【 About ""Spring Point"" the Self-restoring switch 】
""Spring Point"" the Self-restoring switch
are sometimes used at train Passing-Loop on Japanese Local-Lines.
It switches itself on with the force of a spring .
●When the train enters the loop ,
The point is switched to its Normal-position ,
and each train proceeds to its own track to go.
●When the train leaves the loop ,
The rail is pushed by the wheel and the point is switched.

After a time , The springs and dampers switch the point to Normal-position.
So It allows train to exit a loop without needing to change the points.
However , For safety reasons ,
It is used on slow Local-Lines with Speed Limits ,
and also has the disadvantage of wearing-out the wheels.
Most of these Normal-position are Left ( In Japan ) ,
But for the purpose of reducing the time it takes to block a Crossing ,
Some of them face the Opposite direction.
( They're just the difference between : Left and Right )
日本のローカル線における行き違い駅では
「スプリングポイント」( 発条転轍器 ) が使われていることが ある。
これはバネとダンパーに よって自動的に転換する分岐器で ある。
●通常、ポイントは定位に向いているので
駅に入るときは普通の分岐器のように定位へ進む。
●駅から出るとき、ポイントの反位側から逆方向に進入するときは
車輪の力でレールを押しのけて [ 割り出して ] ポイントを転換させる。
ポイントは時間が経つと、バネとダンパーに よって定位に戻るので
外部からのポイント操作が不要に なる。
定位＝列車が通常 向かって行く方向
反位＝その逆方向＝向かって来る方向
ただし、
車輪の摩耗 と 安全性の観点に より 速度制限が掛かるので、高速路線には向かない。
進行方向 左側に入線させるものが多いが、
構内踏切を塞ぐ時間を短くしたい理由で あえて逆を選択している所も見られる。
左右の違いだけなのでモノとしては同じである。

Thank you for this nice ride to Unasuki Onsen. Enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for displaying the names of the eki (stations) enroute and especially the 360 degree panning around the terminus at Unasaki Onsen. Could see the proximity to the eki for the Kurobe (?) line. Yes, at times the window could have been cleaned so as to allow for a sharper image of the countryside. Doomo arrigatoo gozaimashita.

You've got lovely little rural lines in the East with trains the size of buses, you've got the high speed rail in the West, mountainous lines in the Balkans, the coastal tram in Belgium. There's a lot to see.
Europe train is better than japan train, narrow gauge ussually wobbly unstable compared to standard or wide gauge.
So beautiful and diferent places , relax in the sunny day , I liked it so much . thank you
Really nice video. Anyone else notice the unusual, certainly for UK, employment of what appears to be spring loaded turnouts. Since trains frequently move "against" the the way the road is set this must place a greater emphasis on the drivers to obey all signalling all of the time.

富山地鉄は田畑と田園に囲まれた のどかな路線だが、
そ
の沿線には日本一小さいけど凄い村が あるらしい・・・「舟橋村」。大きさは夢の国7つ分。
富山から6駅15分だけと程々に離れた立地と あって 近頃ベッドタウンとして成長しているようだ。
特に若手・子育て世代が増えているが、それは整った教育環境が理由のようだ。
小さな村では下手に他と合併すれば学校も施設も無くなり政策の融通も利かない。
だから村長・村民の意思により併合を避け、村の子は村の子で育てる
....という、教育に関する地盤を自ら固めていくスタイルが貫かれている。
その甲斐あって自村の図書館で 子供たちは本好きに なり、
「住民一人あたり年間貸し出し冊数」日本一を獲得したんだそうな....。
また村内にあるファインネクスという会社では
CPUのPGA端子――裏についてる剣山のピン―― のシェア世界一。
地鉄が走っている事の価値は大きかったようだ。とても村とは侮れない。
それにしても新魚津を出てからのモーターの唸る音 56:40 や
柔らかいホーンの心地良い音を聴きながらのどかな風景を眺めるなんて、
こういう経験、都会じゃ まず味わえないな。

そうです駅の建物が図書館なんです、便利ですねぇ。しかも捕獲に当たっては、村民が鹿の侵入を聞いて応援に駆けつけたと。その上 本として出版。だいぶ昔らしいですけど凄まじい村ですな。

@alblgz Yes, you're right. In this case Kurobe Gorge Railway, with VERY narrow 762 mm (2 ft 6 in) gauge, is available from Unazuki.

元京阪3000系と言うけど、ほぼ 車体のみです。
軌間が違うから台車は使えないし、モーターも他の私鉄の中古品です。
それと、この動画、何で外国人のコメント多いのだろう？
国内初の20インチカラーテレビ（旧松下電器産業・現在のPanasonic製で京阪時代は京都方の先頭車の運転室上部に取り付けられていた）と全座席一斉自動転換装置といった最新技術の草分け的存在だった京阪3000系（現在のものとは別）はもう、富山地方鉄道の10030系しか見られません。
座席一斉転換装置は撤去されたっぽい。
