I love my black widows it was the first set of pencils that I got outside of Crayola and I just absolutely love them and I love the way each set is meant to build upon the set before it.
They are good pencils!
Would love love the comparison with the polychromos!! I have all the black widows but the dragon set so that would be very helpful since I do have all the polychromos. Hope that all made sense. So glad you got them all now. I absolutely love the black widows. So fun to get new pencils.
I will do some comparison charts soon, I am going to have a plumber working in the house in July, so I will not be able to make so many videos, so the plan is to make lots more, while I can and then do charts etc while it is noisy!

I’m so excited u got to finish your black window pencils.. ages ago I spoke to the owner of black windows and to get open stock I have to contact them though facebook and they are sent from Sydney.. I swatched the Crayola 150 set like this. I was so excited to see that Black Widow put a post up that we can get open stock from them. We have to contact them directly, but I have about 8 that are over 1/2 gone.
I saw someone repost that but I was under the impression they were always available if we asked on their Facebook, maybe I was wrong!
I didn't really get on with the spider set...which is why I sent them to you...but I do like the colour of the greens in the Monarch set.

I have no BWs, the lack of colors in certain sets would drive me nuts! If they ever make a full set of all of them in one, then I'd think about getting them.

I'm on the hunt for the Cobra set and both skin tones, at the moment I can only get them if I buy them from Amz US 🤨 and pay my weight in gold for shipping.
It's not a problem with the company (I spoke with them) but Amz controls stocks and shipping costs, and I'm really close to start a conspiracy theory since all other EU countries have stock but don't ship to Portugal 🤔😵💫

As far as I remember Black Widow is very involved with the coloring community and the names are fabulous because, in the very beginning, most of them were picked out by the coloring community itself 😍
I am sorry you are struggling to get them, I think they are only available on Amazon or directly from the company but they ship from Australia!
While they are technically "available open stock" you have to order them via facebook message, send a private payment to a person, not a company which is risky.. and unless something has changed since I rehomed mine (yep.. I fell for the scam) they are $3 each plus international shipping unless you live in Australia. I can buy Carandache open stock for less than that and have them shipped in my own country. So keep that in mind. It's not like you can pick them up in your local shop or along with some other supplies from a legitimate online store. It's so expensive as to be ridiculous. Even the sets are misleading in price due to how they are packaged.. one doesn't seem so bad at about $20, but you have very limited colors in each. This is done on purpose so you have to "collect them all" to have a reasonable assortment of colors, and they can eat your wallet one bite at a time. To buy the whole set I just added up the current cost on Amazon and it's.... $130. You could buy a full set of Polys for just $20 more. Here in the US I can buy a full set of Prisma for the same price. They are outrageously overpriced for what they are... a cheap Chinese generic pencil that happens to have black wood, distributed by a company called Medihealth1.. who isn't even an art supply company, they supposedly sell "health related products" (if you go to their website there is only one product on there, it's not a secure site, the graphics are obviously copy pasted thumbnails from another company, and the amazon link doesn't work). Comparable brands such as Brutfuner or Soucolor can be had for 1/4th the price. I will say Mr. Albert has some of the best social media advertising sense there is for a product like this to go as viral as it did... it was truly impressive.
I wish that I could get prismas as cheap as you! The original spider set has a good mix of colours. I am now curious and have emailed them to find out how much pencils are to shop to the UK!
I got a reply about cost of open stock from Albert he said they are $1.75 and that is US dollars. He also gave me shipping costs to USA but they depend on how many you buy. I have asked him for UK prices!!
