Hi Tony, Hi Allison. Lovely walk that. That’s what I love about the Lake District, you don’t have to walk for miles or climb to 900m to see its beauty. Just a short walk between two towns and all that to see. Brilliant guys, loved watching that. All the best. 😃⛰🥾
Hi Dave, Thanks mate, a great go to work when the weather isn’t playing ball. You are so right, it doesn’t have to be an epic adventure to discover the magic ✨. Thanks as always for the support. Enjoy of out there mate 🥾😁⛰️
Hi Barbara, yes, it turned out much better than the forecast so I was delighted with the day 😁. I’m so glad I could share it with you. Enjoy it out there 🥾☀️⛰️
A nice change of pace Tony and Allison, thanks. I walked part of the Coffin Route, from Grasmere to Rydal, before returning via Rydal Water and Grasmere lake. Lovely walk. As it was in July, Grasmere was rammed....sooo busy! I couldn't get anywhere near the Gingerbread shop, let alone the church! Way too busy for me. Tell you what though, you had to be fit in those days, to carry a coffin around that route. Flat, it ain't! No wonder they had rest points along the top section! 👣🌤🥾
Hi Adie, it is a great section from Grasmere to Rydal. A nice wander by the lake as well 😁. It was rain in the morning and we arrived in Grasmere at 4:30 so got lucky with the lack of visitors. The gingerbread was fantastic 😋. It would be quite a task with a coffin but what a final journey it must have made ⚰️. Enjoy it out there mate 🥾😁⛰️
I did grassmere yesterday helm crag ,silver how .Afternoon walk over to grassmere lake then joined coffin route. I just love grassmere and surrounding fells it's stunning xx
@@louisesmith3860 hi Louise, Helm Crag is a lovely fell ⛰️. It is one of my favourite parts of the lakes and offers so much. I’m glad you got to the coffin route. It is one of my go to walks when the clouds are low. Enjoy it out there ⛰️😁🥾
Hi Tony, that was a good video and walk. I can't believe I was in Tweedies when you walked in to the bar. That's me sat at the table looking at my phone on the left near the bar. Green t-shirt. The Mrs with the peach coloured jacket. I also did the coffin route but only from Grasmere to the Glen Rothay and Badger bar. Great walking around Grasmere. 👍
Hi Paul, haha, fame at last 😂. I’m glad you got to do some of the route and I could show you the rest. It’s a great go to walk if the tops are in cloud. I’ll catch you next time mate, enjoy it out there 🥾😁⛰️
Hi Tony and Allison. A cracking little walk that. Love the coffin route with the history and some great views. I never knew about the route along Nook Lane to get to the lower path to Ryder Hall. Handy to know. Great drone footage as always. We did Bannerdale Crags East Ridge on Friday from The MIll Mungrisedale where we stayed. What a brilliant little scramble it was once we got through the bogs 😯 Even my other half enjoyed it apart from being very windy on the ridge line. Cheers ATB
Glad you enjoyed it Tony, Nook Lane is good to get away from the busy road and gives a more enjoyable start. I'm glad you got to do Bannerdale, it is a great view at the edge of the fells😀. Enjoy it out there mate⛰😀👢
Hi mate, I record in 1080p as the file size is more manageable for longer videos. I normally have about 90 mins of footage to cut to 30 mins. I’d just record your garden for 30 mins and load it in your computer editing package and see how much memory it fills up. I hope that makes sense, let me know if you need anything else mate. All the best with it. I look forward to seeing the results ⛰️😁🥾
@@codgiesexpeditions I usually use 1 and a bit batteries but take 4 with me. I'm going to set up an Amazon site this week and it will link to gear that I have use and would recommend⛰😀🥾
@@trekkingwithtony oh nice one that be handy, I got the go pro then realised there is a few extras needed lol even my memory card from old phone was out of date version 🤣

Another absolutely lovely video! The sun came out so nice for you at the end - lighting up the hills! Just gorgeous! 😊
