The best ones to learn first are fast castle economy boom, archer rush and scout rush. Glad you found it helpful. There’s also a build order mod in the game that might help
I just listened to the video without actually looking at it, just like a podcast. But tjere are some steps you missed out very important, like whicj villagers will go to Gold at what stage of the dark age. How many villagers its ok to have 2 stables running up good and how many farms as well Thanks for the video. Your accent pretty strong (bow saw). Lol That's nice
Haha yeah it’s not a strategy for 1v1 arabia. Mainly for closed maps like hideout or in 3v3 or 4v4 games on maps like arabia, providing you’re the middle player
Because a scout can kill a weak villager easier if it is chopping wood or collecting gold. Keep the weak ones by the town centre where the can be garrisoned quickly from incoming scouts
Hi mate. It makes your villages stronger so if you get attacked early by scouts or archers, they will be a bit more resilient to the attack as they will take more hits. With the knight rush, if you can’t get walled quickly, the chances are you will be attacked before you have been able to click up to castle age and that will be deadly, especially without loom :-) however if you’re doing this on a man like hideout where you are already fully walled, you can skip loom or make another villager.
Austin Pugmire that’s a good question, both are good but I would probably say franks because you could get an extra knight a little earlier through not having to research bloodlines, however in this video I probably could have researched that whilst advancing to castle age so that it is in, ready for when I can make knights. The resources saved with franks could help with getting extra defence techs a little earlier and I guess the Berber bonus wouldn’t account for that saving until you have made 17 knights. In the long run, Berber bonus is better but in early castle, franks wins.
Hi! Great question! Multiple reasons really. It’s more efficient as the villagers bump into to each other less, slowing them down. Also if you’re on 2 different woodlines, the woodline won’t be depleted as quickly, which, if you’re using them as part of a wall, is good. Also, if your wood villagers get attacked, the damage won’t be as bad compared to if they are all in the same place.
Hi mate, I’m certainly no pro haha, I’m usually between 1200-1300. 1220 at the minute. Yeah i have 19 pop frank scouts, 18 pop Lithuanian scouts, generic 20 pop scouts, 19 pop Teuton scout (which is difficult to do) and 18 pop mongol scouts. The only one I can claim as my own is the Teuton one, the others are just told in my style of teaching. The Lithuanian one is Hera’s build. Ah man. That sucks. I think I had a similar streak not long ago. You’ll soon go up again, just a bit of bad form perhaps. Happens to us all. I find that it starts getting in my head after about 3/4 losses so I have to take a break for a few days lol
@@MorleyGames1 I have a challenge for you btw. Next time you go play Arabia, go goth m@a into xbow and post the results. Its a heaps fun memey strat because no one expects ir and they're too scared to go into skirms bc the huskarls.
Thanks mate! It also works with camels so Any cavalry civ, so mongols, huns, franks, Teutons, Slavs, Magyar, berbers, saracens, Bulgarian, cumans, Lithuanians, Tatar, Indians and possibly Portuguese. Probably some others I could include there but those are the ones from the top of my head. In terms of maps, any map as long as you can wall up so you don’t get feudal rushed but it can be risky on open maps like Arabia if you can’t wall. Obviously wouldn’t work on arena but it could work on hill fort and hideout as they should get through the walls easily enough.

Awesome! Glad you’re enjoying playing the game and have found this useful. There’s loads more build order tutorials on the channel and more to come! Sure; I will get one sorted for eagles :-)
Hi, any fast castle strategy is very risky on an open map in 1v1 (I think I say that on the video) These are usually done by the pocket (middle) player in team games. It can be very strong on maps like hideout in 1v1 though. If you have a map that’s easily walled, it can work on Arabia, although Cenotes is probably easier to wall up.
You train a few militia or archers to chase them off, move or garrison villagers only if it saves them from dying. Hopefully you kill them without taking too big of a hit on your economy. Might slow you down so that they get castle about the same time too
Because the only “buildings” that should be up against the town centre should be farms so that the villagers can quickly drop off resources at the town centre. :)
You would indeed, in a 1v1 and maybe 2v2. I mention in the video that this is for team games, usually the player in the pocket (middle position). The players on the flanks will be attacking the enemy and you will be able to wall up the front of your base with your buildings. If you still want full walls, you can make an extra villager in dark age to be the builder.

Your food stock seems to allow for sending the last villager from sheep not to build a farm but instead to start walling up.
That’s a nice adaptation
Quick question, what is the point of putting the weaker villagers on farm instead of just using the new ones?
Because a scout can kill a weak villager easier if it is chopping wood or collecting gold. Keep the weak ones by the town centre where the can be garrisoned quickly from incoming scouts

Why do you build your houses so randomly far apart and not right next to town center?
Because the only “buildings” that should be up against the town centre should be farms so that the villagers can quickly drop off resources at the town centre. :)
Use early houses and military structures to frame your walls and use the nearest villager to do so.
