I love how you always emphasize the importance of reading non-fiction books. I am guilty of reading a ton of fiction books and not enough Non-Fiction/Self Help/Life books. But you really inspire me to read more of them!
Aww I’m so glad I can be a source of inspo!! There are many ways to keep education and learning a part of your life, but books are definitely my fav way so I love chit chatting with you all about them 😍 makes me happy you guys put up with listening to me lol!
I like that passage because I've recently been seeing life as a wave... like in the ocean. A wave is always bobbing up and down. It's neither good or bad - it's just being what it is... a wave. It's natural for the wave to go up and down and as an outsider looking at the wave, the only validation that's needed for the wave bobbing up and down is that it's a wave. Sometimes, due to external forces or the location of the wave, it may move faster or be still or be aggressive and fall down a waterfall. Even after all that... it's still a wave.
Omg, I stumbled across your channel and i love it! Especially the fact that you read regularly, since it’s so rare to see it nowadays. I read a lot, and now i am so happy to find a fellow reader whose content relaxes me so much. 🥰
I love the part of the book that you shared about pursuing happiness as a goal in life humans are not built to be in a constant state of happiness , so true ! We have ups and downs !
Loved the passage from the book about happiness. Definitely relavent in today's time. It is crazy to think that we strive so much for happiness and we land somewhere right outside of it so often. The cool thing...there is nothing wrong with that and we are not alone in that. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for another lovely, cosy, fun vlog! I so relate to your sarcastic comments and reflections on something you just said, I feel like I do that all the time and it cracks me up to hear you do the same thing! 😂
I LOVE your vlogs!! They bring me so much joy and I love to see someone with a similar Indigo obsession as me haha ☺️ (I may need to run and get those measuring spoons 👀🍋)
the "humble" sign when you were talking about your pizza cracked me up LOL I love your balcony set btw! It's so fun with the tile pattern. I haven't read non-fiction in a while so this motivates me to get back on it!! Btw alwaaaays good to see you!!
I identify so much with that passage you read - I had a hard time in 2021 and got myself out of it, but when I felt down this year I was like "again?! I thought I got past this?" but it really is a part of life. Definitely will look into the book In terms of your new read, my prediction (I could be wrong) is that it's similar to a point I've heard before about how media aimed at women (books, tv, etc) make the male love interest SO perfect and unattainable in real life so when we see people that don't match up to those imaginary examples, we don' t give them the time of day. That, and that on both sides a relationship is something that is worked on, not magically perfect b/c humans are not perfect
I’m curious to hear about the new book you’re reading when you’re finished with it! I really value your opinions, and I find that title intriguing as someone who recently came out of a long term 5 year relationship because I didn’t want to settle for good enough:)
(If anyone feels concerned about me sounding entitled from that last statement, I left for another relationship that makes me feel more fulfilled and valued than I could have ever dreamed!)
Thanks for that amazing video! You inspired me to buy a non fiction book, a financial one: invierte en ti (idk if it exists in english) so far so good! Thanks Caitlin! Looking forward your next video 😀👍
I’ve started having to buy groceries for my boyfriend in addition to myself this Summer and that plus inflation plus just living in a different, generally more expensive area is killing me financially, tbh. I’m definitely partially doing it to myself but I’m also definitely not bad enough to need to stop buying ice cream 😅
I personally think the problem with non-fiction is that authors tend to claim to be experts in fields where they're not. I've come across such pseudo-advice that it ruined the genre for me 😅 Which is a shame for those who are actually experts, researchers etc. and would like to share their knowledge.

Yoga is a form of meditation in Hinduism and Buddhism so it makes sense that you made the connection between movement and meditation.
I’d love to hear more about your family zoom call about investing!!!!
Ahh thanks for this ❤️❤️
You should read The Happiness Advantage, if you haven’t yet. Really interesting perspective on how happiness and success interact.
