For those of you who weren't around to appreciate Beast Wars back in the 90's, seeing Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal in the same scene is absolutely mind-blowing and means everything to us.
Yesssss I remember being ready to watch this every week and not sure if he will be in this one but Beast Wars is what made me become a high star scream fan.
I loved watching the transformers as a kid but unfortunately i never got into beast wars. Wish I had though now so I know more about them as I'm going to see it next week. As bad as some thought tge bay movies were good, I still loved them especially the 1st one. First time I got goose bumps watching it at the theater when prime 1st spoke.
I saw the film last night. It was a great time for me. Optimus and Noah felt very different as people yet felt so connected at the same way. The movie was actually emotional with some of the scenes in here. I give this movie a 8/10 mostly because some a of the story feels rushed and some characters don’t get a lot of character. However Scourge is a menace to society in this film!
Disappointed the Primals (aside from airrazer) had little to do aside from move the plot along Cheetah and rhino barely did anything. Might as well not be there

After Transformers: The Last Knight, it is refreshing to see blockbusters that have fun with their premise instead of using it as a dower studio checklist. Additionally, Transformers Prime has an underrated direct-to-video animated film that is an epilogue to that excellent series.
I really loved this movie. It was sooo sooo soo good to me. Mirage was great, I wish there was more Arcee and more Beasts. But the action was sooo good and it was cute and fun!
This was my most anticipated 3C video of 2023, and that is no understatement. Ive been eagerly waiting for this movie, following up on every little bit of news for the last 4 ½ years. Its all come down to this! Transformers is my childhood and theres no movies i enjoy more. Cannot wait to see this in 3D IMAX

I haven't seen the film but your criticism with the style of the film compared to Bay is pretty valid as I notice a lot of the scenes of the Transformers in trailers and tv spot sometimes felt weightless. Almost a bit Pacific Rim Uprising weightless. But hey it's the first film of the trilogy, considering Bay is part of filming process, I hope they let him be in charge of the cinematography. Although, still can't wait for the film.
I haven’t seen the movie yet but I think what’s missing is Megatron he is a critical part of the Story overall and being that this is a Reboot his origin might be different in the second one but from what I heard here I am now exited to see where they go next after this and if we will see Megatron in this new trilogy
I hope that for this new series Megatron is gonna be a big threat not a villain that just is there. The only time when he felt like a real threat was the first transformers.
I acknowledge Bumblebee has the best story but this is my favorite one because we actually get the robots front and center having conversations. Even when the humans are involved the robots are right there with them. I think there are only 3 sequences where the 2 human characters are by themselves talking and even then it cuts back to the transformers. It's not perfect but it damn near could have been with a few tweaks, add ons, and cuts. I'm happy with what we've gotten though.
It may be formulaic, but this time around all of those formulaic elements were established parts of the transformers canon. That’s what makes this instantly better as a transformers movie.
Now I haven't seen the movie yet but from what I'm hearing about Mirage, it seems like they should not have changed his personality from what it's been in the past. It sounds as if Mirage has more of a Hot Rod personality, and it could've been a good way to introduce a good Hot Rod for once. Even the design of Mirage himself looks very similar to Hot Rod
I had been on deployment when the first TF movie came out so I was out of the loop with that one. I went to see it in Dubai and was blown away when I heard the original transformation sound at the beginning and then lost it when I heard Peter Cullen's voice. It was so much fun and so cool to see. I will always love that first movie.
Bro, i just came out of the movie, and i loved it, although it was really sad... i grew up with the transformers movies, and i saw dark of the moon in a packed theatre, i went to see Rise of the beasts in an almost empty theatre on opening day, and when i saw spiderverse it was packed out the door, its sad that transformers are starting to get good again and people arent that interested
Sorry Mirage was great as my audience crowd loved him. He sold it as he is Noah (Spike) and Mirage (Bumblebee) from G1. It worked and this is slight picking of the same because they were a lot of difference and heart in this story.
The Mirage Noah suit resembled the super suits from GI Joe. The ones Tatum and Wayne’s wore. There is a good chance John Cena became a GI Joe after the Bumble Bee movie. And don’t forget the Rock was also a GI Joe. They could bring those characters into this. If they do a time jump they can any of those actors back.
The optimus prime in this movie felt a lot different but remained as brutal and fierce as bayverse's optimus prime. I do like how they took Optimus Prime's mentality realistically as a leader of a faction that's about to lose and carries the burden of being the "legendary" leader that he is. However, is it just me or is he a lot weaker and slower now compared to when he was at cybertron fighting to escape the decepticons at the bumblebee movie? Either way, I'd give it a 7/10 because it felt rushed and there was even a weird plot hole. (SPOILERS) When Optimus got tackled by Scourge and they fell down the hill, they had a moment of exchanging threats from like 50 meters away. In that case, when Noah was plotting to destroy the key with his gf, Optimus prime should've heard him but didn't say anything? Yes, a part of me also wanted to believe that it was intentional but that would've been a weird approach and quite impractical. "Oh he heard him he just didn't want to say something." If he did, the camera would've panned to his face looking sad that Noah questioned Prime's leadership to let the audience know that he picked it up. Scourge also got weaker as the movie went on-- weird. I can't wait to see Megatron!
I definitely agree on you with the 50 meters away I was like wtf how can they hear each other and I agree that Optimus is definitely way slower, maybe gravity but I don’t think that’s the case, he seems nerfed. In bumblebee he was actually pretty fast and agile doing spins and flips.
I like that they bought in the Maximals. It's like having a change of pace with the transformers. Also After seeing something like the movie A-X-L with a robotic Dog become friends with a human. I kinda knew that idea would come to the transformers franchise but, they split it into two parts 1. Having wildlife creatures as huge robots. 2. Human adapting to a robot with advanced technology.
Admittedly I’m not really a Transformers fan enough to say I’m glad we’re getting good Transformers movies nor say I have watched it. I could say I’m glad we’re getting good signs saying this movie is good for fans of the franchise. So I’m glad other Transformers fans are eating good.
Just watched this movie and absolutely loved it. Mirage was probably my favourite character out of them all, I found him to be very funny and entertaining. I was actually sad when I thought the character was going to die. Loved all the references to the 90s and even references to G1. The tie in to G.I. Joe was definitely a nice callback to the marvel comics. This might mean that the military we see work with the transformers will be the joes. Could this perhaps be Hasbros attempt to relaunch the joes into live action if so I’m all for it. My only complaints with the movie were we needed more scenes of the maximals and the Terrorcons. I’d have loved Unicron to have saved scourge somehow at the last minute so we could see him again. PS this movie made me actually love the maximals. I was never a fan of Beast wars but damn the maximals look so good in live action. I’m definitely gonna get the figures. Xx
By far one of the best transformers movies. They didn’t even really hint at a romance with the humans. More of a “we both don’t wanna die. Let’s be cool and survive. Okay we made it. Now we’re friends”. The relationship with Mirage and Noah to me wasn’t that close. Noah never fully trusted or cared for him until the end. Mirage was way more willing to trust and be open. Lastly I loved that they made Bumblebee the hard ass warrior he always was. The gray background was great in my opinion. It really enforced the feeling of doom and gloom and danger. I don’t want beauty and amazing backdrops during a massive battle. Overall it’s a good movie. I am hoping they really do Megatron properly once they get that point of the rebooted franchise.
The only two scenes that I really laugh so hard and cheered is when bumblebee shows up and they're playing LL Cool. J mom's going to knock you out and then says the famous rowdy Piper I'm here. The chew bubble gum and kick ass. And the other scene that got me hyped is when the kids saw the business card and what name was on it GI. Joe
After watching Transformers Rise Of The Beasts at an early release from where I live, I wanna talk about one thing that I'm pretty sure a lot of people aren't talking about: if the title is written as *Rise Of The Beasts,* then I'm thinking that this movie should focus on the Maximals and the Predacons instead of Unicron, don't get me wrong, I was excited for Unicron coming because I've been dying to see him on the big screen! But at the same time, I wished the writers would've focused more on the Maximals and the Predacons background, like how long they lived on Earth and that they're the descendants of the Autobots and Deceptions. So yeah, a pretty solid, entertaining Transformers movie, is it perfect? No, but is it better than the previous Transformers movies? Yeah! I do have my ranking on the Transformers films. Transformers movies ranked 1. Bumblebee 2. Transformers Dark Of The Moon 3. Transformers 2007 4. Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen 5. Transformers The Last Knight 6. I agree with your suspense rating regarding "the robot that might not be coming back", but they ruined that in the trailers already, that was a stupid plot point to me.
This was my favorite Transformer's movie out of all 6 . Peter Cullen will always be Optimus Prime and I loved seeing Mirage he was actually one of my favorites growing up as a kid.. My older brother and I grow up with the 80's transformer's and all the generations , we've seen the OG Cartoon movie with HotRod turning into Rodiums Prime, RC was in the second Gen. They brought some of the cartoon's into live action; Like when Noah was stealing Mirage? That was a G1 Cartoon called "Make Tracks"... Where the cartoon Raual was stealing Autobot Tracks for Money. Then the EXO Suit that Noah wore was in the Cartoon Movie G1 Where Spike was on Moon Base One with Bumble Bee and when Uniacron was eating Cybertron's moons

Yes, you'll definitely be able to enjoy this film, even if you only have seen the 1st & 2nd movies and Bumblebee. If we're talking about where this movie fits in the timeline, it's only Bumblebee, then this movie. Michael Bay's movies are in their own universe.
This was a very solid review. Just saw it last night and a Transformers fan i loved it, the criticisms you the film are fair and i agree about the generic plot, we've seen this before. I'm just happy they actually gave Prime proper dialog again, i couldnt stand his character in the last 2 Bay films.
Loved the don’t call it a comeback scene. I agree it felt like Transformers 1 repackaged with certain parts of the first movie swapped. I didn’t enjoy it because I wanted to watch in IMAX 3D. I saw it in 3D instead. Will definitely watch it in IMAX 3D over the weekend.
Glad you're more decent with the reviews of this movie than some of the other podcasters I've watched. Yeah, Paramount needs to get more original with the plot of certain films in the near future.
Saw it today with my son and loved it!! It felt like i was watching the old animated series with my son when he was younger. And yeah, it had a bitchin soundtrack! But it does feel like transformers timeline has gone in ways of xmen. 2000s is the first encounter, no it was the 80s, no it was back during the moon landing, no they've been here since the days of merlin.....
Mirage was the stand-out character for me. I really liked how they gave another Autobot a kind personality who genuinely cares for humans like Bumblebee does. He was a breath of fresh air, acting like a cool big brother.
I think the movie was 9/10. I also feel your kind of biased for the old movies. But you gotta remember it’s a transformers movie. Not gonna be perfect. It was a pretty fun and cool movie in my opinion. Wish there was just a little bit more of Arcee and the Rhino, and the Cheetah. But eh, what are you gonna do. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for casual fans personally. I feel the only thing missing was more character introductions.
I hope the next movies are masterpieces and really put the franchise in the spot light because as a transformers fan I’d live to see it blow up in popularity
i like how people are still arguing if this movie is a reboot after seeing this movie.. i still didnt see anything that signified a reboot, and its fine, it looks like paramount is continuing the franchise in a new direction like paramount said. reguardless of who said reboot, its not a reboot in terms of a clean slate but as in storytelling which i think we can all agree on. unless they say theyre rebooting the timeline then its obviously a reboot. we all get what we want so i dont understand why people still argue over it. like WHO CARES just enjoy it yall, my theatre was full of G1 fans and fans of the movies that i grew up with, and they ALL loved it. thats what i like to see in fanbases, community. i hate to break it to both sides but all the flaws that G1 fans had with bayberse literally happened in bumblebee and ROTB and bith of those movies are really good, the CGI sometimes was lacking but overall 80% but i love all of the movies, theyre all good and micheal bay produced it! i think its time we stop this dumb fight and just enjoy the movies.
I think if they keep with spinoffs but sequls and make more sequls to rise of the beasts then i think the next movie should be based on tge comic transformers the war within. Then the one after that should be the matrix quest. And then they do a crossover movie based on the comic of gi joe and transformers. After observing the success of Coming 2 America, Ghostbusters 3: Afterlife, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Top Gun 2: Maverick, and A Christmas Story Christmas I would have made an effort to persuade Shia LaBeouf to return.

Didn't check my phone once Entertaining, fast paced, funny, explosive, relatable and great story and effects. + my favourite part of the Transformers franchise: the Maximals! For the first time ever in live action and together on screen wìth the Transformers is absolutely 🤯 I loved Beast Wars, to this day it is one of my all time favourite childhood shows. I think about it regularly. Like reminiscing an old friend

Maximals hid in jungle environments meaning there aren’t vivid colors and more dull greens and grays. You then do not take into account that the movie is taking place in 1994 so making it look abit dull just gives it a older looking vibe again based on the time frame it is taking place.
I saw it on Saturday. I enjoyed the film. It just felt inconsistent with what has been established in previous films . Then, charcter development was shotty . We know Bee and Optimus, yet Scurge isn't explained very well . Then plot armor everywhere. While it's a fun film . The story is all over the place
I thought this movie was cool, but Dark of The Moon will always be my favorite, there is just something about being a six-year-old kid and experiencing the Transformers in the theaters for the first time, that will always play a major factor in this movie
No matter how good or how bad the Transformers movies may be, Peter Cullen will always be amazing as Optimus Prime.

I watched the movie yesterday. It was too short and soulless but Mirage was the best part of the movie.
I absolutely LOVED IT!!! Beast Wars was MY SHOW in my youth. The only downside is that Airazor never transformed into her robot mode.

Watched it last night and I loved every second of that movie! Wished the maximals would’ve talked a little more but I’m happy with this movie.
I'm a simple man I see transformers and I watch
The Mirage Noah suit resembled the super suits from GI Joe. The ones Tatum and Wayne’s wore. There is a good chance John Cena became a GI Joe after the Bumble Bee movie. And don’t forget the Rock was also a GI Joe. They could bring those characters into this. If they do a time jump they can any of those actors back.
The optimus prime in this movie felt a lot different but remained as brutal and fierce as bayverse's optimus prime. I do like how they took Optimus Prime's mentality realistically as a leader of a faction that's about to lose and carries the burden of being the "legendary" leader that he is. However, is it just me or is he a lot weaker and slower now compared to when he was at cybertron fighting to escape the decepticons at the bumblebee movie? Either way, I'd give it a 7/10 because it felt rushed and there was even a weird plot hole. (SPOILERS) When Optimus got tackled by Scourge and they fell down the hill, they had a moment of exchanging threats from like 50 meters away. In that case, when Noah was plotting to destroy the key with his gf, Optimus prime should've heard him but didn't say anything?
Yes, a part of me also wanted to believe that it was intentional but that would've been a weird approach and quite impractical. "Oh he heard him he just didn't want to say something." If he did, the camera would've panned to his face looking sad that Noah questioned Prime's leadership to let the audience know that he picked it up. Scourge also got weaker as the movie went on-- weird. I can't wait to see Megatron!
I definitely agree on you with the 50 meters away I was like wtf how can they hear each other and I agree that Optimus is definitely way slower, maybe gravity but I don’t think that’s the case, he seems nerfed. In bumblebee he was actually pretty fast and agile doing spins and flips.

Noah and Mirage have more of a Raul and Tracks relationship from G1 than Bumblebee and Sam.

I like that they bought in the Maximals. It's like having a change of pace with the transformers.
Also After seeing something like the movie A-X-L with a robotic Dog become friends with a human. I kinda knew that idea would come to the transformers franchise but, they split it into two parts
1. Having wildlife creatures as huge robots.
2. Human adapting to a robot with advanced technology.
Admittedly I’m not really a Transformers fan enough to say I’m glad we’re getting good Transformers movies nor say I have watched it. I could say I’m glad we’re getting good signs saying this movie is good for fans of the franchise. So I’m glad other Transformers fans are eating good.
Just watched this movie and absolutely loved it. Mirage was probably my favourite character out of them all, I found him to be very funny and entertaining. I was actually sad when I thought the character was going to die.
Loved all the references to the 90s and even references to G1. The tie in to G.I. Joe was definitely a nice callback to the marvel comics. This might mean that the military we see work with the transformers will be the joes.
Could this perhaps be Hasbros attempt to relaunch the joes into live action if so I’m all for it.
My only complaints with the movie were we needed more scenes of the maximals and the Terrorcons. I’d have loved Unicron to have saved scourge somehow at the last minute so we could see him again.
PS this movie made me actually love the maximals. I was never a fan of Beast wars but damn the maximals look so good in live action. I’m definitely gonna get the figures. Xx
By far one of the best transformers movies. They didn’t even really hint at a romance with the humans. More of a “we both don’t wanna die. Let’s be cool and survive. Okay we made it. Now we’re friends”.
The relationship with Mirage and Noah to me wasn’t that close. Noah never fully trusted or cared for him until the end. Mirage was way more willing to trust and be open.
Lastly I loved that they made Bumblebee the hard ass warrior he always was.
The gray background was great in my opinion. It really enforced the feeling of doom and gloom and danger. I don’t want beauty and amazing backdrops during a massive battle.
Overall it’s a good movie. I am hoping they really do Megatron properly once they get that point of the rebooted franchise.
The only two scenes that I really laugh so hard and cheered is when bumblebee shows up and they're playing LL Cool. J mom's going to knock you out and then says the famous rowdy Piper I'm here. The chew bubble gum and kick ass. And the other scene that got me hyped is when the kids saw the business card and what name was on it GI. Joe

After watching Transformers Rise Of The Beasts at an early release from where I live, I wanna talk about one thing that I'm pretty sure a lot of people aren't talking about: if the title is written as *Rise Of The Beasts,* then I'm thinking that this movie should focus on the Maximals and the Predacons instead of Unicron, don't get me wrong, I was excited for Unicron coming because I've been dying to see him on the big screen! But at the same time, I wished the writers would've focused more on the Maximals and the Predacons background, like how long they lived on Earth and that they're the descendants of the Autobots and Deceptions. So yeah, a pretty solid, entertaining Transformers movie, is it perfect? No, but is it better than the previous Transformers movies? Yeah! I do have my ranking on the Transformers films.

I agree with your suspense rating regarding "the robot that might not be coming back", but they ruined that in the trailers already, that was a stupid plot point to me.
The beginning was really really good made me feel like I watching transformers prime again. But I think it got progressively less good as it went.
This was my favorite Transformer's movie out of all 6 . Peter Cullen will always be Optimus Prime and I loved seeing Mirage he was actually one of my favorites growing up as a kid.. My older brother and I grow up with the 80's transformer's and all the generations , we've seen the OG Cartoon movie with HotRod turning into Rodiums Prime, RC was in the second Gen. They brought some of the cartoon's into live action; Like when Noah was stealing Mirage? That was a G1 Cartoon called "Make Tracks"... Where the cartoon Raual was stealing Autobot Tracks for Money. Then the EXO Suit that Noah wore was in the Cartoon Movie G1 Where Spike was on Moon Base One with Bumble Bee and when Uniacron was eating Cybertron's moons

Yes, you'll definitely be able to enjoy this film, even if you only have seen the 1st & 2nd movies and Bumblebee. If we're talking about where this movie fits in the timeline, it's only Bumblebee, then this movie. Michael Bay's movies are in their own universe.
Bro definitely check out DOTM if you dont do anything else. This movie is #3 best, with #1 and #2 being DOTM and TF 2007
This was a very solid review. Just saw it last night and a Transformers fan i loved it, the criticisms you the film are fair and i agree about the generic plot, we've seen this before. I'm just happy they actually gave Prime proper dialog again, i couldnt stand his character in the last 2 Bay films.

Loved the don’t call it a comeback scene. I agree it felt like Transformers 1 repackaged with certain parts of the first movie swapped. I didn’t enjoy it because I wanted to watch in IMAX 3D. I saw it in 3D instead. Will definitely watch it in IMAX 3D over the weekend.

Saw it last night and I loved it. I loved Mirage. It’s my favorite Transformers movie of all time
Saw it today with my son and loved it!! It felt like i was watching the old animated series with my son when he was younger. And yeah, it had a bitchin soundtrack!
But it does feel like transformers timeline has gone in ways of xmen. 2000s is the first encounter, no it was the 80s, no it was back during the moon landing, no they've been here since the days of merlin.....
Mirage was the stand-out character for me. I really liked how they gave another Autobot a kind personality who genuinely cares for humans like Bumblebee does. He was a breath of fresh air, acting like a cool big brother.
Disappointed the Primals (aside from airrazer) had little to do aside from move the plot along

I think the movie was 9/10. I also feel your kind of biased for the old movies. But you gotta remember it’s a transformers movie. Not gonna be perfect. It was a pretty fun and cool movie in my opinion. Wish there was just a little bit more of Arcee and the Rhino, and the Cheetah. But eh, what are you gonna do. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for casual fans personally. I feel the only thing missing was more character introductions.

i like how people are still arguing if this movie is a reboot after seeing this movie.. i still didnt see anything that signified a reboot, and its fine, it looks like paramount is continuing the franchise in a new direction like paramount said. reguardless of who said reboot, its not a reboot in terms of a clean slate but as in storytelling which i think we can all agree on. unless they say theyre rebooting the timeline then its obviously a reboot. we all get what we want so i dont understand why people still argue over it. like WHO CARES just enjoy it yall, my theatre was full of G1 fans and fans of the movies that i grew up with, and they ALL loved it. thats what i like to see in fanbases, community. i hate to break it to both sides but all the flaws that G1 fans had with bayberse literally happened in bumblebee and ROTB and bith of those movies are really good, the CGI sometimes was lacking but overall 80% but i love all of the movies, theyre all good and micheal bay produced it! i think its time we stop this dumb fight and just enjoy the movies.
I think if they keep with spinoffs but sequls and make more sequls to rise of the beasts then i think the next movie should be based on tge comic transformers the war within. Maximals hid in jungle environments meaning there aren’t vivid colors and more dull greens and grays. You then do not take into account that the movie is taking place in 1994 so making it look abit dull just gives it a older looking vibe again based on the time frame it is taking place.

I saw it on Saturday. I enjoyed the film. It just felt inconsistent with what has been established in previous films . Then, charcter development was shotty . We know Bee and Optimus, yet Scurge isn't explained very well . Then plot armor everywhere. While it's a fun film . The story is all over the place

I thought this movie was cool, but Dark of The Moon will always be my favorite, there is just something about being a six-year-old kid and experiencing the Transformers in the theaters for the first time, that will always play a major factor in this movie
