Zakevar. It gets better. The Gray Prince's father wasn't just a vampire, but an imperial vampire. Therefore, you not only get to destroy an Orc n'wah, nor a half-vampire Orc n'wah, but a mongrel half-vampire Orc n'wah dog of the empire. S-tier.

Cowl of Nocturnal is one of the most OP and useful items to ever exist in an Elder scrolls game. It basically allows you to become a Criminal Batman with a secret identity. You are the hero everyone knows and loves when not wearing the cowl. But once you put it on you are the Grey fox master criminal. And anything that you do while wearing it is attributed the Grey fox and not the beloved hero. You can commit any crime you like but the moment you take off the cowl it doesn't matter until you put on the cowl again. Thieves guild is personally one of the first factions I join and complete the quests for. Comes in handy for some of the Dark brotherhood quests as well. Keeps your character from paying a bounty if you for some reason mess up and are spotted. The detect life enchantment on it is useful for sneaking through some of the areas and avoiding guards and other hostile NPCs.
Fun fact/misconception, but Henantier's Dreamworld is actually a side quest, not a Mages Guild quest. You can completely ignore it and still become Arch-Mage.
@@welshlout3400 Almalexia would have you believe that Henantier's Dreamworld is an essential Mages Guild quest in the hopes that you would get yourself killed in the dream world.
The Blades in Morrowind were handled a lot better than Oblivion and Skyrim for one reason and one reason only Caius. Caius acted like an actual spymaster entrusted with an important mission from the emperor. Even though in game Caius never moved from that spot he sold the idea that informants and other spies under his command were in and out of his house when you weren't there. You got the feeling that Caius had connections in both high and low places. Hell even the early quests where he is sending you out to collect information feels like he didn't need you do do it. He just wanted you to do it since you were already involved so you would need that information eventually so him sending you to do it keeps everything on a need to know basis. Even though Caius was a skooma addict he handled his business extremely well and was a big help to the player and made no major mistakes like Jaffre or Delphine. Jaffre and Delphine by contrast did everything as incompetently as possible. Hell in Skyrim you could remove the Blades from the main quest entirely and it wouldn't have any noticeable effect. Only thing they did was eventually you learned about Dragonrend but eventually Parthaanax could have told you the same information. That Dragonrend existed and he would have done one better and told you how to find out what it was.
Plus Delphine wanted to make you kill one of the three homie dragons in the entire game. Easiest F tier I have ever given to a character and the fact there are mods just to make it so you can say no and get that stain of a quest off your list shows it.
I really like that the Blades in Morrowind were like clearly not the only thing going on. like if the Blade's plan to make the Nerevarene fails the Legions are chilling at strategic locations waiting to wreck shit.
@@beywheelzhater8930 It also shows the faults in skyrim. Think about it you're basically given a quest with literally only one option and no way to just fail it.
Only problem with this is that the only reason the Greybeards even let you near Parthrunaax to begin with us because you need answers about Dragonrend, which you only learn about thanks to the Blades. Greybeards would have had you waste time "becoming ready" on that mountain while Alduin revived more and more dragons to lay waste to Skyrim. The one W from Delphine is that she understood you had to act quickly to save the world and minimize the damage caused by Alduin and his followers.
FUN FACT! If you do the whole of the Arena, and reveal to the grey prince his origins. He doesnt fight back in the arena of course, HOWEVER This counts him as an innocent thus killing him triggers the Dark Brotherhood seeing you, Doing this allows you to Join the dark brotherhood without commiting a crime.

6:55 I acutally did Arena final fight after beating Shimmering Isle. I went to a fight with Razor (1 hit kill chance dagger) and staff of command (or whatever that Jigolag staff was called, one that freezes all around you). At the start of a fight I used the staff, it froze that orc in place, I came to him and started talking, he said something like "Cant you see I dont want to live? just end this already" and I was like: Alllrighty, took out the Razor and just 1 hit Ko him on a first try xd.
The Shimmering Isle? And you can't kill people under the effect of the Staff of Sheogorath as they are treated as being unconscious, so you wouldn't have been able to talk to him, let alone kill him, until the effect of the staff wore off.
CORRECTION: Going into Hernatier's dream world is not required to obtain Kud-Ei's recommendation from the Bravil Mages Guild. It's just a seperate quest offered by the same NPC.
I remember playing oblivion making a mage class and bum rushing the mages guild so I can make spells, then becoming bored with my god status and restarting.
Anyone else wonder why the quest resolution for the Fighter’s Guild vs Blackwood Company was to essentially massacre their guild hall without even telling the Count or constables first?
Because the only evidence you had was the account of a now dead kidnapped farm tool and the word of two disgraced guild members, you and Oreyn. What hard evidence did you have?
The argonians were juicing on hist sap, and getting magic steroids from their sacred trees. So, the argonians were so buff that they made the savage moronic orcs look weak in comparison only to immediately lose their gains once they ran the daedra back to oblivion.
omg your right now that i think about it. the npcs and quests in the dark brotherhood faction was indeed perhaps some of the best in all of elderscrolls lol.
That n'wah Mankar talks a big game, but he's a coward who leaves all the fighting and risk taking to his minions and bolts at the first sign of danger.
Oblivion is honestly my favourite elderscrolls game, still kept elements of what made morrowind so great, but added modern elements, the music is some of the best in the series, but much like morrowind, Todd has seemed to have forgotten about about oblivion, the game that made blew away a generation with its graphics at the time, even today oblivion looks stunning.
its incorrect to criticize Baurus for "watching the mythic dawn kill him" the correct way is him entrusting his care to a person that has escaped their wrath; after the emperor dies with this N'wah, Baurus entrusts the amulet to him... what a fool...
In Oblivion's main questline, I only got as far as the part where you need to bring a daedric artifact to Martin Septim, then I got bored of the game. The only faction I managed to join during that playthrough was the Dark Brotherhood, so I can't say for myself which faction is the best. Maybe someday I'll get back to playing Oblivion. Idk really.
