kendrick and I think future token is going to become Kendrick, Hopsin, Eminem, or anyone else for that matter.

That's a narrow view. I think bar for bar, Token is stronger. However, AK's beats are ill, his flow is as good or better than Token's, and he sings well. Also, if one is going to blow up, it'll be AK. Sadly, bar rappers aren't in style. AK's tracks are more radio friendly. This song is ill to a hip hop head who likes rapid delivery and bars for the sake of bars, but has no chance of seeing the radio.
