Tbh if blizzard wanted bots gone it would have been done by now... The fix will always be to hire dedicated GMs that keep the game clean. It wouldn't be 100% effective but around that 95% mark would be amazing.
That will have 0 effect on cheating and only further make supply blow demand out of the equation. No one will need to use the market at all. Cheaters will always have their supply purchased 1st lowest price. So legit players will just continue using orb to platinum convert.

Of course, doesn't matter if they don't make money with legal crest. They get to reimburse the money to the stollen reedit card holder but they make the money from legit players buying platinum as a currency to buy the cheap gems. Its actually pretty genius move from them to revive their real life income which means they don't really care about the game, they gonna bleed out the cash cow and just let it die in thr future, that's until immortal 2 comes out

Sorry I totally disagree on this idea. I've been in rifts with whales that are so fast and strong they'll literally run it by themselves and by the time I catch up with them, the boss is done, and I shouldn't be rewarded for genuinely doing the rift? No. And I do 25K damage with 35K cr so before u say I'm just too weak to run a random player rift. Just sayin

The susan problem started when blizzard merged 3 servers together, this caused the susan problem to triple on each server merged . So the susan problem is all Blizzard's fault

U do know that bots can get to 300 Paragon no problem, right? U do know that now u would have bots all over the map lazy farming all the time. There are an estimated 1500+ bots on my server running crests. All removing the 10x option will do is increase the number of bots to get the same results. I think you’re making an error in how you’re viewing bots…these aren’t actual players running these rifts, it’s just a server running a bunch of VMs passively. This solution just requires a minimal increase in computing power to overcome on Susan’s end, it’s not a fix Blizz will never go for it since reducing the number of crests reduces their potential profit. If they actually cared (which they clearly don’t) they’d already be playing an aggressive game of whack-a-mole filtering for players that meet the criteria of the bots.
Finally, an intelligent comment! I’ve seen so many people comment on his videos to explain the bot method, what they do with the gems, the platinum, getting credit card, refunds, etc., is how they get so much money and selling the platinum of course
This back charge method has been in the game since day 1... The problem is growing popularity of it in desperation to keep paying bills by method (cheaters have bills too) and a massive loss of legit spenders. So it's painfully obvious now.
I think if you enter a rift and back out you lose a crest( like a back out fee) and you just dont get rewards for the other 9, and the fading embers stay in the rift for the remaining players...it's pretty simple
Blizz would have to implement a "Are you sure you want to exit?" pop up when clicking the portal to backout because right now, clicking the portal takes you right out. I mention this because, sometimes after spawning in, one may accidentally click the portal when actually trying to start running to play. And also, some solo players prefer to back out if they aren't fond of the RNG map given at spawn and/or really don't like the RNG negative affixes given on a run, and then just try again. I myself (solo play) back out of the lava caverns because it just takes too long (usually) versus the other maps.
Blizzard needs to reduce the price of obols crests and platinum accordingly and reduce the price of their packs they sell because they dont reflect value for money anymore
I don't want to turn anybody away from playing any part of the game. This game is great. How about if they leave the elder rift regardless of what they acquired and they didn't finish the elder rift. Then they only get the crests that they put into it in the mail. And they lose everything else
It adds to the pity counter. You left the rift. You never got the legendary gem. You did get your legendary crests back. HOWEVER! You knocked 10 off the pity counter. You exit 4 rifts, and real players finish. Your 5th rift is guaranteed a 5* legendary gem. This is what Susan Bots are doing
@DK.Gaming709 since day 1 problem, but now that the legit population is fallen to a minority, and cheat2win the majority a huge compounding problem that is impossible to hide from the public, shareholders, and authorities that look into credit card fraud on a national scale. Back charging $200 for 15k orb accounts in public ROFL.. All the time in worldchat for $4-$8 pilot account feeding in front of everyone.
This could also be a deterrent for potential new big spenders coming to the game, for they are ready to spend and use crests as soon as they possibly can.
You might not have the entire hack? This is all speculation but may be.... You need a multi char character account with a sacrificial alternate. (Perhaps just a 2-only char account?) Run the elders with crests on your alternate. Exit elders. Then delete your alternate. Hop onto your main. Open email. I don't know if that will "do" anything. I'm speculating that maybe the bots are transferring crests from one char to another, instead of using the market "trick" of selling gems at the highest price since the price-trick is no longer available.

They could just match it to your difficulty rating. Hell 1-3 grouped together, Infernal grouped together. It would watch the already existing world maps.
Yeah I'm just starting out on the game. I got to level 60 Paragon level 9 now. I don't cheat but I'm interested in the game. People keep telling me it's a money lynching game and to not even worry about playing it. What are your thoughts on the brand new player platform? Is the game still worth playing?
yes its worth it to play… I started the game like 9days ago playing and now im on paragon 385 and defeated some 3months player on the game and im f2p…. just learn the mechanics and builds
They don't get their crests back, just the gems. The reason they afk and just exit is because they are bots that don't have the power or programming to actually run the rift. They know real players will do it so they don't have to. They're fully automatic fresh accounts just farming crests bought from fraudulent credit card purchases. They probably list the gems immediately on the market and the account owners (susan) will fulfill any of their plat orders with the proceeds from the sales.
Also level gating would likely not help, bot farms can run a dozen accounts at a time on a single machine. It's a f2p game so they can spin up and level unlimited accounts with minimal human interaction.

It doesn't fix anything dude. It will make it worse inside the game. I will see bots lazy farming all over the map, ot mau slow them down for a week or so but when they get to the Paragon level then they will run crest as normal while new vote are auto leveling. The idea is horrible as it will not fox a thing and will make the game worst for all of us who want to owf
Quicker fix would be bump up server caps, example. instead of being lvl 15 to type in world chat, make it lvl 40. It wouldnt stop them but slow them down bc of lvling
While what you are proposing is a fix to elder rifts. It still does not fix the issue of low-priced normal gems flooded in the market. They need to implement some time of minimum CR/Paragon to access the market as a whole.
Need to do something with the BOTS or whatever they are that sit in one area and do that away from keyboard farming.... was in the dredlands trying to do quest, and over 16 of them in one spot! Really gets me mad as hell.....
Some tips for our collective sanity: 1. If you’re the leader, kick them immediately. 2. Leave the group if you see them show up. 3. Report/block. 4. If you recognize the naming pattern and level, report everywhere you see them. Camping by rift and market most of the time. 5. Drown the system with ACCURATE reporting. Select scam/fraud. It shouldn’t be like this, but only we can save ourselves.
Love your idea I hope they can come up with any kind of fix your idea is just super I mean yes it’s beneficial for the buyer. It’s help me upgrade a couple legendary five stars but I felt dirty doing it if that sounds crazy but it’s rough enough going in there are people using no crest at all with a 10 legendary run And there’s enough rumors of people having bots in the game. And people pilot them and selling accounts for 20 K and now they’re farming the elder right in front of your face so don’t give up. Keep trying keep talking to blizzard and net ease got faith in you brother.
Just do like when farming, standing still for 30 sec = dead. Dead for 30 sec auto kick. Leave or kicked before end your leg crest are returned but no loot for u
Limiting elder rifts like that is not the answer. It is not a fix. The answer is to take away the exploit. And incentivize staying together as a party. 1) Make it so you must be within some distance of the boss when it dies to get rewards. 2) Make it so the boss at the end spawns closest to the player with highest number of kills. 3) Split elder rifts into hell and inferno so that low levels only run with low levels. If you must add a penalty, you could give someone a "deserter" timer if they leave before the elder rift ends and lock them out for 10 or 15 minutes. Those would make a real difference.
Susan is now selling pets for plat. Crests/elder rifts is now not anymore their main market. Now you get pets for free, self then to Susan for Plan. You no longer need to buy crests to make plat. In the end it’s Free Plat
Isn’t it obvious what Susan is doing? They don’t have any gear to complete rifts. It’s time consuming to do it. The character will eventually be deleted. So, they basically jump in and let you do all the work. Then, get the rewards in the mail.
Here is what I think the devs on the bots side are doing. They are manipulating the requests coming and going from the Diablo server to give them certain things. They do this through various utilities hackers usually utilize.
Easiest fix, below 300 paragon and 20k ce, no players are allowed to purchase or able to get purple crest, only red is available for them. Noone gets harmed, bots will leave as it takes longer to get the cr and paragon, they may run red but that would be all they could do. And regular players will be roaming freely in rifts etc. For the normal gem drops, noone under 5000cr gets any gem from 4 man party ow farm. My cluster market is dead to grounds, bottled hope selling for less than 19k, bsj high 20ks, seeping for 16k etc. Those bots harmed our cluster way too much.
That will increase the price on 15k orb accounts from 4 $4-$8 they only last for 3 hours now. To a range that is relevant to the new hourly time it takes for bots to level to needed level to buy and back charge. At the moment 3 hours isn't long enough to sell 2star and 5star gems they are selling 1star gems and then transferring platinum to main account before ban. ~Honos (paraphrasing a bold pilot and what he revealed in WorldChat)
Lvl 60 requirement and only be able to run 3 at a time with a max of 25 crests a day unless you are within required CR for the difficulty...I dunno just thinking
Bre......this is never gonna happen. Your suggesting caps/requirements on how quickly people can spend money. Yea bots are a problem but you still have real people at low levels buying and playing....optimistic but never gonna happen....
I’ve been playing since the beginning. This was the last straw for me. I quit last week. At least I got to be in an Immortal clan before the game crushed my spirit. Adios Diablo Immortal!
Every time I see even one of those dudes running Elder Rift on the part, I simply just leave the party. If I can't find any other actual players, I just run it solo and still get better gems most of the time so now I usually just solo Elders Rift and not having to deal with them at all.
Good idea but that will be a bad experience for new players and no one would like to team up with them. The only fix is for Blizzard to make an action and start caring not just on their profits.
Auto-Ban any Low Levels that try to Run 10x Purples. Any Whales that are going Play the Game are already here. Or if they do Multiple Runs of 3x Purples.

I want to say what they are doing but i feel almost all whale already know the exploit and people who rarely runleg crest will not notice the bug. This has been in the system since day 1. But was fix last 2022dec but did not totally remove the bug.
Also all comments i see ragarding their theory about why the bots are doing this are almost coming from people who dont really run alot leg crest. If you have run multiple 1000s leg crest run you will notice the pattern aka bug
We are assuming that these are players and not bots. If these are bots and this gets implemented, we will now see them using 10 bots with one crest each to get the same result. 😂
No if you back out of an elder rift before it’s done you should get blocked from joining and have the cooldown grow exponentially until you wouldn’t be able to do elder rifts for months
I finally quit the game because Blizzard seriously doesn't care about these bots. The servers are virtually empty now and tge high end max people are leaving as normal to other games without being replaced. The game will probably limp on till next year but dont expect support for 2026
I think this is not a good idea. People who are going to whale legitimately can’t do that and the whales are the ones paying for our continued dev attention and new content. There has to be a better way.
That is stupid route, you just slowing people and bot down, nothing more. Blizzard needs to have netease developer or admin go into a dungeon with a bot and then check server log. See what server events are they are sending to the server that could be exploiting it. Case closed.
Do it like Diablo 2 and have seasons so all this shit ppl bought would go to non ladder. I fear the only way to fully fix the problem is to separate the whales(or market) from the free to play ppl. But obviously they're not gonna piss off the cash cows yet.

Really bad ideas , you're only hurting new players and making them not want to play the game. The real fix is to make Blizzard fix the damn game, end of story, and don't spend any money on the game until they do. Do this and watch how quickly they fix it.

Bots can just be programmed to make them follow players and spam auto attacks every certain amount of time

If your getting the gems and not the crests, it means they are leaving early just to save time. It's so they can farm faster.

Just make sure it doesn't affect the pity counter unless the player completes the rift while being in the rift. Easy fix.

What they are farming is fading ember and using ELC is so no one remove them and get extra benefit of crest to get fading embers that is what i think.
Blizzard should have fixed prices on leg gems like 30k/ star
Some tips for our collective sanity:
1. If you’re the leader, kick them immediately.
2. Leave the group if you see them show up.
3. Report/block.
4. If you recognize the naming pattern and level, report everywhere you see them. Camping by rift and market most of the time.
5. Drown the system with ACCURATE reporting. Select scam/fraud.
It shouldn’t be like this, but only we can save ourselves.
Love your idea I hope they can come up with any kind of fix your idea is just super I mean yes it’s beneficial for the buyer. It’s help me upgrade a couple legendary five stars but I felt dirty doing it if that sounds crazy but it’s rough enough going in there are people using no crest at all with a 10 legendary run And there’s enough rumors of people having bots in the game. And people pilot them and selling accounts for 20 K and now they’re farming the elder right in front of your face so don’t give up. Keep trying keep talking to blizzard and net ease got faith in you brother.
like way before u cant run raid if u didnt finish vault raid they should also make a
no raid no elder rift policy
Just do like when farming, standing still for 30 sec = dead. Dead for 30 sec auto kick. Leave or kicked before end your leg crest are returned but no loot for u
Limiting elder rifts like that is not the answer. It is not a fix.
The answer is to take away the exploit. And incentivize staying together as a party.
1) Make it so you must be within some distance of the boss when it dies to get rewards.
2) Make it so the boss at the end spawns closest to the player with highest number of kills.
3) Split elder rifts into hell and inferno so that low levels only run with low levels.
If you must add a penalty, you could give someone a "deserter" timer if they leave before the elder rift ends and lock them out for 10 or 15 minutes.
Those would make a real difference.
Susan is now selling pets for plat. Crests/elder rifts is now not anymore their main market. Now you get pets for free, self then to Susan for Plan. You no longer need to buy crests to make plat. In the end it’s Free Plat
Isn’t it obvious what Susan is doing? They don’t have any gear to complete rifts. It’s time consuming to do it. The character will eventually be deleted. So, they basically jump in and let you do all the work. Then, get the rewards in the mail.
Here is what I think the devs on the bots side are doing. They are manipulating the requests coming and going from the Diablo server to give them certain things. They do this through various utilities hackers usually utilize.
I have better idea: just detect bots and kick them :)

Easiest fix, below 300 paragon and 20k ce, no players are allowed to purchase or able to get purple crest, only red is available for them. Noone gets harmed, bots will leave as it takes longer to get the cr and paragon, they may run red but that would be all they could do. And regular players will be roaming freely in rifts etc. For the normal gem drops, noone under 5000cr gets any gem from 4 man party ow farm. My cluster market is dead to grounds, bottled hope selling for less than 19k, bsj high 20ks, seeping for 16k etc. Those bots harmed our cluster way too much.

That will increase the price on 15k orb accounts from 4
$4-$8 they only last for 3 hours now. To a range that is relevant to the new hourly time it takes for bots to level to needed level to buy and back charge.
At the moment 3 hours isn't long enough to sell 2star and 5star gems they are selling 1star gems and then transferring platinum to main account before ban. ~Honos (paraphrasing a bold pilot and what he revealed in WorldChat)

Lvl 60 requirement and only be able to run 3 at a time with a max of 25 crests a day unless you are within required CR for the difficulty...I dunno just thinking
Bre......this is never gonna happen. Your suggesting caps/requirements on how quickly people can spend money. Yea bots are a problem but you still have real people at low levels buying and playing....optimistic but never gonna happen....
I’ve been playing since the beginning. This was the last straw for me. I quit last week. At least I got to be in an Immortal clan before the game crushed my spirit. Adios Diablo Immortal!
A cheaper market is a good thing. I bet people are buying more platinum to get more gems than to spend at higher prices and maybe only get 1.
Another way to stop the low levels is to NOT use party finder. Lol😅😅😂😂
I think those players have mods, I've seen players who had unlocked and inferno only had very low levels
Every time I see even one of those dudes running Elder Rift on the part, I simply just leave the party. If I can't find any other actual players, I just run it solo and still get better gems most of the time so now I usually just solo Elders Rift and not having to deal with them at all.
Why Its cheating?
Good idea but that will be a bad experience for new players and no one would like to team up with them. The only fix is for Blizzard to make an action and start caring not just on their profits.

Make it to where you need to be in the Hell lvl that your lvl is. If you're lvl 35, then you can not run a Hell 2 Elder Rift

Honestly the three crest only is a horrible solution. It hurts actual players and bots will just run 3 and be more of a nuisance in rifts.

If the gems are going down in price. I don’t care whales are buying and selling regardless of price. gems at lower plat prices boo hoo I’m not complaining drop the price even more so it’s not worth the farm to sell them at those crazy prices

They run thousands of rifts, they get bored and you are doing rift instead of them, they watch TH-cam or something

I want to say what they are doing but i feel almost all whale already know the exploit and people who rarely runleg crest will not notice the bug. This has been in the system since day 1. But was fix last 2022dec but did not totally remove the bug.
Also all comments i see ragarding their theory about why the bots are doing this are almost coming from people who dont really run alot leg crest. If you have run multiple 1000s leg crest run you will notice the pattern aka bug

No if you back out of an elder rift before it’s done you should get blocked from joining and have the cooldown grow exponentially until you wouldn’t be able to do elder rifts for months
I finally quit the game because Blizzard seriously doesn't care about these bots. The servers are virtually empty now and tge high end max people are leaving as normal to other games without being replaced. The game will probably limp on till next year but dont expect support for 2026

I think this is not a good idea. People who are going to whale legitimately can’t do that and the whales are the ones paying for our continued dev attention and new content. There has to be a better way.

That is stupid route, you just slowing people and bot down, nothing more. Blizzard needs to have netease developer or admin go into a dungeon with a bot and then check server log. See what server events are they are sending to the server that could be exploiting it. Case closed.

Do it like Diablo 2 and have seasons so all this shit ppl bought would go to non ladder. I fear the only way to fully fix the problem is to separate the whales(or market) from the free to play ppl. But obviously they're not gonna piss off the cash cows yet.

This is literally money laundering at its best! Blizzard could and should do something but they haven't done anything! It makes me think there’s more going on here than meets the eye! But who knows, myself ive stopped all spending and havent been playing nowhere near as much as i usta! I realy hope theres some sliver of hope left but susan has been doing this forever and each company they do it too/with just turns a blind eye!
Really bad ideas , you're only hurting new players and making them not want to play the game. The real fix is to make Blizzard fix the damn game, end of story, and don't spend any money on the game until they do. Do this and watch how quickly they fix it.
