*FOR ANYONE INTERESTED IN THE ORCHESTRAL OVERTURE AT THE START OF THE SECOND SET* it was composed and produced by me (Joseph Stevenson) and supervised by the band. Just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for all the kind words about it so far so far, so so lovely to see such positive reactions to it! You guys are just the best ❤️❤️
In that age you might be a little rusty! It's a while since they toured but he's one of the best singers out there. As the tour goes on, singing gets better and better.
@@Killerklownsfromouterspace 13 years of being part of the band. Kept the band going, helped them to win a grammy and all of a sudden yanked him out for Portnoy.
He's human.... He's gonna have good days and not so good days. I was at London and we never noticed that he was struggling because we were all singing along at the top of our lungs. He's sounding great here!
James sounds much much better here. Yeah. Maybe that first night was an accident, maybe he could pull it off. I wouldnt say hes great, but he is serviceable here definitely.
he is sounding better every night I think a lot of his terrible singing has to do with him being so extra and not singing the song as it should be sung he does some random crap
I remember him saying in an interview he would do this to prevent getting bored of the songs. But yeah its getting better results sticking to the song as it is
I think some of that was probably to try and disguise bits where he knew his voice was failing. Like throwing a flourish on a line he knows he's going to run out of breath of break on. I don't think it's much coincidence that when his voice sounds stronger he also doesn't do those weird improvs.
Yeah my thoughts too. If he just gave 100% focus on singing the song as accurate and on-pitch and rhythm as possible, that would already improve the baseline a lot. I think that's what he's done this and the last concert.
It is hard to sing that song anyway. Even his younger self had to be at peak night after night. It’s hard to do and I doubt there are many singers out there who could match JLB. A lot of the comments are clearly from people who can’t sing themselves so have no appreciation of how hard it is to sing some of,those songs. I’m also a big fan and really appreciate what he does. If it was a major problem don’t you think the band would react. His voice isn’t shot just older.
So glad James is sounding better! Sucks for those at London tho. Maybe there was an issue with his hearing due to volume or something at a larger gig??? If it's a warming up thing then he clearly needs to do a couple of warm up gigs before tour start. Hopefully, this will be the end of the James singing issue that's stealing the focus and we can all get on with an awesome tour!
Anytime James attempts any note over his low register, he goes flat, mumbling the lyrics. The only reason this track sounds somehow better at times is because Mike is doing backing vocals. At this point, Mike is a better singer than him. DT should fire JLB after this tour. This is not the standard for a professional band that charges HUNDREDS of bucks per ticket.
The band's sound and song writing ability would improve overnight if they were to replace Portnoy with the Legend that is Kevin Moore. If anything they'll get the opportunity to create proper DT songs, as the last decent one was before Octavarium and there are zero good compositions since. James, on the other hand, should never leave.
james is sounding better and better each night, so sick
Came here to see if anyone noticed.
James sounds a lot better in the last 2 concerts. Go James!

James! Let’s Fucking go! 🙌🏻
James sounded a mile better
I was about to comment that but then 5:20 happened...
We all know that THESE folks are really ALL of our Favorite musicians of all times !
I was right behind this guy filming lol. Thanks man! It was an awesome show and way better from what I heard in London.
Go James, go!
Really happy for this 61 year old fine man!
Wow!!!! James kicking ass!!!
"metuehpeleh sehweh meh, deh meweh sheweh degeh". amazing lyrics 🔥

@@davidcara1076 James speaks his own language : Labriesh language🤣
James was amazing yesterday. I was delighted to be there
James sounding badass! 🔥
James had a super vocal performance yesterday in comparsion to London
Phruck, we needed this in 2024!!! 🔥🤟👏👏👏
i like the way comments about james(in positive way) more that MP haha
James in good shape yesterday 😊😊
Love the little fail at 7:37 and petrucci's eyes xD
If James keeps going like this, I'll be so happy when they're in Amsterdam!
James is ironing out the wrinkles for sure. If he continues this momentum it's gonna be incredible!
Sí, James, ¡¡¡ vamos!!! suena muy bien aquí en comparación con Londres..
Go James!
C'mon, James!!!
Lfg James! Great job man!!

their energy is so much more than the mangini era
I disagree, I miss precision. Concert from London 2020, they were a lot tighter.
@@KaranSingh-qn7us I enjoyed the precision of Mangini also. Both are great drummers though!
@@FePyroMaiden I agree, I love them both. But they did Mangini dirty.
@@KaranSingh-qn7usHow so? Generally curious of your opinion on it. And I agree, I like both players.

Wow what happened to labrie? he sounded terrible in london, he sounds pretty fucking good in this clip
The internet is dumb thing. Guy has a flubbed song and there’s an online outcry for him to retire. LaBrie is the GOAT.
James sounds great here! compared to London the other day..
First gig.

I thought people said James did excellent last night? Oh, we’re just haters; disregard our crystal clear observations
James llegara sin voz a chile

Why does it sound like theyre playing an in empty bathroom
Cause this is a empty bathroom
Its a phone camera and mic.
I'm in my bathroom and I agree it sounds like it. It is quite reverby here, now that you mention it
Deja Vu all over again. Nice to see tha beard off knowledge again!

People saying JL is better here? Lmao he's always flat.
Mike Mangini we miss you 😢😢😢
Yes. I'm definitely a Mangini fan
Sure, MM is technically better than MP but imo they sound much better with MP, that's what they want.
Nope we don't
You guys commenting that James was good, you're just delusional. Metropolis was just as bad. High notes are all bad.

Wow, interesting how the groove feels when they’re not playing a click You can tell Mike gets excited at times😂
now this is a portnoy song
