    got a 50bu8500 in black friday deal, saved over £200 on it and set it up with your settings, except i turned the sharpness to high as it doesn't over emphasize edge detail like other sets do (and my eyes are crap too so it's brings out the detail i'd otherwise not see), and it looks absolutely fantastic

      Great deal and glad you are happy with the picture quality. Enjoy!

    Do you personally not recommend dynamic video mode? I like it because the blues are very muted in movie and filmmaker which is why I don't use it.

    Hi Darko. Can i ask about the picture settings of the BU8000 as i purchased one a few months ago, so are the picture settings in the description still available for purchase as of today (July 12th, 2024)? Thank you.

    HI, good review! Subbed. I got one of these tvs last night. I refused three times to pay for the 100 euro calibration fee and finally MediaMarkt just gave it to me for free (high pressure sales tactics- lol). Purchase price was 849 eu. Anyway, at first I was a little put of by some noise in the blacks, but hard to know if the signal quality is down from our spotty internet or some compression. Then I started comparing the different picture modes and found that dynamic mode looked better, but my favourite was filmmaker mode. After watching your video I will go into the advanced menu and check a few other settings that you recommended - but will not go down to the most granular settings. One gets used to whatever you watch. So. I guess I wam wondering if I should return it and cough up a bit more money for a Qled. Any comments or recommendations?

    Hello, I just bought the bu8072. I have the brightness max 50 and when I switch from ps5 to smart hub and vice versa, the brightness dims but the brightness setting is still max 50. When I put it at 49 and again to max 50, the brightness comes back to normal. What’s happening?

    Just got a 65 inch in this model. Can't help but feel a little disappointed on first impressions. Finding a lot of images are pixilated / colours not blending, probably HD footage scaling up. I had a HD 3d Samsung for 9 years and I loved it.. this was my "upgrade". Thanks for sharing this video I've been scrabbling around with pucture settings all night

    My Samsung TV in the clarity options has everything but has an added blur reduction I don't know what to do with this

    • @TVguyDarko
      @TVguyDarko  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have Blur reduction use it - set it to max 10/10 for the highest no of details in motion. Basically this tells you that your TV has 120 or 144 max refresh rate.

    we have a $37 price difference between BU8000 and BU8500 (75``). Which one is better to take? I don't want to overpay for the numbers in the title, but if there is a good and important difference for me, I would take it more expensive.

    • @TVguyDarko
      @TVguyDarko  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main difference could be in the type of panel - seems like BU8500 series could be either ADSor VA which greatly influences picture quality. ADS (like IPS) had wider viewing angle than VA, but lower contrast which is especially visible in dark room. I see in this comparison that for BU8000 only VA panels are listed, so I would recommend you stay with this model.

      This is something that varies from unit to unit on LED LCD TVs. It depends on how lucky you are this effect that be barely, slighly or clearly visible.

    Just to put my two cents in here. Just buy an OLED or a QLED instead. This is not worth the hassle or the aggravation of having to adjust this damn Samsung Crystal TV. It's a reason why it is half the price of a LED Tv! It's CHEAP for a reason. Save yourselves the headaches.
