Something I did with my Korg Triton, that I thought was worth sharing. No sequencers, just drums and me. Pardon the crude audio / video. Its my first time posting on TH-cam.
There's nothing better than an amazing musician that's humble! Not to many of those around anymore. I've been playing for 27 years and I've got to say that was without a doubt, STELLAR PERFORMANCE!
I still have my Triton Pro X and it is still in mint condition. Will have to check this sound out. Very well done! After all the years since i bought it back in 2000 i thought i would eventually trade it up for a newer keyboard. However, I still cant seem to part ways with it. Now I have the PA4X, KronosX and still my Trusty ole Triton ProX with all the options on it. Still a great tool to have for any keyboardist. some of the combos on this keyboard are just such classics. Great Board, Thanks for Sharing.
Ok, I have a KORG Triton pro, and I got to check this out. Ever since I had this, there is hundreds of patches to explore. I know I had installed the upgrade boards back in 1998, and I should have this patch. Thanks for sharing. 👍
That’s the magic of combos on the Triton. With 2 arps on combi mode you can put drums on the arp and assign the arp to only play on certain keys. The RPPR function lets you assign whole sequences to a key. You just got learn to turn that feature on and make your own patterns
Excellent timing and skillz. Very motivational. It starts out so humble too but when you get your hands on those keys all proper like and such... Nice. Choice.
Thank you, for me it is a toss up between a Korg Triton or a Roland XP80 watching this the Korg wins, but then again I'm still learning the art of Synthesizers.
+Lawrence Kennard I see you left a comment on one of my videos saying I said something "racist", but I can't seem to access your full comment to see what exactly you were talking about. Care to explain yourself?
flemmygun - You should check out Tritonheaven. There's 1,000+ free patches there + manuals, OS upgrades, editors/librarians, etc. The Rose & Legacy series are excellent. I don't have a single stock patch left on my Triton. Banks A - F (I have the MOSS expansion board) are all custom patches. Honestly, the Rose series transoms the Triton into a new keyboard. It has many pads, synths, (soft, hard, motion), leads, etc, but few acoustic sounds. It's great for electronics, dance, soundscapes, etc.
@Pittstudent21 You can buy one used if you find one... It is a discontinued product as is the whole triton-family... now Korg is selling M3 and the M50 is sort of a Lé version of it...
Awesome man I honestly can't manage to play with left right hand as much yet, You did that song in two hours doing as much as arpeggio with both hands individually each awesome piece.
@funkb0x Actually, the thing you see is simply a Mackie Industries VLZ Mixer. Thats really all I have, just the Korg, mixer, and a computer that I run the Sony Vegas software for multitracking and stamping the occasional CD.
You are lucky to have the kronos pro x - I tried buying the pro x 88 key but the company went into receivership and then I had to choose a kronos 76 instead :( Still fantastic! My next purchase for live performances is the triton that will also compliment my oasys in the studio.
I agree with an earlier poster, damn good job and don't sell yourself short. I was just pokin around youtube tonight for Triton tips and found your video. I've got two Tritons right now - my first, the Triton Classic and my newer one the Triton Extreme. I was almost considering selling my older Triton, but am going to keep - and use both. ( almost considered the newer Korg Kronos actually but hated to think about shelling out another 3 grand! ouch.) Hope you are still playing? Keep it up!
I love it! I hear this demo song from time to time, it's just so cool. Now, I have a trinity Pro (with prophecy board), not a Triton. Do you know how to recreate this program/combi on the Trinity? I'd love to play it but can't really program the Trinity eheh
Cool demo. You should really check out some custom/3rd party Triton programs/patches. (@ Tritonhaven &/or Korgforums (.com) They take the Triton to a whole new level. (I've replaced all my factory/stock programs) I have a Korg Kronos X, Kurzweil PC3K, Alesis Fusion, Yamaha EX5 & Motif 6/classic w/PLG150-AN (analog modeling board) installed & many other synths, but my Triton Pro X (w/EXB-MOSS & EXB-PCM "Analog Archives" & "Trance Attack" installed) is still my favorite synth.
that is fantastic !! does the KORG have something like a rhythm bank which can support chords and any instrument on top of it? looks like the instrument is tied to the rhythm and cannot be changed..
Great idea that i actually did try to experiment with.Tried with several different patches, and even some of my own, and it just kind of muddied up the resolution, Thanks for the insight
Could you please help me? I own a triton and have yet to figure out how to get to the mode where there are just drum choices, as in you hit the keys and there are only drum sounds or hit start and it plays different drum sets seems like global 5.1 but not sure press global button and I know not how to change it to 5.1 if that is the way to just play drums on the keyboard trying to figure out manuel but my ancient egyptian is a little off..:) thanks alan
Hello. I know this is an old video but I got a korg triton as gift and I’m trying to set a piano. I don’t need other sound actually but I would appreciate some help on setting a grand piano.
& BTW, be sure to check out Kronosheaven. There are some really amazing & awesome, free, Kronos patches there. I download well over 1,000. So besides the Oasys & Kronos, do you have any other synths? I'm something of a fanatic for vintage, 1980's-90's synths. Currently I have 11 synths & 8 sound modules. Casio CZ-1 & HT-6000, Korg Poly 800, DW8000, Trinity TR-Rack (& Kronos/Triton), Roland W30, JV1010 & XV5080, Yamaha Motif 6 & EX5, Alesis QSR & more + most of the sound expansions for them all.
stage or ableton. I use an Akai apc40 with ableton for on stage loops control whilst I am drumming and hope to do the same with keys too! How do you rate the pads samples? Cheers Jonny

Perfect tune for a video game from 90s
indeed! i too had old Chris Huelsbeck tunes in mind immidiately
Loved it man!!! Nostalgic from snes days vibe. Excellent playing also
The tension of that poised right hand, bar after bar
Incredible. Would love if you put out an album that was entirely like this.
Sounds like a McGuyver montage where he gets in trouble, saves the girl, gets out of trouble, and goes home.

very nice performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool! I dig the 70's/80's kind of riff you have going there. Thanks for sharing!
these things are amazing! I was lucky enough to pick one up with a hard case a few months back for only £160!!!

GREAT ENERGETIC MEMORY AND BASS !

like 80s soundtrack music, but quite better. Thanks, man...
Nice left hand. C minor is one of my favorite keys to do that harmonic type stuff like that. Well done.

Cool job man!!! Keep it UP!!! You deserved my THUMBS UP!!! I Salute you from Maringá, State of Paraná, South Brazil !!!
Thank you, for me it is a toss up between a Korg Triton or a Roland XP80 watching this the Korg wins, but then again I'm still learning the art of Synthesizers.
What was your experience?? I'm just now delving into it myself

Fvckin fvck!
This is hot stuff... And it just took it only two hours to come up with that!?
My dear gosh, wish I had half the talent he has.
Very nice tune. I've got a Triton as well but haven't used it to the fullest... Wish it was easier to work with it.
its actually really intuitive, menus are solid and everything is dank just alot of functionality to sort through
Nice Playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweeet right hand stuff right there.
cool
I love it! Thanks for sharing your gift :)
+Lawrence Kennard I see you left a comment on one of my videos saying I said something "racist", but I can't seem to access your full comment to see what exactly you were talking about. Care to explain yourself?
As you can see he replies to wrong people all the time
Sounds kinda like it was inspired by Anosphere, a little. I am not complaining at all. Great job. Wish I can make my Triton LE sound that good.

Pretty freakin cool. Reminded me of an old school action movie.

I think you changed program D038 - Hybrid Bass (part of the combination programs Group) setting legato=off, right?

Somebody has probably responded to this several times but... Mega Man Its a video game. The music kind of reminds me of it too. Nicely done btw.
I feel like I stepped into and 80's disco :)
That was awesome
Fantastic!
To prove my point, I have handed over my Karma, O1/W, etc to many musicians (keyboardists) and most of them could not get the board to work for them.
Wow man this is awesome!

Well done. Played very well. I have the same prox, but with my short sausage fingers i can forget to do the right hand according. :(

Really nice work! How long have you owned the Triton?
Damn that was so fuckin awesome.

Upload more! It's no good when it's not out there!
Could you please help me? I own a triton and have yet to figure out how to get to the mode where there are just drum choices, as in you hit the keys and there are only drum sounds
