Some back fitting ?Forward testing would be interesting.
Just did a quick test on German futures 5 min chart and it gave about a 25% success rate with massive losses. The opposite would have worked wonders. Seems like an outside bar with a close against the trend is a good sign of a reversal, maybe, needs some investigation.
Also have you ever tested the inside bar breakout strategy?
Very good implement of Larry Wiliams trading strategies and ideas for trading. The rules is clear, but if you will make a .pdf can you put easy language code on it. For me it will be more valuable, despite I can programm it by myself if I want)

it would be good, if you could also mention the average loss, which will give a full picture...noted the average loss is much bigger

Hi Jarrod
From your drawing the outside bar you draw is a bearish bar. If it is, the next bar that follows at open is to sell not buy. Why would anyone want to buy following a long bearish bar.
Sometimes doing the opposite of what is logical is a way to gain an edge in the market. I am just providing the data showing how the market reacts! If it goes up consistently after a bearish bar, then I'm buying bearish bars.
@@TheTransparentTrader how many data did you see that price rises after a bearish bar. Doing opposite is definitely not good enough reason to get a better edge as it does not make logical sense. In fact theres no better edge. You need to ask why is there a bearish engulfing in the first place. Doing the opposite is absurd.Can you enter two live trades and see if what you say works?
Hi Jarrod, Thx for the videos. Could you please test this for me. Combination of Bollinger and Simple Moving Average of 6 where you buy or sell on the crossover of the centre line on the Bollinger- on both H4 and Daily. Looking back it seems to be pretty good but that's just for 12 months. Thank you , Micha'el B

I generally don't risk more than 1 - 2% of my account balance.
Hey Jarrod, so when you say day delay of 13, in that period that we’re in the trade do we also ignore any reverse signals? Let’s say I’m in a buy and on day 6 I receive an outside bar with the close above the high of the previous candle, do I exit my current trade or stay in since the 13 days aren’t over yet. Would appreciate if you could clear me up, Bryce
Ya know I'm probably not going to sit through this cause I'm afraid you're not applying stops. If you are that's a shame I'll miss it. Wish you'd say so in the title or description.

Which broker do you connect Multi Charts to? Do your strategies manage trades Ok if Multi Charts gets disconnected?
I use LMAX and Interactive Brokers. If Multicharts gets disconnected then I would have to manually re connect. However it is extremely reliable and doesn't disconnect.

Yea who cares if you win 85% of time if your biggest loss is bigger than biggest winner. No wonder the drawdown was so big. Makes no sense. R:R matters way more than WR. Not that WR doesn't matter just that it's not as important
I agree. Win rate is not everything! Some of my strategies which make the overall most money only have win rates around 55%.
Worst strategy ever.
