Hi Annette and Slavi. To transition from breast feeding to formula/bottle feeding, we gave our babies glucose water to cleanse the baby's palate first. Going to solid food, puree the food like you did with the avocado and banana(not so watery). Keep at it, he will eventually eat more. Mash potatoes with butter too. How about putting the formula in a sippy cup. Just a suggestion. Good luck. Marcelo and Miguel are growing up very nicely. One thing though, you and Slavi shouldn't stress over it. i think he did okay for the first time, remember he has never tasted anything apart from breastmilk. he will get better with time, just continue feeding him semi solids. he is not familiar with the texture and taste yet.

Annette, don’t mix foods when first trying them. You have to make sure there are no allergies. Also try fruits or vegetables or starches separately before you mix them.
My cousin is 6 month and he doesn't like her mom breastmilk at all, he stop at 4 month from breastmilk, he like formal and soft food, just keep trying he will come around but remove avocado in whatever you're giving him love.
THE TRICK: Buy him some flavored ready made shake for him on the baby section. Put it in the bottle and give him when he goes to bed . Try it everyday. He will take it because it’s sweet and that way he will get used to the bottle then u can stop and make him milk. For the solids maybe first try squashing the banana with a fork and give only the banana without mixing it with anything, and yes use the formula milk not the cow milk because it is said cow milk is not good for babies younger than 12 months

My son didn't like bottle either, but went straight to sippy cup. I breastfed / only breast milk for about a year. And introduced solids starting with blended avocado and lettuce. Introduced formula with baby oatmeal or baby rice powder to thicken it a little bit at first. Idk if that's recommended these days, but that's what I did.
Try different things like patatoe yam eggs ripe fig apples when they are small you trjy them with little water in the bottle just give them little finger taste

Hi Annette, please use your milk or the baby formula milk to mix into his food until the baby is 1year old, because the milk the family drink is not for his digestive system and you may cause the baby to have problems in the future. I love you and your family keep up the good work, your husband is a very good dad.
Every baby is different so if marcelo liked that formula, maybe Miguel won't like it to so u can try to introduce him to other formula and see which one he will like and also try other foods puree for him too..
