Well, part two of season 4 is out. And it's safe to say it's right up there with Sopranos and Breaking Bad. In fact, if the two shows had a baby, it would be Ozark.
I don’t see the comparison to Walter and Marty. The core premise of his show is how such a timid, meek and mild mannered little guy becomes a powerful and feared drug lord who makes a legend out of himself. There is no comparison between S01 and S05 Walter. If you show someone clips from the first episode and the early S05 episodes, they’d tell you it’s from a different show if they even recognized him. Marty doesn’t really have that big a change. His change is mostly how much he can take in his world, but he’s already doing work for the Cartel in the beginning and he doesn’t really escape that or becomes something more. He can simply tolerate harder situations in the end than he could in then beginning, but his attitude and his way of handling things is nearly identical.
@@wadewilson8011 I did, I rewatched the show since then, with no breaks, and you can see that, again, his tolerance to situations increases, but even at the very beginning he seemed very aware of what was going on and he did have confidence. He’s not a different person by the end, he’s pretty similar, but evolved on who he used to be in the beginning.
wendy is not the worst. You hate her cuz shes a bitch, but she saved her family numerous times, more than marty probably. She is a bad person, no doubt, but she moves forward and ultimately makes her and her family stronger each time she makes a move, you have to give her credit for that
Never heard of Zark or Ozark? - disclaimer something is about to happen because trump just elected his chief of staff and then boom the skies changes I’m sure not right after
I think you have the hots for Wendy as an actress, this video might have required effort to make, thanks for that, but the analysis overlooks and twists so many things, not even mentioning the weirdest description I have ever heard of villain. Why on earth do you say Wendy is trying to protect her family? It s all a powerplay to her, specially trying to send her son to jail, even Marty tells her she s muscling and not parenting. What a bad analysis you have made. The part of her sending her brother right into the arms of the killer you try to justify it as also caring for her family? I think villains can be likeable if you see some higher endgoal in their despicable attitude or something that impairs a normal and socialized reasoning. Wendy is a cheater, liar, disgustingly cynical, and a text book definition of a machiavellic entitled woman. But hey it s your thing and your video. Walter White or Eren Jaeger are likeable villains, even Cruella is likeable, but Wendy Byrde 🤮🤮🤮
She a selfish narcissistic psychopath. You have to read deeper to understand her. Wendy IS the primary anti-villain if you think about it. That said, IN HER MIND she's trying to save her children/family. It's that momma bear protecting her cubs mentality. She's shrewd and manipulative. Wendy has control issues and begins her very own power trip. Her main goal was to save her family. Her WAY OF DOING IT was completely cunning, manipulative, shrewd, and psychotic. But she DID love her family. She just enjoyed the trip along the way.
Thank you ! She took the villain role serious and I guarantee you if she was asked to kill Marty to become head of the cartel she would instantly do it and claim it would make their family safe 😂
I enjoyed following your theory. You may be right, the obvious villains like Navarro, Javi, Del, Darlene (...) are - and remain vicious - From their first appearance ongoing. From a evolution perspective over the seasons, Wendy can be seen as a developing villain or maybe also as a "favorite villainess", since I have to admit, that I "like to watch" Wendy succeed with her plans. And I also think this - the "plan" thing of Wendy - may be also a differenciation from a similar narrated evolution I see for Ruth. From my perspective, Ruth is also in a development from a "petty criminal" (doing small things, bandwagon effect) towards a more vicious and ruth-less (...) behaviour. But in opposition to the well and long planned things, Wendy is doing, Ruth has a more pragmatic and impulsively way of doing her business. Show would sell her grandma to get some bucks. Nevertheless i like her character very much and I'm very curious, what will happen next with livid Ruth. Maybe she will be the outstanding villain in the end.
I would pretty much agree with this assessment, although to me what she did to Ben was unforgivable (though I do understand her reasons)...what's amazing to me is how good of an actress Laura Linney is because she's normally one of my all time favorite actresses but I despise Wendy due to how good her acting is as an "anti-heroine" and at times flat out villain. What did you think of the ending of the series? I personally was underwhelmed & disappointed. Ozark was one of my favorite shows but the ending left such a bad taste in my mouth that I don't think it deserves to be up there w/ Breaking Bad or The Sopranos 😕 JMO of course.
Wendy Bryde fits into Machiavellian behavior pretty well.
Love this show, it’s crazy how much you grow to hate a character in the beginning then fall in love with the ones you hate.
I hope u mean Navarro right.. seems like a hero comared to Wendy.. that btch will just go to any extent..
And vice versa.
Wendy and Ruth yeah
When I read the title I was like what's there to even discuss. Wendy is one of the biggest monsters in TV she's glorious 😭😭😭
ON THIS QUICK FAVORITE SHOW RN. Man, I gotta get in discord with you, you seem to watch every show I do.

I don’t know why so many people threw a temper tantrum over the ending I thought it was incredible.
Wendy is more like Walter White than Marty. I like her though.
Marty is a genius. He just says the right thing every time. And comes up with the correct plans. Only wendy fcks it up each time
That’s actually a great point… she liked it
Not at all. Walter was doing it for his family. Wendy does it for greed and power
@@PermanentHigh nah he admitted that was b.s
@@RebexOfficial Marty’s only issue is that he lets Wendy treat him like a simp cuck, if only he’d put his foot down more often

Well done ✌️ here from Twitter
Worst TV mom. Carmelo soprano, Skylar Whyte or ir Wendy byrde
Hands down Wendy Byrde.
Carmela did nothing wrong. Other than Furio, and AJ’s teacher

@@aaronb2955 I don’t hate her. She’s a fabulous character. The question asked was worst TV mom and she is a terrible mother.. imho
The FBI. The government is always the villain.
Who is the villain in this movie? Batman is suppose to fight him but the question is who is the Batman ? Why did I find his mask ?
