I'm English and live on Yorkshire Gold tea, which is what we call builder's tea (very strong!) By the way, I don't know if I'm right, but us Brits refer to Twinings with a long I, so twine-ings

Ooh good to know!! I’ll have to try and remember that! I’ll have to try Yorkshire Gold tea, I think that I’ve seen it in some stores here!!

@@kaylaskitchen3132 I live in the US now and get mine on Amazon. I know Amazon is evil, but it's so much cheaper than in the shops!

I'll second the pronunciation of Twinnings as "twine (like the string) + ings" 😉

I mostly like Irish breakfast tea best. Stash has a good one called super Irish breakfast. Also adagio makes good English breakfast and Irish breakfast varieties. From what you said I think adagios English breakfast is similar to harney and sons variety.

I enjoyed this video so much! I have tried both English and Irish from different brands and tea sellers, my personal favourite has to be Irish (bolder and robust). Right now i'm trying to do my own blends with single origin teas.

This was pretty neat, I've thought about doing a big breakfast tea showdown with English, Irish, and Scottish breakfast teas. I've found a couple companies who also have American and Canadian breakfast blends. I'm not a big fan of plain black tea though so not sure how well that would actually go.

This was so interesting! I have only had the English breakfast and Irish Breakfast fron Twinings. I prefer the English Breakfast myself. It’s actually my husband’s favourite tea.

I didn't know the history of the teas. But I found I like Irish breakfast more than English because it was more malty and bold. I even had a craving for that stuff last year.

Having a pot of English Breakfast from Twinings. Another excellent English Breakfast is Queen Victoria which I also have.
Have plenty of Irish Breakfast as well😊.
I love your expertise on the different tea! I am now a new subscriber of your channel 👍.

I enjoyed this video! I’m currently drinking a cup of Adagio’s Tiger Eye, but typically an English breakfast would be my starter for the day. Unless I’m extremely tired and then I lean more towards the Irish Breakfast, because it honestly hits me so much more with the caffeine 😅

I like both english and irish breakfast tea but both taste the same to me. Though irish seems malty and dark reddish color. These are my morning teas only. My afternoon tea is Earl grey. I really like Twinings brand.

Bit odd that you only referenced Irish Breakfast teas produced by non-Irish companies. My experience with Irish Breakfast teas blended in the UK is that they are very different to those actually blended in Ireland. The quintessential Irish Breakfast tea is arguably Barry’s ‘Gold Blend’ which adds a nice hit of Kenyan to the Assam.

Hey girl! I think I like English breakfast better than Irish breakfast. I like the twinings one but I also like English breakfast from Aldie under the brand called BEN and ER. Speaking of that brand from Aldie, I also really like their seasonal candy cane tea. Have you had any from them?

    • @kaylaskitchen3132
      @kaylaskitchen3132  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I have not had that tea before, I should look out for it! I don’t have any Aldies near me (I’m on the west coast) so hopefully I can find it somewhere!

    Twinning is pronounced twine ing.
I watched a video featuring the grandson of the twinning family and he said it was pronounced twine ing

However Irish people do not drink the Irish Breakfast teas you mentioned in your video, it actually tastes terrible in comparison with the Irish tea. Our main two tea brands are Barry's and Lyons. I hope you can try out the proper irish teas, and see why we are the 2nd highest tea drinkers per capita in the world, the first is Turkey.
