I think it is a good gun for the price too, I have not had my heat shield loosen up but I have not shat that much through it. The gun does feel solid. Thanks for leaving a comment I love hearing about peoples experiences.
Was that a light primer strike on the buckshot rounds . Last round pulled trigger , no bang , but you ejected a round. Just a bad round , break in period. Not happy about no mention.
Ah yes I had the same problem, there is a plug in the tube that limits you to 2 rounds for duck hunting. Unscrew the cap on the end of the tube where the sling mount is and there is a plastic disk with a plastic rod, take that out and you can put 5 rounds in. Don't feel bad I did the same thing 😁
I’m very confused on the difference of the choke tubes and what to use for certain ammo like slugs and buckshot and birdshot can you explain and help me out a bit ?
for slugs and you want to use the cylinder or improved cylinder, for buck shot you can go up to modified choke as well as cylinder and improved cylinder. For bird shot you can use any choke, the full choke or turkey choke is better for bird shot because it will keep the pellets together over a longer distance. Hope this helps
@ so I can use the modified black 1/2 choke it comes with for slugs ? As well for buckshot like you use in the video ? And for birdshot I can issue basically anything ? Sorry I’m very novice to shotguns and don’t want ruin my barrel I just purchased the Mariner about a month ago and still very confused on how to distinguish the chokes
@@guillermoguillen441 The chokes have notches in them and the more notches the more choke if I remember right. The muzzle break I think is a improved cylinder, it worked fine for me when I shot slugs out of it.
I'm a Citadel college sports fan would love one of these to take on my boat sometimes. Worried that it will have weird Turkish problems and the Mariner finish is cheap and won't hold up in brackish water. Considering I could get 3 of these for the price of one Mossberg Mariner I might still try it out.
Nice looking shotgun. Keep an eye on the locking lug on top of the bolt for wear. I had a Citadel semi auto that had an out of battery discharge putting metal in my hand after almost 300 rounds. I sent it back to Legacy Sports. They sent me a new shotgun with a different bolt and locking lug. I say this because it looks like you have the same bolt and locking lug that failed on me. You shouldn't be able to see that much of the locking lug.
@ hey I was wondering if you could maybe post a tutorial on how you swapped out the choke to accept the brake that came with the gun. And also which choke did you use? I’m so excited for this to come in. I currently have a keltec ks7 bullpup and it’s cool but this citadel will be my first “traditional” pump shotgun.
@@louie111887 The brake is part of of the modified choke so all you do to install it is remove the choke in the gun and screw in the choke/muzzle break. When you get it you will see how easy it is to change.
Man i got ripped off! I saw this at a gun show for 360 and thought it was a good deal but i guess it wasnt... i always do a little research and the one time i dont i got owned....
Great review! Thank you for posting. I just ordered one. The price was $259. That’s a lot of gun for that price.
Got this gun in November its a really good gun for the price. The heat shield tends to get lose after shooting

There was no primer strike on the round so I am not sure why, maybe I didn't have it fully forward not sure.
How do I put more than two rounds in the magazine tube

@ thank u so much
@ Any time, enjoy your new shotgun 😁
How would you deserve the kickback on it?
It has a stout kick most 12 gauge shotguns but the pad is pretty good at absorbing it
Ordered me one this morning. Like you I love the wood.
Nice, I would be curious if you like it and if you get all the stuff with it that I did.
Ordered mine last Friday so did it come with the goodies😂
@@iiiamchuckb Mine came with all kinds of goodies, I got a lot for the money

I just picked mine up but I do not understand how to attach the muzzle breaker?
you have to take the choke out of the gun and it replaces the choke, you just screw it in to the end of the barrel
I bought one can I shoot slugs through the brake? I can't find it in manual
@@slcparis2 I have, it's a modified choke so you can use slugs.
Videos was helpful keep being awesome
Thank you, I am glad it was helpful makes me feel good when people tell me so thank you again 😁

I was wondering where th e fudge johnnbyboomstik went - see ya on your kids channel
@greasyweezel9540 Yeah TH-cam keeps deleting my channels and I keep making new ones lol.
Thanks for the review, quick question, do you think it could run 1.75” shells?
I have not tried them in the gun but I think they would work, I should pick up some of the 1.75" and try them.
Benelli Mobile chokes pattern.
I have Tokarevs basically same gun and use rifled tubes for slugs.
Yep they are, I have the Tokarev TX3 and it is basically the same gun.
Ghost ring? Peep sight?
This one has a v notch, I would prefer the ghost ring. but it does have a pic rail to mount a red dot if you like.
I'm interested in one of these and cutting the stock down to a pistol grip. Has anyone seen this done with this gun before?
I don't know if anyone has done it or there might be a kit like the mossberg has for a pistol grip
Link for the sling
I just went on amazon and bought the cheapest paracord sling, they run from $10-$20.
Nice
Thanks, it is a nice shotgun 😁
I like it
For the money it is a nice deal 😁
Price as of 12/7/24: $149.00 plus tax
That's an awesome price, I wonder if it's a black friday / cyber monday special
Nice. I just ordered mine from turners outdoorsman for 259
Awesome, a lot of people seem to like the gun, I would love to hear if you like it when you get it.

It’s weird to me that their handguns are made in the Philippines but their shotguns are made in Turkey. Good looking gun though!
May just be where the facility happened to be or they got the factory cheap
Looks indentcal to my yildiz.
They might be made in the same factory, all the Turkish guns look the same on the inside.

to be fair depending on what state you live in depends a lot on the price of guns, some state add a tax on firearms and sales tax too.
