Some of these spots are in small neighborhoods that don't need excessive traffic and people. AND THE FISHPOND YOU MENTION IN WAIMANALO IS NOT FOR FISHING! Don't invite people to places you obviously know nothing about! This is very disrespectful!
Place anymore. Very disrespectful. I have great respect for the Hawaiin people. The gems I was so graciously introduced to by locals sorry, I kept my word and didn't ever tell a soul
I haven't been to Oahu since 1971 and lived there for 7years prior. When you mentioned Portlock that really took me back, I hadn't heard that name for years ! Thanks for the treat !
Thank you for taking the time and being very descriptive about these places to check out. I especially liked how you did the car thing. That was kewl! Lol keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more about Honolulu and places to see. Have fun, be safe and stop wearing slippahs when hiking lol Mahalo 🤙
I drew the map, roads, and car on different layers in Photoshop then animated the layers in Adobe after effects. I just googled “make object follow a path in After effects”
What a great video, being a surfer I have stuck to the South shore and North shore. It sure looks like it's worth the trip to go check all those places out!
I did all the spots listed in this video. Every spot is amazing but my fav was Waimanalo beach. I could not believe that I had such a beautiful beach with no crowd. Update that the speed limit sign is now 25MPH. The trail is right in front of the speed limit sign.
I was looking forward to waimalano hidden spot, and it’s fairly easy if you stop at the right spot! Which luckily we did! This place is very very nice... if you’re looking to take pictures. The water was very clear turquoise and calm, and the view was stunning. However, it’s not the best to chill in the water, it was rocky. To anyone watching, this video made it easy to find all these beautiful places. I definitely went to go back and hope we see a few more!
@@HIderrick i recommend shoes with good treads. I've been to some of these places where you have to hike down to a cliff. Very dangerous if you slip wearing slippaz. Also now the secret is out, we can't have anything to ourselves. Sorry for being a debbie downer but tourists don't care about our islands They leave their trash for us to pick up. And show an air of entitlement. Go home.
Good Job Hiderrick.. Yet another location you "discovered" when others have been here since the time of christ.... No longer hidden... Good Job Un Hiderick... Keep up the good work... Not!
Do you realize how many lives this affects for your own personal gain smh, this is why people that come to Hawaii and have no respect don't last long in a multitude of ways. RESPECT 🙌
very doable!!! The tunnels are slick and dark. Recommend good fitting sandals and use your light on your phone, you can go all the way to the other side.
considering without his video most tourists and locals ALREADY know these areas. Each one listed I visited, and it was NOT overcrowded - unlike some trails like Manoa Falls or any one of the lighthouse trails.
Great video, you really hit the important things to know and don't take forever on filler like talking about yourself for 5 whole minutes. Informative, descriptive, and to the point. I hope you continue these soon!
Thanks this was super helpful!
Hidden places aaahhhh not hidden now
You're right
great video! I love how you did the driving map thing! Also love your drone shots :) Can't wait to explore!
Thank you so much!
Loved this. I am definitely using for my trip in a few days. Thank you so much
Thanks for taking the time to put this together.
Thank you for watching!
In my days, Waimanalo Beach was empty. This was back in the Forties. My brother just started a farm.

I agree

I couldn't agree more, what is a secret spot when social media is involved. 10 years becomes a not so sacred
Help Derrick! I'm stuck at Halona Beach Coves it's so beautiful!
😅
Excellent information. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Love these types of videos. I hope you make more! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the great video. Informal and a polite way to visit the Islands. ("You sir, receives a 10!").
Thank you 🙏🏽
Going to follow this next week. Hope you can make this kind of video for other parts of the island too.
Excited for you!
Thanks buddy. Nice video.
Thank you!
Thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching!
Stop exposing our places to the masses. Why do you do this? It’s ruining our island with over crowding.
You're right
If he's right why don't you take it down!
oooh I am totally going to check these out! I already have china walls and wainalo beach on my list! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching!

Mahalo 🌺🤙 for such a super great video !
how do you make the map animation? it is very cool. do you have a link where I can learn how to do that?
I drew the map, roads, and car on different layers in Photoshop then animated the layers in Adobe after effects. I just googled “make object follow a path in After effects”
Black point pool is great too
I never been!
Not a fan of selling out. Whoever you are. Not cool for whatever gain you’re going for.
You're right
This was a great video, thank you I’m definitely going to be visiting a few of these spots
Thanks!
Thank you for watching!
Mahalo for overcrowding spots for a few likes. Pimping of Hawaii
We live in Oahu and still have not been to many of these places. Thank you for all your tips
You are so welcome! I honestly didn't know many of these places for a long time too!
You did a good job on this video
Thank you!
Good job Dude. I grew up in Waimanalo.
Thanks!!

Loved this video💛🙌
Portlock Beach is rocky, shallow, and barely any place in the shade. The grassy areas are private I think.
Great stuff! I have not been to all of those yet but you just gained a loyal subscriber.
Thank you so much!
Nice secret spots! Description is very good too!
Glad you think so!
Thanks, I can't wait to come back after covid. Rick (philadelphia)
Great!!
Good info! How did you do the map thing with the car cursor moving? Lol
Thank you! I used Adobe After Effects to animate it. A lot of crying was involved LOL
Really great job showing the locations and how to get there. Definitely should do more.
Thank you!

Was the walk to Halona Beach Cove really scary? Or was it pretty doable.
It is super easy. You can do it on flip flops!
very doable!!! The tunnels are slick and dark. Recommend good fitting sandals and use your light on your phone, you can go all the way to the other side.
The fish pond is real close to the former house of Magnum P I too bad they tore everything down.
It's behind Obama's new home now
5. Waimanalo Beach ⛱ my hometown ❤🤙
I love your hometown 😊
Yeah, let's point out the obvious to make it all even more crowded, and dangerous, and unappealing. Good Job Un Hiderick!!!
You’re right

Mahalos
Thank you!
I grew up in Hawai’i Kai in Kalama Valley. I live in NYC now.
Hawaii Kai is definitely a nice area to grow up in!
These are not hidden any more. They are so crowded

Who else is here during covid, andis watchign this for some exitmet in their life?
Thank you for watching!
Found u Derrick! Like smashed
Thank you Mike!
At 3:40 I didn't know tell my friend told me abt it
Yay!
Magnum PI house was at your last stop you were to young to remember that show lol
They are building Obama's new home there now lol
These areas are subject to death😳
you’re right, Obama’s gonna have a lot of visitors in his backyard for sure
Good one braddah. 🤙
Do you know any beach area with BBQ grill thats open for public use?!
Sorry, I never seen any public grills open for free-use. Locals normally just bring their own grills to the beach
Skip straight to 4 and 5. TRUST ME.
Hehehehe
Don't approve of spot exposing.
You're right
THANK YOU SO MUCH for such a detailed video !! I’m going in January for the first time I want to go to these place!!!
