    Interesting, if I didn't just spend a bunch to get boba u4ts to harvest their stems to swap into extra kiwis I got I probably would have gone for these.
    I can confirm any stem that is longer like a holy panda stem will get rid of gmk interference on North facing switches. That's why I got boba to harvest stems. Kiwis look too nice not to use but with the boba stem it feels amazing and works on any board with any keycap

      yeah i tend to stay away from frankenswitches just because of the price and the tedious work to make them. But good to know that bobas have longer stems as well. I really do want to try them out in the future!

      @@BrianStormy same with the glorious pandas and I think any halo stem but might be wrong about that. Also found that smaller stems don't work well in housings that had long stems. Not all but most I've tried so it's a waste for sure to do Frankenstein switches.
      I got a bunch of free zealios and kiwis due to lost mail which then showed up months later randomly. So wanted to try something with them since I really liked them but wanted gmk keycaps

    I got some Salmons and tried lubing with Krytox 205g0 which I regretted as It reduced the snappy, responsive, liveliness of these switches that I love so much. Does the GS1 change the feel at all or just the sound?

    • @AnbuReckz
      @AnbuReckz ปีที่แล้ว

      205g0 is too thick for a tactile. The GS1 way lighter, only lube the rails and bottom housings don't lube the legs if you want keep the tactility

    What a great video, awesome work!. I got a question, how are they compared to the penguin ones being both tactiles? Thanks!

    • @BrianStormy
      @BrianStormy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey thanks for watching. As I touched upon in the video, penguins feel more rounded to me while salmons feel more snappy. Both bumps are good, so I think it comes down to preference on which kind of bump you like more!

      u4t's are definitely more tactile but pandas take it on sound. It just sounds way more clean than a lot of other switches out there. There's few other switches out there with that damn addictive bottom out sound. The u4t's are obviously great for a deeper thocky sound though.

    • @BrianStormy
      @BrianStormy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah there were quite a few switches that had excess plastic hanging or peeling. Not that it matters when using but quality wise it was a yikes

    i dont understand why do they make opaque switches and non shine thru keycaps and some how both these things sound amazing , i mean if i were to buy a keyboard that costs 100$ or more i gotta have the rgb too whohates rgb i meam i dont like alot of rgb but shine in keyboards i like it man if i spend this much i need rgb too i like these switches and every thing that sounds very nice is anti rgb man why?/?

      A lot of high end custom keyboard users tend to dislike rgb but I feel ya haha
