Yeah this song has me feeling conflicted. He claims to have found God from what I have ascertained through this song. That being said, he seems to be taking most of the glory for where he is in life now. He said "this all me" when really without christ he wouldn't be where is now. Idk. Took me sticking by him in Prison this time, & by God's grace he has completely turned his life around. He wants to start a prison ministry. So YES people can change, God DOES answer prayers. As a man who has been homeless 8 years. I found Tom 5 years ago, the last time chance I had in a house. I heard "helluvit" and been hooked ever since.
I'm chronically mentally ill and been struggling the last year with it. I'll have it the rest of my life. But I choose to work. I don't want SSI. That's how I'm able to afford my phone bill and Spotify to listen to him.
I heard this song a day after it came out and been listening to it multiple times everyday. The song helps me cope with my paranoia.
I have respect for Tom now. Not letting the image of a rapper consume him. Not letting the money consume him. I imagine taking care of my future wife the way he takes care of his family. I don't really have a family and things are so messed up that it's best that I leave and go do my own thing. I don't want millions or fancy anything except a beautiful kind woman who respects the kind of man I am and in turn I will work my mother fucking ass off.
It's hard to just do it for yourself. Knowing that nobody's hoping you're successful so you can help them. Nobody is counting on me. I am for myself. But I don't have that big of an ego, my heart needs a womans touch.
Listening to rap that isn't constantly trying to get you to do hella drugs and fuck hella women is good.

If you are a Christian you should not be applauding this. Yes, it is good to overcome sin. But his message is one of pride and arrogance. Such is not from wisdom, God will destroy all pride. As a Christian Tom's music bears some truth to it but his theatrics are still demonic in appearance and nothing he sings is in the form of praise for The Father Almighty. He claims himself to be a goat (greatest of all time) but in Christian terms goats are on the left of Lord Christ and they will all perish. Those on the right of Lord Christ are all lambs, not goats. I think there is a good reason for this "interesting" play on words.

I usually don't post comments, but this video hit hard for me. I can relate.
I am now 58 with a felony committed 32 years ago that everyone told me would ruin my life. I worked shit jobs, was homeless, doing drugs and drinking more than I should.
Years later I gave up working dead end jobs, barely surviving. Now I have worked in county jails supervising inmates, am now a state licensed armed security guard who carries a valid ccp.
I refused to believe the lies that I wouldn't amount to anything, but look at me now. Just wish my dad was alive to see what I've done with my life.

Got my mind right, worked hard, started my own business. Prayed hard for a new wife. Found one who 's a devout Christian. Been my own boss for over 30 years now and it's all due to my rebirth. Im an American Combat Veteran. You are American Tom. You live here and done more for us vets than 99% of people that were born here. Love what you're doing.
Hes helped me more than VA ever did. Id listen to Tom to help make the thoughts go away. The VA told me they put transwomen in MST living spaces for women who were SA'd while serving. They house MST survivors with men if we need inpatient MH care. Thats counterintuitive to what we need.
So, Tom and Equestrian Therapy help me. I highly recommend Equestrian Therapy. The WWP sponsors me. I volunteer and I ride.
