- In celebration of Zelda Cinematica's Kickstarter reaching the first stretch goal and allowing Chrono Cinematica CD albums to be re-produced, here is the finale piece from my Chrono Trigger album!
Thanks for listening, check out Zelda Cinematica on Kickstarter and get Chrono Cinematica CDs! kck.st/2pyhu8I
Kids today have no idea how close the world came to an end, twenty yeara ago.
I love chrono trigger, and I’m only 13.
Yeah I saved everyone and defeated Lavos. You're welcome everybody
@@Moros-if6bz Finally, a child of quality.
I am literally 20 years old and I also love Chrono Trigger
Edit: Actually, a lot of my friend group loves Chrono Trigger, and I'm older than almost all of them. We are pretty well-versed in gaming and a lot of even obscure games like Ico, Resonance of Fate, or even Phantom Dust.
The GOAT of jrpgs.
I cry every time I listen to this version. It captures the essence of what it was like playing this game for the first time and getting to the end. My heart is racing, a part of me is scared I won't make it, then when I did it... The ending... The music, the epic conclusion, it was the a glorious moment in my gaming life.
I'm glad to hear that!
You are welcome! If you ever do anything for Final Fantasy 8, I would love to hear that!
tfw you played this game daily after school as a kid, got every ending repeatedly with lvl☆☆ characters.
my favorite was the ending with Chrono and Marle carried away on balloons. The balloon ride fit 'To far away times' alot better than racing around in the Epoch imo
Lavos, the Old Gods of WoW before Wow existed.... Flies through space, corrupts worlds to gain strength and power, then spreads to more
I was view 666 and I must say my soul was well worth the price of admission for this uniquely beautiful masterpiece. Please stay happy and healthy because you and your work are priceless treasures!!
If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh.
Magus
Magus is the Best in the Game.
The wind is howling someone amoung you will surely perish. Magus
The black wind howls. One among you...
(Insert dramatic pause for gravity)
Will soon perish.
That's how I always read it when it comes up in the game.
☆go1☯ I didn't even know it was an easter egg until I read it somewhere else so I thought it was the normal music. It made sense because it was too good not to reuse and if there was someone that should have it it would be his mother
Until he takes the fucker on by himself.
This is so good!!
Eyyyyyyy terminalMontage big fan, nice seeing you here
Please do a Chrono Trigger animation. I played the game for the first time in January last year and I now love it to death. It would mean a lot to me if you could
Yes, yes it is.
@@OfficialRSD Where ?🥲
"Something about Chrono Trigger" hehe
Human hands created me...
But life is life! I am no different from Lucca and the others!

The beauty of all your renditions is that you capture the SPIRIT of these games, not just the notes of their music.
Thou speaketh true! T'would make one not even mind being a frog!
Thumbs up #200
The only thing missing are the Lavos noises. I swear the sound guys had WAY too much fun combining and fiddling with various noises until they came up with a cry that sounded truly alien. ....I freaking love this cover, by the way.
It also didn't have that effect in the final battle where the noises zoomed from one ear to the other when you wear headphones, which made me sad! When I heard that for the first time, I thought that was the COOLEST shit
@Ben Siener if my headphones dont get blasted the fuck out by lavos REEEEEEEEEEEing i dont wanna hear it
Honestly, I’m perfectly fine without the Lavos noises blasting my ears rofl
All these years later, that sound effect still makes my skin crawl.
@Ben Siener No, the "REEE" thing started on 4chan, as mocking autists and pretty much anyone else they didn't like because they had a sense of sympathy
BUCKLE UP, WE'RE CRASHING THE EPOCH INTO LAVOS HIMSELF! TO 1999 AD!
Uh, sure, go do that. Its a silly plan. And you will not have any time machine afterwards, in the event of cat mayhem or something. But sure, go ahead and sacrifice one of your greatest assets to bust open something you could totally kill easily without it.
@@SephirothRyu Well, if you do that, you SKIP THE FIRST PHASE!!! it's just battling the same bosses again...If you crash the Epoch into him, you SKIP IT!!! so, if you want to get to the REAL fight, YOU CRASH IT INTO HIM!!!
All my homies fight Lavos in 10000 BC. Take him out ASAP and stop the disaster before it can even happen
If SquareEnix ever pulls their head from their ass and remakes Chrono Trigger, they should ABSOLUTELY call these guys to for the soundtrack.
Funny thing though is that there is no 'these'. This is a one man show that you are enjoying. :) But seriously, I agree with you.
I found that out after I posted this. Which is REALLY impressive.
Agreed.
Please god dont remake this game. Leave well enough alone...
I'll take an actual sequal that follows the canon ending (marle and crono going to find his mom) lavos and the gates came from somewhere having that explained would be nice and would make for a better game the crono cross
Destruction rains from the heavens!
My favorite part of the lavos fight
The End Of All And Nothing!
Evil emenetion lavos attack up
The song World Revolution is by far one of my favorite themes in any game. Chrono Trigger still stands as my all time favorite game to play. Your renditions of these themes brings so much nostalgia to me that i almost tear up. You're doing such a great job at all of this so please keep it up!
That's my favorite boss theme
the most epic battle of all time, when you for the first time kill the shell, discover the next form, then finally the core, whew... it s pure epicness
You really captured the feel to these songs... i pray often they remake CT the same way they did ff7... could you imagine?
Lavos, the dream devourer, and the destroyer of worlds, he may have powers akin to a god, but that doesn't mean he's immortal!
La VoS es DeuS
He is just a parasite, the dream devour thing shouldn't even had been possible in the first place.
I never thought anyone could make the Inner Core theme anymore apolcalyptic than it already was...but you did!
7:51 - I stopped my important work and had to IMMEDIATELY come here to write this comment, like and subscribe, all for that part just there. This entire symphony is time's entrusted gift to us.
This is my all time favorite piece from the whole of Chrono Cinematica. You work is nothing short of masterful. I'm super jazzed about Zelda and got in on the kickstarter as early as I could. My only regret is that I can't afford to contribute any more than I have.
Seeing how well it's doing, I feel a little better about my inability to just throw cash at you and scream "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"
Thank you! Honestly, even if everyone just backed for like a few bucks, the fact that so many people have turned up to show support is somehow more encouraging to me (as an artist) than the actual funding, but I'm happy we will be able to produce more discs for Chrono and probably Metroid, and maybe even get vinyl releases which would be really cool
Do you want to make me cry with this amazing rendition ? Because that's how you get me to cry with amazing renditions.
You wanna cry? You REALLY wanna cry? You'll hear a "bang!" xD th-cam.com/video/A1EllfadJ_s/w-d-xo.html
You've perfectly captured the essence of this music. Thank you so much for this!
It makes me think about the part where the Kingdom falls, but in the aftermath you can see a girl standing next to the bag of seeds, hope.
When the "Too far away" theme came on. Hope suddenly appeared. So graceful. 😭
Beautifully done! A lot of very fond memories came rushing back while listening to this amazing piece!
One day, long from now, loooong from now.....we shall see a real Chrono Trigger movie, with everything they have thrown at it.
This should be an anime I mean the guy who made Dragonball did the artwork and stuff so it's possible I would definitely watch it as an anime you would also be able to get more in it than a movie I feel like a movie would have to skip over way to much stuff
It couldn't be fit into a movie. Too long of a story.
Some stories are meant for movies, other for books, this one is for a videogame.
An anime or movie would never be good enough.
@@thelittleghost2302 How about a movie Trilogy? They could make that work.
@Lavos I think i would have preferred to have chrono then dbz.
Let's party like it's 1999!
This is the best rendition of World Revolution I've ever heard. You're the first remixer I've seen to get that this song needs a deep and powerful brass section.
7:52 :'-) I will die yes!
In peace.
This is our planet! And we're taking it back!
~Marle
何度聴いても最高!
This needs like 500 million more views
Best version of "World Revolution" I'd ever heard.
I think one of the biggest reasons this is so compelling is the reverberation/hall effect. So many renditions of this music doesn't convey the scale of what this battle was meant to represent. In this remix, you feel like you're in the massive presence of Lavos with song echoing from the heavens. All too many other remixes make you feel like you're listening to the music in a small room, whereas this gives you the sheer scale of the battle.
It's the same with Dillard's other compositions like his Star Trek medley; the reverberations are perfect for a surround effect that immerses the subject as if the space in which he is listening is as vast as the outer reaches of space itself.
Brilliantly done.
I'm pretty sure I forgot to breathe for 9 minutes.
Do you by any chance want to be a pirate?
I loved this remix of Chrono Trigger music. I could see the ending practically as it was zooming out on the earth on the snes. I nearly cried. You are absolutely amazing!
Nearly cried? You need to, you gotta cry your eyes out!
Final Fantasy 7 remakes gives me hope. Not because it is my favorite far from it. If it is a success then perhaps we can one day get a Chrono Trigger as a remake. One day just maybe.
Could you imagine Chrono Trigger given a remake using a battle system similar to what will be used in the FF7 remake? The mix of real time and ATB
Lavos, yeah you're right. Chrono Trigger doesn't need a remake. It's perfectly great the way it already is. But it's fun to imagine, it's cool to think about the possibilities 😄
A Chrono Trigger remake?
Or finally release of Chrono Break to tie up the loose ends from Chrono Cross and the DS Remake of Chrono Trigger
I think you’re expecting too much out of Square
Chrono Trigger has one of the best music during its time for video games and still is good right now.
This perfectly captures the feeling I had when I first got to fight Lavos. Beautifully done!
I have no words to describe how underrated your work is.. I feel like *every* person that played Chrono Trigger *MUST* listen to your _remakes_ of CT's songs. It's genuine perfection, it captures the game's atmosphere perfectly, it makes me feel completely immersed and imagining how each area of which each song belongs to, would look like on today's graphics.
If there's ever a CT remake, I feel like you should be hired, hell, even if they would just throw in your remakes without any editing, it would be perfect already.
that organ flourish at like 1:55! i am in LOVE!
2 words ...HOLY CRAP this is the way way it should have been when fighting the time god himself
just felt chills listening to this and I am right back in 1995
This game is the best game of all
Time. It introduced 12 year old me the concepts that wouldn’t really be studied in any western media for another 5-15 years and I don’t mean just time travel. Go ahead and play it if you haven’t
3:58 - Wonderful Image/Picture
25+ years and this still gives me the same chills from the first time I fought that world destroyer... thank you so much for so much epicness!!!! :D
The greatest video game ever made.
Truest words ever spoken!!!!!
It gave me goosebumps! Thank you for that!
Impossible...
*You can't expect to toy with an entire planet and think I'll let you get away with it!*
~Lucca
…I’m suddenly reminded of Unicron.
This was spectacular. Absolutely stellar work, The fade in from To far away times to Cronos main theme was utterly superb!! Complete excellence!
The incredible thing about Lavos, is that it is a present threat throughout the entirety of the game, and never speaks to the heroes. It's arguable that the Villains enthralled by Lavos' power (Like the Queen of Zeal) May have never even communicated with it themselves. Lavos, in that way, is like a force of nature, a cog in the machinery of reality....making the hero's victory all the more incredible within the story.
Lavos is not the master of all the villains of the story, but rather their logical endpoint. Lavos is the distilled failures of those Crono and the gang fought against.
Oh wow, the "to far away" tunes at the half end of the music CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD! I'm getting the heebie jeebies!
I've listened to a few remixes of the Lavos battle, but this one is definitely the most epic, that vocal in the background...I could just have an entire song of just that part and be happy.
Nearly to the thirty-year mark, and the music of Chrono Trigger is as timeless as the story implies time itself is. ❤️
the only game where in order to save the world you have to destroy a Monstrous Titanic Parasite from Out of Space, to be more clear a Gigantic Space Tick.......
you have done a great job on this remix ! sounds great ! Chrono trigger is a great game, one of the best jrpg's of all time, Chrono cross has my heart out of the two games though.
The only possible downside to this is: World Revolution, as well as the ending theme, are not separate and full songs in their own right. Because frankly, that would be awesome.
I still get chills when I hear it, 30 years later.
Final Team
Chrono Magus and Frog
Everyone else's?
Very often it's usually Crono, Marle, and Ayla... Final Kick can deal upwards of 5k damage under the right circumstances. That and it just looks friggin' awesome.
Magus, Marle, Lucca. Magus is a pimp, yo.
It depends on how I approach the ending. If I'm climbing the Black Omen, I'll usually use Magus, Crono, and Marle. If nothing else, just so I can see Magus trash talk Zeal!
Otherwise, I'll usually go with Crono, Frog, and Marle for Double Cure and Arc Impulse.
Chrono, Marle, Lucca, the old fashion way
Chrono, Ayla, Frog. Just because I like the 3D Attack visualization. Oh and the slurp kiss is very helpful while luminaire is being cast.
Chrono Cinematica has been on heavy rotation as I prepare for Zelda Cinematica! Can't wait!
Absolute brilliance. The gravity of this cinematica is undeniable; and I won't deny it. Sam, you're a gift. May the world appreciate your talent.
Thank you!!
Assistindo em NOVEMBER-2019... ChronoTrigger é um dos melhores jogos já criados, e merece muito um remake ou continuação.
My life retains it's meaning!
We have our OWN WILL!
This is a great song!!!
.....but I'm still hungry.
I hope your HP/MP is restored tho!
Absolutely beautiful! Both the visual art and the musical adaptation! Gorgeous!
Brilliant! I often listen to these themes when there is a close, tense election being decided [no more politics than that though] Powerful!
You ever do NES Sound Tracks, specifically a gem called Crystalis? Its got a killer soundtrack to work from.
Crystalis was fucking amazing. An NES title that outdid some future SNES titles.
this is amazing
So glad to find someone actualy remix this. final boss music is not remix enough.
This is what plays when you realize Magus’s cat never got his hooman back
Me facing life with $1 left in my pocket
Its by far the BEST ARRANGEMENT made to this masterpiece i ever heard, it just give me chills enjoying such a piece of art. THANK YOU for sharing this, regards from mexico.
I was able to hold it together until Memories of Green kicked in. Now it's raining inside for some reason.
This is absolutely beautiful. 2018/10
That moment when it switches to the Final Battle theme 😍
BUT... THE FUTURE REFUSED TO CHANGE
But it could change. With this epic battle
And we still REMAIN!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!!!!
POV : you wondering what the bucket does
This music got me so filled with memories of the game! Beautiful!!!
Its a shame there isn't a dedicated version of "To Far Away Times." We just get a little of it in the middle of this.
I wouldn't say we got a little of it. We got around three minutes of it. it starts at 4:55 and ends at 7:51 I think. I would love a dedicated version as well though. I loved that part.
Great remix, but I feel like "Lavos Core" was a tad too short...
You mean waaaay too short
This is our world! And I mean ours! "Nadia"
a masterpiece!!!!
Amazing, I cried too!
It is decided. After so many years of having this game around, I MUST make some sort of animated homage to this masterpiece!
Cette musique est magique, et superbement bien retravaillée. Bien joué Sam ;-)
I came here from listening to Seiken Densetsu 3/Trials of Mana music. This rendition brought a tear to this old man's eye, it brought me back to the final battle against Lavos when I first did it all those years ago and the soaring heights knowing that the future really could change afterward. I've heard many renditions of these three songs over the years, but none have moved me so thoroughly.
Thank you.
Wow!! Justice done to an what is normally an unreachably amazing piece. Way to work in a more full-bodied version of the main theme at the end. The first part of the inner Lavos battle was probably most impressive though. So beautifully intense.
Absolutely MAGNIFICENT!!! Thank you for this wonderful music!
0:49-4:04
If and when they do a Chrono Trigger Remake... like they did for Final Fantasy VII, and now Trials of Mana... they should ABSOLUTELY have something like this be the final battle's music...
@Lavos I respect your opinion on this matter... on another note, I would encourage you to watch videos of the FF7 Remake (or better yet, play it yourself) that has been recently released, more specifically toward the latter half of the game where the plot makes a huge deviation from the original... FF7's Remake is not a true remake of the game, it's first part only spans from the beginning to after the post-Shinra HQ highway chase... this basically makes the game more of a "retcon sequel," which would make more sense for any Chrono series entry as time / dimensional travel is already a part of the story, where as shoe-horning it into FF7 (Cloud and co. might as well be "Chrono Triggers" of their own regard at this point) seemed out of place IMO... I feel that IF Square Enix WAS going to do a Chrono Trigger Remake (regardless of how you and I would feel about it), they should follow the same formula they did for FF7's "Remake" (again, not a true Remake)... if they did a 100% true-to-original remake, then I would be inclined to agree with you that such a remake would be bad for Chrono Trigger, at that point they might as well port the original to PS5... since why not, they've already done that for PS1, iPhone, PSNetwork, and Android...
@Lavos I'm just frankly tired of them porting Chrono Trigger DS to so many platforms, I would love for Square Enix to somehow breathe new life into the series... a sequel to Cross would be the best way to do that, but with them so hyper-fixated on milking FFs, I honestly feel that the Chrono series will stay dead... it's kind of depressing for me to think about... there are friends I grew up with who were also Chrono fans, they were hoping for a sequel in 2005, then 2010, then 2015... some of them aren't around anymore, so to speak... I will be thinking of them if and when I play a new Chrono entry... quite honestly at this point, if I had the time, I would probably just make a remake or new title myself... but I would NEVER publish it, since we know how that ends... cough... C&D... cough...
I kinda wanna see Godzilla VS Lavos now lol. This picture makes me think it would be an epic kaiju battle.
This is a gem! A totally fitting over the top arrangement for the original track!
The future will change.
I love this so much! Especially the "To Far Away Times" part at 4:55! It almost sounds like it's mixed with "Theme of Super Metroid" at the vocal parts.
I may have actually heard a hint of Tourian around 2:47.
How is it that the Chrono and Xenogears series were never truly expanded upon as much as final fantasy? I Mean there’s 15+ FF games, surely at some point they could’ve tried something different
I wonder who will, ORT or Lavos since they're essentially the same.
One could evolve to utilize time travel, and one has tentacles that could reach higher dimensional planes outside of time
"Whether the Fire fades into eternal darkness or burns brighter than it ever has, one thing is assured: your fate...WILL...BE...EARNED."
Dude I'm in love with this. AMAZING work!!!
In the end, nothing changed
For the best World Revolution cover extended, 1:00 to 3:00, then back to 1:30.
