Captain Allen Weseleskey, the Navy pilot who flew below the canopy and earned the Navy Cross, passed away on May 28th 2024. He spent 30 years in the Navy and earned several other medals for valor. His obit on the HDOliver funeral home website reads like an action/adventure story. A true warrior...R.I.P.

My Grandfather helped start the company that built these little hot-rods. And my Great Uncle showed the Navy how to jump them into rice paddies and blow the pants off of Charlie. It was based on the larger version of the Salty Dawg. The resin used is called Hetron, a self-extinguishing plastic. It would burn, but take away the heat source and it simply goes out.

Even now I look k really close to the faces of the soldiers looking for my dad as I did when I was a child. He was the radio man. The other side were driven by a belief in their way of life until the end. The innocent were done wrong.

The resolve of the Vietnamese people is unmatched and incredible. Generations of outsiders tryin to occupy your homeland has made the Vietnamese people a force to be reckoned with. The US dropped more bombs on North Vietnam then they did during the entire 2nd world war. All the North Vietnamese said was bring it on.

As my father said , quote the words of a certain senator after the war 'the Americans didn't go into Vietnam to win the war' i was just a kid but i still remember the look of total exasperation on his face,he frequently repeated it . Today i understand , it was just a other imperial adventure for the stars an stripes and the army gained great experience but most important the military contracters like Bell aircraft (imagine where it's shareprice went) made loads of money

What do you tell the South Vietnamese who lost their rights/assets/limbs/lives because someone else refused to fight?

Five to ten miles a day while walking or pushing their bikes (loaded with supplies.) Jeez, they're not geriatrics, I'm sure they could double that quite easy & still have some daylight or darkness left over.

All while denying his troops adequate food supply, uniforms, shoes, and making horribly long strolls in the snow… SMH…

🗣️ I believe this is one of the lessons President Biden warned Israel not to make it relate to Hamas. Again, if we don't learn from the past .... You know the rest.

not clickbait, nor misinformation, read the descriptions before you start watching. its all laid out as to what this video is about, you could have fast forwarded to what you wanted to see rather than whine that you had to wait to see your boats.

We lost that war because of micro-managing leaders in our country who wouldn't allow the military to fight that war as we could have.
