The seventh video in the series taking an in-depth look at the wonderful Vermona DRM-1 Mk.iii drum synthesiser. Today we're digging into the Clap voice.
+Tom Young thanks for watching! There'll be some more videos coming soon including looking at how velocity affects the voices and some geeky oscilloscope videos!
depends what you want i guess. if you're after plain vanilla 808 claps, this probably doesn't do as well as most. if you want exploratory mayhem (add assorted distortions, bitcrushers, filters etc) this offers WAY more depth and sound design
@@dannybrazen Idk just sounds very weak "straight from the box". You can add distortion, bit crushing and filtering on a fart and it will sound good, it's not about that...
Thanks for the videos! This one in particular saved me from sending an angry email to the guy who sold me a drm-1, I thought the clap was broken, LOL!
Thanks very much for a thorough and well thought out video series!
Thanks for this series Sir! Much appreciated
+revoguy1 my pleasure. Glad you enjoyed them!
Great series. I can't wait to get my hands on this amazing machine.

That sounds great! Looking forward to more videos on this great machine.

Oui, c'est vrai!
I am thinking of pulling the trigger on the steel knob version of this thing. I had the DRM II for awhile and had to sell it for rent.
+Christopher Pederson the steel knob version also integrates the analogue trigger inputs right? It is a pretty beast!
Weakest link in the machine IMHO, very very bad sounding clap...

Boss HC-2 can clap. This one can't
