This is interesting. I've noticed just from my own experience doing discretionary trading, that if we're in a trend for several bars and all of the sudden a bar breaks the low (when long) or high (when short) of the prior bar or two, there's good odds that trend is probably over and starting to reverse.
Very enjoyable. If I'm understanding correctly, the system will allow for you to buy or sell potentially more than one lot? In other words, you might buy a lot, and then another buy might be triggered before you get a sell signal? And vice versa. I believe you mentioned that at one point.
So did you end up settling on first prof close exit with 12 day delay and for long trades, high of previous bar must be lower than the high 5 candles prior (so 6 candles from current day)?
Can we optimise in term of % the proximity of the extreme the day after the smash day relative to the smash day extreme? I think that could significantly improve results
Thank you for sharing. There would be more value, imo, if at the end, the summary of the best strategy/optimization is stated again. as the presenter went thru half a dozen variations, it's hard to keep track of what the most optimized trade is, per back tests, without having to re-watch the video
You cant go wrong with Larry Williams techniques . :)

Impressive results. Proving once again that trading methods need not be complicated.
Cheers for 2022!
I don't understand the day delay😕can you explain

No, with this test I am only long one position or short one position at a time.
Thanks for taking time to present the strategy. I’d be interested to know how it performs when trading it on the other 26 currency pairs.
I'm doing a video on it soon..
on the 13 candele was not asmash day setup?
Thanks for this. Just curious why you tested the lookback filter only from 5 to 30 days and ruled out a shorted lookback period i.e. 1 to 4?

This is worth testing. Thanks for the suggestion.

Good idea! Thanks for the suggestion.
Is there a smash day indicator on trading view? (I don't see one myself)
Larry william is in-built pinescript function, but i dont know if its using this strategy
Would I be right in thinking this would work on lower time frames with more frequent trade setups but lower win rate ?
It's worth testing to see. I wouldn't just assume it will work though. Some of the daily bar patterns don't work very well on intra day timeframes.
Good stuff
nice!
Thanks Cristian
