Japanese imperialism in WW2 and the subsequent proxy war between the US and USSR, where in retaliation the US savagely murdered their people and then cut them off from world financial markets and hardly reported on it to the american people. i totally agree.

Even if a bank has shit security, there's something called having employees in an actual building, which usually means that even the most crappy national bank will be able to freeze such transactions. In crypto, it's all about having access to an account with the power to do so. In fact, North Koreans ended up getting a 8% of what they planned to steal from the Bangladesh Bank because most transactions were cancelled.
Meanwhile, the people behind Axie Infinity literally noticed they were stolen... days later.

@@x7ameedo700 Its clean money after they launder it trough tornado cash (or similar laundering services) and crypto is global currency, a currency that NK doesn't have that much. They can spend it on anything internationally.
Also NK has some interesting foreing goods importing methods, they used private shipyard in russia to deliver goods from to NK and they can use some chinese company to get goods into China and from China to NK.
