French resistance helped dramatically however on D Day if Rommel had supreme control all german forces wouldn't be heading to the beach head they all would have been there waiting as Rommel was right he knew about allied air power and knew that columns would be attacked going to the front so he wanted all armour and reserves at the beach head to push them back as the allies would not have been able to use air power in fear of hitting their own and Hitler's dreaded SS Panzer divisions would have been a serious threat if they were dug in waiting but another commander got the permission to organise reserves which he made into groups behind the lines Rommel was right cause when those reserves made their way to the front they were attacked by allied air force
At first for awhile American tanks didn't have radio between commander and other tanks german commanders had radio attached to them American commanders of tanks didn't
Germany had the best tec apart from British physicists Germany took Europe in 1 year it took the allies 6 years to get back we had better tanks we invented the jet fighter too I don't support fascism
German "tec" doesn't impress me. Not then, not now. A few too many people want to credit Germany with technology already under development elsewhere. For instance; German V1 Bombs used Pulse Jets, a crude form of a jet engine. Frank Whittle of England meanwhile, was developing the Turbojet engine still used today. Before the end of the War, that engine shows up in Germany... With regard to '"inventing the jet fighter", jet engines are thirsty so there was no reason for the Allies to "invent a jet fighter" first because its short range was strictly for defense, not offense and near the end of the War, only Germany was defense-only. The rest of us had a long way to fly first.
Fascinating. Thank you!
This is cool
I do believe that the egima machine was orginally a Dutch invention from the 1920’s not a German.
It is an Enigma to this day.
America is slow to act sometimes BUT when we do, it’s what we do, RISE TO THE OCCASION! 🇺🇸❤️💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
