Lxx Uxn I am a white nationalist. I want all races to preserve their heritage and be the best they can be, which in my view is by being seperate and to live in whatever way works best for them. I support Hotep because they understand this too. I want black people to be proud and independent. I want the same for my own people. I want to secure the existence of my people and a future for white children. Blacks need to do the same. Blacks need to build strong families, less single parenthood, they need to work to build strong communities that look after each other and raise strong, empowered children that work hard, live clean and support themselves and their families. The black community has been destroyed by decades of oppressive policies and propaganda that have made blacks into perpetual victims, always reliant on the state, and trained to always look to the nanny state for solutions. The solution comes from within. Black men must be strong, must build their own businesses or excel at their jobs. They must be providers for their families again. The destruction of black communities is rooted in the destruction of the traditional family.

His perspective is else is a Eurocentric projection. I don't see what makes this brother smart? How can "hotep" represent peace but at the same time, represent the oppression of Black women? The brother needs to get the European out of his mind. Has anyone noticed white people are attempting to use the word "hotep" as a negative indicator for Black people who are removing the chains of mental slavery. In real life, not on the internet, we greet each other by saying, "Hotep and Maat". Maat represents truth, balance, order, harmony, law, morality, and justice. Eurocentric thinkers always omit crucial details whenever it stands to serve their purpose.

I experienced this mentality back in the early 90's while serving overseas. There was a sizeable group of us that would meet to discuss all things black. Some of us were genuine in our desire engage in self-development, while others were more interested in trying to create a space for themselves to be all powerful and controlling. All the while, these knuckleheads ran around saying, 'asalaam alykum' or 'hotep' to each other. Also, these fools tried their best to use 'new found or recently discovered knowledge' of African history, Islam, or biblical teachings to attack black folk who were not as well read.. It didn't take long for the group to fall apart because some people are snakes... It seemed like their only objectives was to mentally and spiritually destroy anyone that did not immediately bow down to them or appeared not on their level. In closing, it didn't take long for each and every one of the knuckleheads to reap what they sewed. All of the trouble-makers ended up in really messed up situations (I did not wish bad on them), to include destroyed marriages, family strife, career ending bad decisions, substance abuse, and even death. I am thankful that my wife insisted that I leave these crazy insane members of our community alone and move on with building with like minded individuals.
In closing...I assumed my opportunities to connect with educated, capable, and ambitious fellow black folk would improve. Well, the truth is we are all struggling with the same demons. We have a lot of work to do because we are fighting an uphill battle. We don't pose a real threat to the system because despite their being 47+ million black folk in American...very few have their Q#@^T#! together and are willing and able to build coalition. Most, to include myself in certain aspects, are eating crumbs off the masters table... This sucks. For nearly 21+ years I have been searching for 10 solid black folk to work with to build a better mouse trap. It is not rocket science...as long as you get pull your head out of your ass so that you can stop seeing and smelling your own shit (self-centered BS)

If Damon Young of Very Smart Brothas(VSB) is smart about something, it is definitely not this topic. Some of the attributes given to the label "Hoteps" are distasteful and should be called out on their own merits, or lack there of. Summarily dismissing a segment of the black population, who are interested in solving the problems in the black community, by labeling them and consequently disregarding everything they have to say is ignorant AF. Black folk need all hands on deck....AND the space to have respectful sharing and challenging of ideas, so that we can address the serious issues in our community. This attack on "Hoteps" is apart of a legacy of internalized oppression steeped in attacking those black folk who think its crazy to keep living according to the normalized insanity we call society. Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, the real MLK, etc would have all probably been considered Hoteps by folks who had something to lose when the system is exposed or challenged... Guys like Damon Young got attention in this system for being "A Very Smart Brotha" while Black folk who outright challenge oppression were diagnosed as "Drapetomanics" and labeled insane for not having it. Wow! Pleeeease, if you believe anything, don't let it be this video. This video grossly, and sadly misrepresented what a "hoteper" is. Firstly, there's no group of people identifying as a hotep, let's make that clear for those who may have thought otherwise. To call someone a hotep is like a diss to what some may call "woke/conscious" black people, who are greatly invested in African history (especially Ancient Egypt, hence the word hotep, which simply means peace), cultural preservation, African spirituality, and African progress. Even other "woke/ conscious" people call one another a Hoteper, because it's kind of regarded to those who only like to engage in debates and discussions about what needs to be done in the black community, and how great we once were, but not do anything progressive in the real world; that's when someone is usually called a hoteper. To call someone a Hotep is the equivalent of calling someone who is a real devout Christian, a "Holy-Rolly." It came about from when these specific brothers AND sisters greet each other in peace, they say, "Hotep." Basically, it's a small diss. Now, this video, much like that BS ass show, "Dear White People", essentially attacked strong, black male warriors. BOTH men and women can be called a "Hotep", to be clear. In that episode of Dear White People, they made a logical, sensible brother seem like a hate filled, irrational, conspiracy theorist, who is not worthy to be taken serious, even though he made the most sense. Much like Kilmonger was done in the film, "Black Panther". And it's all because of the gay agenda. NOTICE in the show, the turning point came when the strong, black "Hotep" brother said the dreadful three letter word, "FAG". Oh, that's when it ALL started to make "sense" to the girl. Funny, the show's creator is a gay, black male. Hoteps don't align their beliefs with homosexuality. Still don't think the show, AND this episode is an attack? Lol, ok. PS, I am NOT what someone would call a Hotep.

No such thing as a “hoteps”...... he truly doesn’t know what Hotep really means.........no one can be a “Hotep”. Y’all need to stop trying to use words in an offensive manner when you don’t even understand the term, it’s use and origin.

Hoteps take pride in being self-sufficient, working, masculine black men. There is a blue-collarness to Hoteps that the elite class finds distasteful, but that is classism.
Just because they don’t drink your cool-aid doesn’t make them haters.

@@whiskyguzzler982 They are so 'pro-Black' until it comes to Black women, the Black members of the LGBTQ+ community, and everything else. They say everything is racist and get into hour-long arguments about the minutiae of Egyptology and African philosophy, but have little understanding of science or basic history. And last time I checked, hoteps are *Black,* so what are you? Do you honestly think you should be speaking on this?

Taurus 03 The belief that a person must be of a certain race, sex, gender, or sexuality is to express their opinion on a subject that plainly affects our whole society is bigotry. I’m fine with my support of independent men, even if they are Black and I’m not.

Also some, NOT ALL are great teachers! This clip hurts more than helps to explain pro-blackness because it make s black people who love and have knowledge of their culture as fake!

Karen Cruz it’s not a thing per se - nobody goes around identifying as one. He’s just referring to bigoted people, which could show up in any religion or culture. Particularly he is referring to and tragically amalgamating Black consciousness and African spiritual thinking with the problematic bigotry that exists in many cultures and religions across the world. There are many who viably distrust the government and believe in African spiritual principles who try intentionally to not be hypocritical in their actions. And those, like in every walk of life, who are. He’s essentially taking the whole lot of the woke down with him in this simp-ass, pro-hegemonic explanation of Black consciousness.
