It's really depressing when you feel that you're not getting any outcome for all the effort you have been putting in, especially when the people around you aren't supportive and you're the only one who believes in yourself.
Going in with a attitude that you are here to stay ; fall in love with the routine - you actually enjoy the process, Never not do the basic things. , critically look at your own work, ask for feedback. I am working now with my old boss and he's paying me good money but 6 months ago I started copywriting and even myself can't believe it that I couldn't get any client. I was desperately sinking into the Dopamine and illusions and I was thinking that new life comes very soon. the result was losing my time completely. now I am happy that I am getting realistic, I am happy that I have done all the shit pleasant things like website building and learning from 100 videos and seen they don't bring for me any client. I am now optimizing my reachouts and I am happy that I found you and your great video.

Thank you! I just started as a freelance copywriter but I was totally the person chasing the dopamine. My biggest take away is I need to focus on the process and fall in love with the boring work. 🙏🏽
I love the fact that you heap on that people take actions due to the feeling dopamine gives you. But it’s doing the actual legwork they forget is what gets your there. You have to learn to enjoy the journey because it’s all a part of it, not just taking pictures.
Literally my condition right now. Looking for clients on Upwork, but no one is responding. I know for sure that I can make videos as good as 90% of channels on TH-cam, but I can't prove it to my potential clients. I'm thinking about registering on Twitter at the same time and try to find clients there + create a couple more "strong videos" on various topics that then create a landing page. The author well done! as clearly as possible understands the inner state of all beginner freelancers and their thoughts. The man with the great practice and full awareness of what he says.

Thank you for this video. You "hit the nail right on the head" with what I am going through. I just started freelancing and it's HARD! An excuse that I keep making is that I live in a very rural area and that demand for video seems low.

Another excellent video about freelancing man. I was wondering if you could make a video about where one can do outreach for potential clients. Obviously there are platforms like Fiverr and Upwork, but these can only do so much for a starting freelancer. Where do you get your clients from? Where do you recommend a beginner should start reaching out to clients?

My close friend has been shooting video and editing that video for about 7 years now and I know first hand its not that easy. I am learning from him to work under him and I understand its going to be a lot of work but its about the journey.

i was the type of person that was constantly watching content on "How to get clients" bla bla bla...
Now, i started sendind DMs, i started cold calling and sending cold emails for the last 4 months and nothing...
No clients, no meetings booked, nothing. How is this possible? Not a single response in dms or emails and only no on phone calls. I really don't know what else i have to do, i even started offering my service for free tbh...

Really. I am doing cold outreach since a 2 months I got 1 client. I am also a beginner. I suggest you to read both alex hormozi's books.
