Tough loss for Leon since Maister has routinely been his bracket demon. I was so happy to see him implement a new strategy and basically camp with firebreath. It worked so well, but I think Leon got a little too antsy at the end
yeah I mean obviously you gotta play great to almost beat maister but it seemed like he played very unsafe. Like there is not a good reason to get hit right there when he has so much space on the other side of the stage to at least attempt to go to.
As a bowser player, i just think that he also got hasty and got predictable in trying to fish for those side b's. Maybe juat trying to close out the game with a different move. Even with conditioning opponents to shield, at calliber level where they are playing, it will be a kill option the oppenent will be expecting
leon is such a smart player hoooooly shit: - played around bucket by overwhelming it with fire breath spam at the exact right moments, ensuring that maister couldnt just invalidate one of his best tools with bucket. - realized that maister was starting to really adapt to him around game 3, so he played super safe in game 4 and didnt utilize fire breath all that often, trying to throw maister off his usual game plan. - went all in on game 5, playing way more risky, trying out whatever reads he could get based off of previous games (e.g. the up smash attempts), and went right back to the fire breath spam. - probably more tbh, im not a top player

Why does gnw down smash have 3 different hitboxes all which kill when characters like wario and fox and probably more have bad sour spots which do have terrible knock back.
It’s good seeing LeoN at this high of a level with Bowser, hopefully he can keep it up!

I did expect Maister to take the W but not in the way he did
I may be wrong but it feels like Leon gets impatient towards the end of the game, both players played very well though.

He got a bit desperate and held towards Maister. G&W can't really kill from stray safe hits. Kinda wished he would side B Maister more often.
