Cylindrical air filters are a better design and have a greater surface area. Toyota going to the V8 introduced so many design bugs. The 100/105 series six cylinder diesels were less troublesome and very reliable. Cheers
Great advice mate. Just curious. How much dust will take to kill an engine? I noticed that the air box also flexes at full load. Would that make the air and dust go through the seams?
Mate… you’ve fixed the sound… Awesome… Love your video’s 👍👍

i fixed my 200 series dusting issues--- i bought a y62 patrol--- problem solved and has been faultless
Same issue since 2008, Toyota never fixed it. What a great copmpany!
Love your videos mate. Can I suggest an edit to the video title. Caught* instead of court. Cheers.
I thought one of the main issues was the warping of the air-box walls due to heating and cooling in the engine bay?
Is the VDJ rebuildable after dusting?

Just a little dust and grid will score cylinders. Then you lose compression, start burning oil etc
I think if you live in a dusty area, just replace every 6 months, takes 2 minutes and costs 10 bucks. That’s CHEAP INSURANCE
