Made in abyss is literally a masterpiece , everything from music animation characters world building fights monsters and characters design are so perfect , truly deserve to be no.1 anime
Made in abys has been my favourite ever since it came out too, It's hard to explain, it's hard to reccomend sometimes, it's made my wallet lighter in pusuit of the manga, blu ray's and figure collecting, but I love it with all my heart. I can't wait for season 2 to be animated, mostly out of morbid curiosity on how they're going to handle it. Deep soul was a masterpiece and if they can do the same to the next arc I'll be fucking impressed, It's going to be way harder but if anyone can do it, its Kinema and Kevin.
Princess Tutu has been my favorite anime since I watched it and tbh I'm not sure if anything will ever top it. It hits hard enough if you like magical girl anime, it hits even harder if you're a writer or like analyzing fiction in a structural way, and hits WAY harder if you like ballet or classical music. I like all of those things, so Princess Tutu essentially came into my house and said "I live here now" and I said "thank you ma'am."
It just hit me that I haven't watched most of these shows though I keep intending to watch Clannad with my wife. But you know what else also hit me while washing dishes and listening in? I have been following your videos since 2015...time sure flies! And yet 6 years later I almost always try to catch your stuff before watching a new show still, because I love how you express your opinion, I love how you express your passion for anime as a medium, I love how you sometimes champion things that I would not even consider looking at. You bring an energy and focus to the fandom that is both ready for deep dive and discussion, as well as inviting for the newcomers. I’m the exact same way right now. I think I’ve been coming to this channel for about six or seven years since I first started watching anime and I also still need to get on with finishing Clannad and start After Story. I’ve been putting it off all this time due to the emotional rollercoaster people say it is and I still continue to try and catch up with all the videos this great channel has put out. I really need to get on with it soooon. Plus you are right. This channel is a champion of truly expressing the beauty of so many of these amazing stories and deserves to continue going for a long time to come.
Land of the Lustrous and Made in Abyss are my favourite works of fiction just ever. I am just forever in love with that kind of bizarre and melancholy type of world. If I went into detail about the narrative journey of both of these works we'd be here all day, and I'm sure everything I love about them has been said a thousand times by a thousand people. They're just.... so good, and they make me feel a way no other stories have ever been able to

I absolutely agree with the Nana recommendation! The tall, very thin characters kind of weirded me out at first, but the story and characters really sucked me in. If you want a mature romance anime that doesn't sugarcoat life, Nana is the show for you. If I could purchase a physically copy to add to my collection, without having to sacrifice limbs, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
2 seconds in: *March comes in like a lion* After the twist is revealed: *Mawaru Penguindrum* Pretty sure Penguindrum is my second favorite show of all time, and I'm so glad I got to it with my VRV subscription before Hidive got dropped. I've never seen a more thematically dense show. If you haven't seen it before, you're doing yourself a disservice by not watching it.
I fell off after EP14. I think it's just pretending to be deep when it's instead a huge mess. Maybe I'm wrong tho. It reminded me of the tail end of Flip Flappers where it went from one of the best animations of its era to weird weird more weird too weird weird.

@@hitandruncommentor Dude Parasyte was freaking awesome. It was even cooler watching it while it came out. I watched it back in 2018 when I was starting to get into a wider range of anime. I'd only seen it when I'd seen about 30 anime. Now I've probably seen like 90+ so what made it so cool when I saw it the first time may have less impact now that I'm more exposed to anime.
Lots of great choices but I feel Kino's Journey for the #11 choice is the standout for me. I've always been such a big fan of that story from the atmosphere and the unique tones, the OST, and just, the classic feel. It's such a gem of a show, I'm glad it's taken such a high list! I should also mention, if you've enjoyed Clannad for After Story, I highly recommend you trying out Little Busters for its equivalent season, Refrain. It's made by Jun Maeda/Key as well, and although it's not adapted by KyotoAnimation, it's still a sturdy adaptation of a story that really does something unique with its storytelling that most visual novels don't have. It's my favorite anime of all time that even surpassed Clannad itself, so it might tickle your fancy!
A fun way I restrict my favorites is by listing them by first letter in the title. With only one from each letter, it both allows lesser praised shows some time to shine but also invites heavy contemplation when half your favorites somehow share the same letter.

Mysterious Girlfriend X! It has been ages ago I read the manga, almost forgot about it until you brought it up. It really is a theme that sure is hell kinky. For Moribito, I am still hoping one day we get a second season... Not sure would the author of the novel allow. It has such a good story and MC, rarely do main character uses spear, and it is one of my favourite weapon. I still stand-by Deen FSN has its place. It is the series that pull me into Fate world, and it is the one that puts Saber as the main character.
I'm always happy to see Princess Tutu be acknowledged. I'm not sure I could pick a favourite anime but Princess Tutu would definitely be a strong contender for me.

Yeah, loved it myself, and glad to see it get some love. I wish they would do more of it. The anime is only book 1? of a 8 book series, if I remember right. There is a live action show where they went farther, but I've yet to look it up, somday.

Gintama is my favorite anime of all time. It really affected how I view life and how I live my own, it taught me a lot about what life is really about. There were a lot of things in the show that I resonated with personally and despite all the sadness and gloom, life is still worth living
Came for Clannad: After Story. Was not disappointed. Top 3, too?!! But was it only because Clannad: After Story is available on HiDive? Doesn't matter. The fact it was favorite for a time and only trumped by a few others is meaningful. It still is my #1 for me. AoT has broken its way towards the top, but CAS is just too great. There has never been an anime that I so routinely put on while I'm going to bed, that I've watched so many times, and not only watched so frequently but still cried at various points. You're spot on when you said you can learn a lot about how to treat others. It was foundational for me when I was just 15, and still influences how I act in relationships to this day almost 10 years later. AoT will never be that for me, despite how great its plot, characters, music, and animation are - I can't learn how to treat others around me and be a part of my community from AoT, which is why CAS will remain my #1 for a long time to come.
Agree with your points. For me your life in April is top because it left me crying for days, followed by clannad after story. Both of them taught me deeper life lessons.
For me I thought clannad was just ok but then I saw after story which quickly brought it to be my #1 anime, it also caused it’s first season to be really good for me because you get to see all the subtle foreshadowing and stuff that will come back at the end, it was also the first anime to make me cry from happiness so it will always be close in my heart
I can't tell people enough how much I love Nana. Not only is the music fucking amazing, like you said but I just absolutely love how realistic it is and the fact that it's not in a high school setting. I could talk hours about Nana
My top has remained unchanged for a very long time. You did a video on it a LONG time ago, and it's showcased on your bookshelf behind you: Haibane Renmei. The reasons you loved Clannad, are the same reasons I love Haibane. It's helped me a few times in the past, and simply entertained me countless times more. Yoshitoshi Abe has expressed interest in making a sequel. I'm not optimistic it'll ever happen, but I desperately hope so!
Slice of Life and MOE are fun enough, but there is little effort put into them. They're absolute classics and it's a damn shame they aren't talked amongst western audiences more often.
HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS GOOD SOMEONE FINALY MENTIONED MORIBITO! I have been singing this shows praise for 6 years now since my mother found and watched it without me and told me to watch it. I was ashamed I missed it considering I was watching and keeping up with the weekly anime back when it came out :p (I also usualy recommended to people that if they like it they should also check out beast tamer erin (kemono no souja erin) as the 2 shows are based on novels from the same author and have alot in common (erin doesn't have nearly as much actions but the themes and way of telling the story are similar)
This is THE anime I try to get my husband to see. Because he does not watch anime AT ALL but loves history and japan. I'm so so so curios if this would get him hooked. Haven't succeeded yet though :D

Kino's Journey, yeah this dude is legit. Time to add some to my watchlist. I guess Made in Abyss never did it for me that much because no matter how god tier the worldbuilding is, the mein characters aren't really the main star of the show, which made it fall kinda flat for me, but the final episode of the final season is a straight up masterpiece. The second season I think is all around much better because the main antagonist almost becomes a main character and gets fleshed out much more, even having the spotlight, along with the flashbacks, so overall season 1 much more world driven and season 2 way more character driven, which is why I enjoyed it more. Great video, had to add some to the watchlist.
Shout out to Arkada for reminding us that the year we're in isn't the only one that has anime, and why we may never be able to watch all of it. Also yes, I seriously need to watch Nana. I know I'm going to like it but goddamnit I keep getting sidetracked. 😁

Ah Clannad Afterstory the absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking gut punch of an Anime that you didn't know you needed in life, but you absolutely did.
As a viewer and fan, I become the happiest when you share your love for these “older” anime. Higurashi, Kino’s Journey, Shin Sekai Yori, even Girls und Panzer-it was a wonderful trip through anime’s recent past! (And now I want to go make my own top 20 HIDIVE list 😆)

I think Made in Abyss is very similar to the Manga Oyasumi Punpun (Goodnight Punpun), in that it is a brilliant masterpiece and objectively extremely good, but I still would not recommend to people. Both will crush your soul. Punpun is a lot darker and more realistic though.
Such amazing choices, I've already fallen in love with many of these shows because you'd mentioned them before (I easily guessed what your #1 would be lol), but you let me know about even more to keep my eyes on and add to my list! 😁

I find it so cool that I've been watching you for seemingly forever, and yet there were STILL some shows that I'm only hearing you talk about for the first time. There's no end to the overflow of incredible anime series out there and I'm so excited to continue to discover new shows and fall in love with new worlds and characters. Also I'm so happy that Clannad is still so highly regarded by you. It's a show that manages to have a new way of helping and healing me throughout every different stage of my life that I've watched it. It's the most beautiful story with the most beautiful world with the most lovable characters, all accompanied by a soundtrack and visuals that are both near perfection. It's a perfect show in my eyes. And an experience I think everyone absolutely needs to have, for it will not only heal them if they are in need of reclaiming lost light from their lives, but also inspire them to become a more compassionate and caring individual and make the world a kinder place.
OMG I drew my own Angelic Layer puppet 20 years ago !!!!! My fav Clamp has to be Chobits, even though I was heeeeeavily invested in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (manga) at one point. But AL is a staple and so so sooooo good! I love your tastes, BTW!
I'm surprised that only two of my eight favorite anime series are on that site, and they're both on your list: Kino's Journey and Princess Tutu. I decided to watch all my favorite anime series this year and have only one to go: Baccano. They're all still favorites. (The others are Haibane Renmei, Gankutsuou, Crest of the Stars, Wolf's Rain, and Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal.)
Probably my favorite thing about HiDive is that they generally have all the OVA and Movies for the shows they have. I thought for sure I would see Love, Chunibyo & other Delusions on your list, when restricted as it was cut down the competition.
I really REALLY can't tell you what my favorite is. Maybe it's because I have commitment issues, maybe because I forgot 80% of the anime I've seen. Maybe because depending on my mood there is always a different anime at the top of my head when asked. A kid recently asked me for anime recommendations and I blanked completely. Aside from the obvious and popular ones, I could not think of anything. After that, I keep remembering anime I've seen that I like far more than what I recommended at the time. Now I keep a list on my phone :D At this particular time, I would say my favorite anime is "March comes in like a lion" . Maybe,. Possibly. God I hate that I don't have a fave.
Those two restrictions should just be one restriction. If an anime satisfies restriction 2 (must be available from hidive, a streaming service) then it would necessarily meet restriction one, thus making restriction one redundant
Land of The Lustrous manga will make you feel an endless void of melancholy that will be VERY hard to fill, the only other story that has made me able to fill that void was Made in Abyss, and that should tell you something.
I had MyAnimeList by my side the whole time and I kept searching and adding anime from throughout the video... I just trust your taste Tristan, and I trust that I'll enjoy these
I've watched Fate/Zero nine times since it came out and I've never grown tired of the dialogue, philosophical discussions, amazing soundtrack, animation that is better than shows that come out even to this day and some of my favorite characters in anime. It's also a great entry point with nonanime fans in the west.

Angelic Layer! I remember I saw clips from it in an anime AMV or something a few years back, and I watched it all the way through. I just love it, and I'm glad you included it on the list!
Always glad to see some promotion for HiDive, as I'm a hipster who likes old anime (especially mecha anime), and it really caters to that. Two of my own favorites from it are the classic, hard sci-fi mecha show Armored Trooper Votoms, and the 110 episode epic space opera Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
3:13 oh my god I thought I was only person who like You’re Under Arrest. Yes it’s an absolute classic but doesn’t get enough love as it should get. Also the intro to the OVA series is one the best intros ever.
Seeing anyone even mention it is rare enough, but this is so much better. The 4 original OVAs are really well made and I can rewatch them anytime. Definitely my favourite show from the 90s.

I have most of the anime on this list likewise shirobako and Angelic layers these are good shows but i won't dare put them on same category legend of galactic heroes cuz it is way better I'm pretty sure GR knows that. I don't think anyone would call legend of galactic heroes a show that defined their taste(for some people it might). Like for example i think fmab is masterpiece but I wouldn't say it defined my taste in anime. Same is the case with this list. Its more personal than ranking them in terms of writing.

am glad that I saw SSYori after watching your original ShinSekai Yori video long back. Easily one of the best post apocalyptic world building plots in all anime.
Patlabor what a throwback.. Thought Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous) was over, welp seems like it's only on a long long hiatus. While I agree one Chihayafuru making you excited about the Karuta games and interested in the game. The first two seasons plots are practically the same, just one year older. The third season transforms/evolves a bit, makes the plot finally move a bit and the characters too, but not in my favor as I progressively got more annoyed by the main trio. Well at least the manga is close to a closure in around 30 chapters (at least I hope) .
There’s a couple from this list I should check out considering HiDive does get money from me each month. Love, love any time I can hear someone else liked Mysterious Girlfriend X. Such an odd premise but incredibly sweet.
Mysterious Girlfriend X was such a surprise manga. Sure some might get put off the odd stuff in it but it told a story about the troubles of communication between two awkward people. I'd say it was a better romcom than most out there.

I can't wait for season 2 to be animated, mostly out of morbid curiosity on how they're going to handle it. Deep soul was a masterpiece and if they can do the same to the next arc I'll be fucking impressed, It's going to be way harder but if anyone can do it, its Kinema and Kevin.

Princess Tutu has been my favorite anime since I watched it and tbh I'm not sure if anything will ever top it. It hits hard enough if you like magical girl anime, it hits even harder if you're a writer or like analyzing fiction in a structural way, and hits WAY harder if you like ballet or classical music. I like all of those things, so Princess Tutu essentially came into my house and said "I live here now" and I said "thank you ma'am."

I’m the exact same way right now. I think I’ve been coming to this channel for about six or seven years since I first started watching anime and I also still need to get on with finishing Clannad and start After Story. I’ve been putting it off all this time due to the emotional rollercoaster people say it is and I still continue to try and catch up with all the videos this great channel has put out. I really need to get on with it soooon. Plus you are right. This channel is a champion of truly expressing the beauty of so many of these amazing stories and deserves to continue going for a long time to come.

Land of the Lustrous and Made in Abyss are my favourite works of fiction just ever. I am just forever in love with that kind of bizarre and melancholy type of world. If I went into detail about the narrative journey of both of these works we'd be here all day, and I'm sure everything I love about them has been said a thousand times by a thousand people. They're just.... so good, and they make me feel a way no other stories have ever been able to

I absolutely agree with the Nana recommendation! The tall, very thin characters kind of weirded me out at first, but the story and characters really sucked me in. If you want a mature romance anime that doesn't sugarcoat life, Nana is the show for you. If I could purchase a physically copy to add to my collection, without having to sacrifice limbs, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I fell off after EP14. I think it's just pretending to be deep when it's instead a huge mess. Maybe I'm wrong tho. It reminded me of the tail end of Flip Flappers where it went from one of the best animations of its era to weird weird more weird too weird weird.

@@hitandruncommentor Dude Parasyte was freaking awesome. It was even cooler watching it while it came out. I watched it back in 2018 when I was starting to get into a wider range of anime. I'd only seen it when I'd seen about 30 anime. Now I've probably seen like 90+ so what made it so cool when I saw it the first time may have less impact now that I'm more exposed to anime.
Hell yeah I love Legend of the galactic hero
Lots of great choices but I feel Kino's Journey for the #11 choice is the standout for me. I've always been such a big fan of that story from the atmosphere and the unique tones, the OST, and just, the classic feel. It's such a gem of a show, I'm glad it's taken such a high list!
I should also mention, if you've enjoyed Clannad for After Story, I highly recommend you trying out Little Busters for its equivalent season, Refrain. It's made by Jun Maeda/Key as well, and although it's not adapted by KyotoAnimation, it's still a sturdy adaptation of a story that really does something unique with its storytelling that most visual novels don't have. It's my favorite anime of all time that even surpassed Clannad itself, so it might tickle your fancy!
A fun way I restrict my favorites is by listing them by first letter in the title. With only one from each letter, it both allows lesser praised shows some time to shine but also invites heavy contemplation when half your favorites somehow share the same letter.

Mysterious Girlfriend X! It has been ages ago I read the manga, almost forgot about it until you brought it up. It really is a theme that sure is hell kinky.
For Moribito, I am still hoping one day we get a second season... Not sure would the author of the novel allow. It has such a good story and MC, rarely do main character uses spear, and it is one of my favourite weapon.
I still stand-by Deen FSN has its place. It is the series that pull me into Fate world, and it is the one that puts Saber as the main character.
I'm always happy to see Princess Tutu be acknowledged. I'm not sure I could pick a favourite anime but Princess Tutu would definitely be a strong contender for me.

Yeah, loved it myself, and glad to see it get some love. I wish they would do more of it. The anime is only book 1? of a 8 book series, if I remember right. There is a live action show where they went farther, but I've yet to look it up, somday.

Gintama is my favorite anime of all time. It really affected how I view life and how I live my own, it taught me a lot about what life is really about. There were a lot of things in the show that I resonated with personally and despite all the sadness and gloom, life is still worth living

Doesn't matter. The fact it was favorite for a time and only trumped by a few others is meaningful. It still is my #1 for me. AoT has broken its way towards the top, but CAS is just too great. There has never been an anime that I so routinely put on while I'm going to bed, that I've watched so many times, and not only watched so frequently but still cried at various points. You're spot on when you said you can learn a lot about how to treat others. It was foundational for me when I was just 15, and still influences how I act in relationships to this day almost 10 years later. AoT will never be that for me, despite how great its plot, characters, music, and animation are - I can't learn how to treat others around me and be a part of my community from AoT, which is why CAS will remain my #1 for a long time to come.
Agree with your points. For me your life in April is top because it left me crying for days, followed by clannad after story. Both of them taught me deeper life lessons.
For me I thought clannad was just ok but then I saw after story which quickly brought it to be my #1 anime, it also caused it’s first season to be really good for me because you get to see all the subtle foreshadowing and stuff that will come back at the end, it was also the first anime to make me cry from happiness so it will always be close in my heart
I can't tell people enough how much I love Nana. Not only is the music fucking amazing, like you said but I just absolutely love how realistic it is and the fact that it's not in a high school setting. I could talk hours about Nana

The reasons you loved Clannad, are the same reasons I love Haibane. It's helped me a few times in the past, and simply entertained me countless times more. Yoshitoshi Abe has expressed interest in making a sequel. I'm not optimistic it'll ever happen, but I desperately hope so!

HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS GOOD SOMEONE FINALY MENTIONED MORIBITO! I have been singing this shows praise for 6 years now since my mother found and watched it without me and told me to watch it. I was ashamed I missed it considering I was watching and keeping up with the weekly anime back when it came out :p
(I also usualy recommended to people that if they like it they should also check out beast tamer erin (kemono no souja erin) as the 2 shows are based on novels from the same author and have alot in common (erin doesn't have nearly as much actions but the themes and way of telling the story are similar)
This is THE anime I try to get my husband to see. Because he does not watch anime AT ALL but loves history and japan. I'm so so so curios if this would get him hooked. Haven't succeeded yet though :D
Nana was the show that got me into anime. Life wasn't good at the time and I just fell in love with the show. Definitely in my top 3.

I guess Made in Abyss never did it for me that much because no matter how god tier the worldbuilding is, the mein characters aren't really the main star of the show, which made it fall kinda flat for me, but the final episode of the final season is a straight up masterpiece.
The second season I think is all around much better because the main antagonist almost becomes a main character and gets fleshed out much more, even having the spotlight, along with the flashbacks, so overall season 1 much more world driven and season 2 way more character driven, which is why I enjoyed it more.

I think Made in Abyss is very similar to the Manga Oyasumi Punpun (Goodnight Punpun), in that it is a brilliant masterpiece and objectively extremely good, but I still would not recommend to people. Both will crush your soul. Punpun is a lot darker and more realistic though.

I find it so cool that I've been watching you for seemingly forever, and yet there were STILL some shows that I'm only hearing you talk about for the first time. There's no end to the overflow of incredible anime series out there and I'm so excited to continue to discover new shows and fall in love with new worlds and characters.
Also I'm so happy that Clannad is still so highly regarded by you. It's a show that manages to have a new way of helping and healing me throughout every different stage of my life that I've watched it. It's the most beautiful story with the most beautiful world with the most lovable characters, all accompanied by a soundtrack and visuals that are both near perfection. It's a perfect show in my eyes. And an experience I think everyone absolutely needs to have, for it will not only heal them if they are in need of reclaiming lost light from their lives, but also inspire them to become a more compassionate and caring individual and make the world a kinder place.

I'm surprised that only two of my eight favorite anime series are on that site, and they're both on your list: Kino's Journey and Princess Tutu. I decided to watch all my favorite anime series this year and have only one to go: Baccano. They're all still favorites. (The others are Haibane Renmei, Gankutsuou, Crest of the Stars, Wolf's Rain, and Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal.)
I don't even need restrictions, my fav anime list already only has under 30 titles. It takes a lot for me to consider something a favorite of mine.

Probably my favorite thing about HiDive is that they generally have all the OVA and Movies for the shows they have. I thought for sure I would see Love, Chunibyo & other Delusions on your list, when restricted as it was cut down the competition.

I really REALLY can't tell you what my favorite is. Maybe it's because I have commitment issues, maybe because I forgot 80% of the anime I've seen. Maybe because depending on my mood there is always a different anime at the top of my head when asked. A kid recently asked me for anime recommendations and I blanked completely. Aside from the obvious and popular ones, I could not think of anything. After that, I keep remembering anime I've seen that I like far more than what I recommended at the time. Now I keep a list on my phone :D At this particular time, I would say my favorite anime is "March comes in like a lion" . Maybe,. Possibly. God I hate that I don't have a fave.
Those two restrictions should just be one restriction. If an anime satisfies restriction 2 (must be available from hidive, a streaming service) then it would necessarily meet restriction one, thus making restriction one redundant
Land of The Lustrous manga will make you feel an endless void of melancholy that will be VERY hard to fill, the only other story that has made me able to fill that void was Made in Abyss, and that should tell you something.
I had MyAnimeList by my side the whole time and I kept searching and adding anime from throughout the video... I just trust your taste Tristan, and I trust that I'll enjoy these
I've watched Fate/Zero nine times since it came out and I've never grown tired of the dialogue, philosophical discussions, amazing soundtrack, animation that is better than shows that come out even to this day and some of my favorite characters in anime. It's also a great entry point with nonanime fans in the west.

Always glad to see some promotion for HiDive, as I'm a hipster who likes old anime (especially mecha anime), and it really caters to that. Two of my own favorites from it are the classic, hard sci-fi mecha show Armored Trooper Votoms, and the 110 episode epic space opera Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
3:13 oh my god I thought I was only person who like You’re Under Arrest. Yes it’s an absolute classic but doesn’t get enough love as it should get. Also the intro to the OVA series is one the best intros ever.
Seeing anyone even mention it is rare enough, but this is so much better. The 4 original OVAs are really well made and I can rewatch them anytime. Definitely my favourite show from the 90s.
HiDive also has Legend of the Galactic Heroes which has one of the greatest stories in anime

@@etenat8772 bro legend of the galactic heroes is show anyone who has completed it knows what a masterpiece it is. This list for GR is more personal. One that impacted him more. I have most of the anime on this list likewise shirobako and Angelic layers these are good shows but i won't dare put them on same category legend of galactic heroes cuz it is way better I'm pretty sure GR knows that. I don't think anyone would call legend of galactic heroes a show that defined their taste(for some people it might). Like for example i think fmab is masterpiece but I wouldn't say it defined my taste in anime. Same is the case with this list. Its more personal than ranking them in terms of writing.

Thought Houseki no Kuni (Land of the Lustrous) was over, welp seems like it's only on a long long hiatus.
While I agree one Chihayafuru making you excited about the Karuta games and interested in the game. The first two seasons plots are practically the same, just one year older. The third season transforms/evolves a bit, makes the plot finally move a bit and the characters too, but not in my favor as I progressively got more annoyed by the main trio. Well at least the manga is close to a closure in around 30 chapters (at least I hope) .
There’s a couple from this list I should check out considering HiDive does get money from me each month. Love, love any time I can hear someone else liked Mysterious Girlfriend X. Such an odd premise but incredibly sweet.
Mysterious Girlfriend X was such a surprise manga. Sure some might get put off the odd stuff in it but it told a story about the troubles of communication between two awkward people. I'd say it was a better romcom than most out there.
