Kyle Poole's drumming in "Recordame" of the sumptuous saxophonist Joe Henderson, is of a very high level. A subtle, gentle playing that leaves room for the other instruments while keeping the rhythm.
Emmet is so amazing, he is an incredible virtuoso excelling on so many different styles and types of tunes and his social networking skills are like a glue that holds all those amazing musicians together, every session is full of magic and energy! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
Emmet is amazing in how he incarnates different styles, always appropriately, for example Ellington's spare and percussive style in his solo on "Perdido", and then various avant-garde explorations derive from it naturally.
Music as usual on A +++. But I have a non-musical question. Some musicians wear white-soled sneakers, some wear socks, and some barefoot. Is it for acoustic reasons or are you saving wooden flooring in your apartment?
