    I'm an ex tyre fitter and if it stays up use it til it wears out, we used to use a similar system but glued the plug and fitted it from the inside. However for 'mainly' off road applications such as dumpers, we'd use the string type to save removing a tight as hell tyre. Thumbs up from me!!!

      Cheers Ian, oddly enough it was an ex tyre fitter that told me pretty much the same thing, thanks for the comment, much appreciated.

      I heard the same thing in that though these are temp fixes people have used them for thousands of miles without issue. 👍

    Hi Billy, I just did a reaction on your old video and you have given me directly a nice reply. After that I suddenly saw your excellent, beautifull, brand new video. And I see that I can also do rear tires with it 😊 I hope I never need it but if I ever do I use my mobilephone and go to your video and use you as a speaking manual. So I have you always on the move as well. I also will use the kit, specialy the compressor to keep my caravan tires on the right pressure if I don't use the caravan like this (Corona) year.

      Cheers Bert, it’s a top bit of kit that, like you say, i hope you never gave to use. Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

    Excellent demonstration! Very clear and concise with top notch camera work. I carry the Slime brand air compressor, which looks like yours. And I have always used the rope style plugs, which work great, but can be a bit messy as you stated.

    Wish I’d bought this one first, just purchased the string one 10 mins. Before I watched this video, got a big screw in my rear tyre to fix. See how the string one does 👍

    I have had the kit for years but never had to use it, I started useing puncture safe slime in my tyres, but turns out over the years it has rusted the inside of the roms, my two new tyres both leaked air from the rim, just had them taken off and treated the rims cleaned and treated with a special paint. So I am going to revert back to the stop and go kit, for the bike and car.

    I have used the Dynaplug repair kit twice on my 2 punctures, that kit is simple to use as well, but doesnt come with a compressor, but I have a rechargable compressor I have under my seat on bike. This kit looks good too.

    • @billy4rocks
      @billy4rocks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      SeaSideGuy yeah the compressor was a massive selling point for me, especially as essentially it lives on the bike permanently. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.

      @@billy4rocks No problem, always good to learn from others :) Had 2 punctures this year on fairly new tyres, still riding with them dynaplugs in. :) I just make sure my rechrgable compressor is charged every 6 months. Ride all year on my bike down here on South Coast Kent

    That's really interesting as I am planning on getting a repair kit and have been watching vid's on both leaving me unsure which is the best I do like the idea of the Mushroom cos it makes sense to me . I understand that they do not have glue on them so are held completely by the tire pressure but after seeing your vid I can see it at least lasts a week which is plenty of time . Thanks I will now subscribe to see more stuff .: )

      It's an expensive kit but looks to be good quality and as I have an almost identical triumph explorer to yours I know it'll all fit under the seat giving me the additional peace of mind 😊

    your supposed to blow th tyre up then cut off the excess from the plug.. when you blow the tyre up the tyre expands resulting in the plug being drawn back into the hole therefore the plug can fail

      @@billy4rocks Well I tracked one down and have it for delivery. I had those sticky strips and the T bar tools but added a portable rechargeable air compressor a few years ago, however its always discharged and the size means I cannot store easily on the bike. This new kit is all in one and small, I'm all for that. Again many thanks,

    • @billy4rocks
      @billy4rocks  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nordkapp excellent, i could only find the full kit on ebay, pretty cheap considering. Hopefully you’ll never have to use it.
