The developer is the only thing striping the color. Ask any professional hairdresser. The baking soda, shampoo and dawn dish soap do nothing but damage your hair further with chemicals. Just use developer next time so you dont damage your hair.
If you use only developer you'd have to leave it on your hair for like 12h to see any difference, it's the chemical reaction between baking soda and developer that's doing the work. Shampoo and dish soap have nothing to do with it. HOWEVER the baking soda and developer is basically bleach but without the protective elements, should be really careful with it cause you could still fry your hair and it'll fall out

I had not seen this video and last night, I mixed baking soda, Suave clarifying shampoo into a paste and put it on; then I added some peroxide 30 and added too! 😅 left it on for 20 minutes. Forgot to cover it. Then got in shower and used head and shoulders shampoo; a lot of the black hair tint came out!! But it is still black but faded. It feels a little damaged so I am putting on coconut oil; and more hair tint is coming off right now. 😮
The dishwashing soap is extremely bad for your hair, removes all the natural oils, and the baking soda does nothing. The 20 developer is the only reason the colour lifted. Next time try just that, and your hair will be in better for shape. This is a hack. No lie.
They use dawn on wild life. Sure, if you used it daily you’d destroy your hair. Baking soda changes the PH. I don’t know by how much but it definitely does that. It acts a a tooth whitener so there that 🤷♀️
this works v well esp for hair easily prone to damage. all this does is dry out your hair, which can be easily fixed with a good hair mask and hair oil

I have a question! So my natural colour is black and I did red permanent dye over it , so if I do this , will I get back to my normal black color or will it fade my natural colour too
Yes!! I did that almost 2 weeks ago from red hair and my hairs like light brown now. Leave it on for 20 mins!! It works pretty good and didn’t damage my hair, left my hair feeling fine!
@@lilacfairy. Can answer that. Beauty supply stores have a variety of developer from 5 volume to 40 volume. I don't recomend going over 20 volume. They also have dye remover which requires no peroxide.
Okay question, does this work after a few washes of your color? The initial color was okay for me but it's fading really grossly and I'd like to try something else lol
I have dyed my beard. Which is thick and course with every color. Never a problem during the pandemic I tried this n my beard literally Melted off into my hands. Be warned.
Probably not. I think I've seen this hair color from Loreal. Splat is fabric dye and should not be marketed as hair dye. You can literally never get it out of your hair, even with bleach. Don't use Splat! You'd end up having to cut the dyed parts of your hair off after growing it out.

Dawn soap

How much of each do you use?
equal parts of each
I saw someone else say use less developer but everything else is equal amounts
It is effective in natural black hair dyed with honey brown color
It strips color from hair... makes it go lighter
So baking soda, 20 v developer & shampoo? How much of each?
Can someone please share the ratios?
Did it bleach ur hair or to ur natl color?

Can any shampoo be used?

Is it permanent hair
Thank you I will try it
Is this permanent colour or temporary colour?????
Not sure what temporary colour is. But you get semi permanent, demi permanent and permanent colour. This looks like demi
Don’t do this. I’m a hairstylist and this method is so bad when it comes to chemical reactions.
Can you apply the mix like washing your hair with reg shampoo or does it need to be applied section by section?
I have a question! So my natural colour is black and I did red permanent dye over it , so if I do this , will I get back to my normal black color or will it fade my natural colour too
It will remove pigment. So it will be lighter than your natural color
What are the measurements ?
Just eyeball it. Too much product is never a bad thing.

How much of each ingredient?
