- Is it the end of an era, or is it a comeback? This is the current story of the Airbus A380, which has been experiencing a resurgence but is genuinely for the long-term. What are the airlines' plans for moving forward with the aircraft?

Thanks for update
- From a pilot, and UA sales manager prior, who negotiated ticket prices directly with large corporations in the NYC area.
When the A380 starting flying, I never saw its demise in any reality
---these was hub-and-spoke times, Kiwi had been killed by the Majors at EWR, etc.
Finally going to fly A380 this summer😊😊😊
As far as i know, at least 18 Airbus A380 are retired and scrapped while many others still worthy.
Thanks Dj!!
What the A380 needs is a complete revamp with a slimmer fuselage and twin engine then they got a real winner
So basically an A350?
Long live the super jumbo!
somehow get an engine unholy enough to produce 140000 pounds of thrust each and slap em on the 380. easy
I think korean will be the next to retire their a380s then it will be lufthansa, qatar and then etihad and emirates will be the last to retire their a380s
It’ll be interesting to see how they stick around with Korean’s merger with Asiana. Both operate the type.
Remember, BA also has them.
@@trainzandplanes522 I think ba and Singapore are going to keep them slightly longer than the other 3 that’s why I didn’t mention them
Was the A380 built to show Boeing that Airbus can make a larger plane than 747 I wonder
That, and Airbus thought limited hub slots would compel going bigger. They didn’t forsee so many new airports getting completed so soon, and the passengers so strongly willing to pay for more direct routes.
