    More people need to keep a trolley Jack like that in their cars. Makes changing a tire so much easier.

      A tip: you can watch series at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.

    As a mechanic, I just bring my Milwaukee M18 3/8 impact to road trips. Will make a tire change so much quicker if needed.

      Limiting time on the road side decreases risk 👍

    Great breakdown kit. I always also carry rust remover (PB Blaster is my norm) and WD40 along with Duct Tape (Because I'm a man) mechanic's gloves, and an extra flashlight. I must say, I rarely have used my stuff on my own vehicles, but I do try to make myself available to aid others. Nice one!

    This is such a great common sense tool kit for on the road. Especially for a novice DIYer who can do the basics and just a little bit more. I got a tire repair kit and portable air compressor too along with some duct tape. Great tip on tying down my jack (that is exactly like yours!) Thank you so much for taking time to make this video.

    The harbor freight coupon book was a good one, so that you have something to read when your stuck on the side of the road with your broke ass truck. Hahahahahhaha 🤣

    Man....initially wasn't so sure but I stayed with it and...awesome video! Excellent points and you're spot on. I...like a lot of people bad a ton of tools in my car / truck. Who am I kidding though...I'm not going to truly repair my vehicle. Great realistic list of stuff. Nice job

    Great video, I keep a 2×12 10 inch longboard in my van in case I have a flat so jack won`t bog down in soft earth, or mud.

    Tire patch kit with slime, flashlight, small tubes of super glue and JB Weld, gloves, and fuses

  • @jdeno76
    @jdeno76 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    My kit is very similar but was built over the last 25+ years and is in separate tool bags that fit under my rear seats. One for electrical/interior problems. One for tire/wheel/brake problems. One for under hood/emergency. I also carry a good flashlight with emergency flasher and rechargeable Klein headlamp. Every breakdown gave me one more item to carry to get to this point lol. Too bad I didn't have TH-cam in the beginning. Duct tape for windows out of track or fallen head/tail lights. Fence wire for loose exhaust or locking your keys in your car (used to be a butter knife, but I no longer drive a truck with non locking vent windows 🤣). Definitely a tow strap though. You can yank without breaking things. I do carry a chain as well. Also a hand pump siphon hose that I've used for others' "fuel transfusions" a few times. It has changed over the years since I rarely off road anymore. I will probably swap the Hi-lift for a smaller floor jack now. Great video!

    Very solid video! Great reminder to not keep your expensive shit for your emergency kit and not overloading your car with every tool that you have.

    I keep white duct tape in my Envoy. It helps to keep bumpers and whatnot on if your Envoy is white like mine. Sadly I've only used it on a red car that didn't stop in time. If only he had a red sharpie...

    Excellent video and list! Others have mentioned lube. I might add a Q-Max bluebeam (helps you see through water and fog) spotlight that works off your 12V dc outlet. I bought it used off of Goodwill Auction site for twenty bucks. You can find them all day long on ebay. Also some trangles or road flares. Two flashlights, one (with a strobe function) to put on or near your vehicle facing traffic to be visible, and a headlamp to allow you to work handsfree. Also a bright fluorescent jacket and or vest, more visibility the better. A cheap survival/bushcraft knife (from harbor frieght haha), compact knife sharpener, A large metal tumbler of water, A jump starter device, two part epoxy, Gorilla tape, small first aid kit including a folded flat white sheet. You can stop the bleeding with a homemade tourniquet and a pen or some paracord. Lighters, small candles, trash bag to keep warm if in cold climates. Also know how to interpret or signal "S.O.S" ... - - - ... - - - ...
    I know I'm probably leaving something out, anyway cheers from Houston!
