When I walked out across the parking lot. I saw my ex. With my dog she took in the divorce. In her new mustang GT. With her new boyfriend. She looked right at me smiling shaking her head. I stood there shaking with rage. Tears started pouring out my fucking face. I wasn't pissed at my ex moving on with her life. I was pissed because I've been drinking mine away for the past two years. I flung that fucking bottle in to a field across from the parking lot. Went home and started working out. The goal wasn't to get in shape, to loose weight, to look better to the opposite sex. It was to get my fucking head straight. Its funny how much I can accomplish in 6 weeks. Imagine what I can do with 6 months, a year, two years. Thank you for your words David. Because if it wasn't for finding one of your videos the day before all of this went down. I think I would be dead. You gave me the push. Now I got the rest.

Ferguson got knocked out for putting his body under stress when he did not have to. He did that 2 times within a month and it made him weak and slow. Great mental will but paid the price with a broken orbital and a loss in the fight.

It isnt worth it....I was always pushing and pushing...running til I bled, lifting heavier weights, breaking down barriers in my career, getting college degrees....then BOOM......I collapased, got shingles, then arthritis, then frozen shoulder, then asthma...then more arthtritis, then sarcoidoisis,.......ALL permanent damage caused by going to war on my body and mind. You cant keep pushing fellas...your body will eventually break down. You are only mortal. Goggins is still young..... It will catch up him.....just wait and see when he's 50 or 60. Do you know any NFL greats who are living comfortable in old age? Many are racked with arthtritis and regret their hardcore playing years. You reap what you sow.
Oh I remember being told in the army, best soldiers are the gray ones (invisible, not to smart, not to stupid, don't volunteer, don't screw up), pointing to one person, like him, you don't even know he is there. I was at the spot thinking NOPE, best soldiers are smart, over deliver, positive, good friends first and foremost.
