      Yes the summers were pretty good for us! We spent the full summer of 2020 in Canmore and the summer of 2019 we did a road trip but seemed a bit more rainy that time!

    How much cost this road trip?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hard to say! The biggest expense is definitely the rental car / camper van and/or accommodation. Campsites are quite cheap (20-50USD) but hotels can be very expensive (150$ per night or more). You can do some cooking too.

    Beautiful images! Could you say what month these images were filmed? Because I'm planning a trip in early May and I'm worried about not seeing such green landscapes at that time. Thanks!

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s a mix of different times in the Rockies! But most of those were filmed during summers. So July / August. May will still have more snow, especially on the higher elevation trails. But it’s also magical 😍

    Great video ! I’m from Australia & not keen on driving on snowy or icy roads. How are the roads in April?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The icy ones are probably still closed in April. The main road will be open and should be fine as long as there’s no big dump of snow. Went at the end of March once and the main highway was fine but smaller roads often had snow

    • @worldwildhearts

    Wow. You've covered alot in this video. I am trying to avoid the crowds and aiming to visit mid June driving from Vancouver to Calgary. I can stay for 5 weeks but now wondering what u should include on my itinerary as some of those hikes look unmissable. Maybe there are camping groups I could tag along with or hire a campervan ?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      5 weeks is a great time! Definitely possible to hit most of these spots. Hiring a campervan would be a great idea.. definitely book your campsites in advance as they sell out super quick in the Rockies. We have a full travel guide on our website with more links and info as well as other videos on our channel: www.worldwildhearts.com/canadian-rockies-travel-guide

    Hiking is the only thing that worries me in Canada because of the bears, what if you come across a violent one and got nothing to protect you?

    • @basmca1
      @basmca1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Time of year makes a difference, bears are not naturally agressive, only early in the season with young.
      Keep your distance, and carry bear spray.

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly what you said! ;)

    • @ldragon8er
      @ldragon8er ปีที่แล้ว

      "Between 2020 to 2022, there were eight fatal grizzly bear attacks in (all of) North America."
      But considering "In 2020, 54% of all gun-related deaths in the U.S. were suicides (24,292), while 43% were murders (19,384), according to the CDC." ...I think we are safer with bears than people. It's the bears that have good reason to be terrified of us humans. Remember all the millions of bears we killed for fur coats and 'sport.'

    Great video!!! Is it necessary to book tickets to enter to national parks in Canada ? Or do we just have to book our space in the campsite?
    TIA and greetings from Costa Rica

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You'll need to buy a national park pass for Canada. But you can buy that at the entrance of the park. You'll definitely need a space at the campsite and they sell out quickly! Best to book asap

    My Mrs loves hiking, but the idea of hiking in Canada scares the life out of me because of bears.....we don't have them in Australia haha and we hike in the winter so snakes aren't a worry either. No preadtors in the Forrest here.

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  หลายเดือนก่อน

      What about dingos? 😉 I think we would be more scared hiking in Australia haha! But it’s what you’re used to I guess. We’ve seen many bears so feel more comfortable around them

    • @grahamashcroft871
      @grahamashcroft871 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@worldwildhearts no dingoes where I live, they wouldn't worry me anyway. They've never killed a single adult in Australia so they're nothing...to me it's like a domestic dog but different because they're in the wild....one bear though, scary haha 😂

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We spent July and August in the Canadian Rockies. That's the best time to visit in our opinion... best chances for good weather and the snow will be melted so it's easier to hike some of the trails!

    Are most of the roads well paved and suitable for any type of vehicle?

    • @worldwildhearts

    When is the best time to visit.Will be in Canada in Nov to march.what are the best sightseeing options near Vancouver.

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      November to March will be very snowy in the mountains. You could visit the Canadian Rockies but it will be for skiing (sunshine village is great for that) or snowshoeing. Many of the roads will be closed when it’s too snowy. Vancouver itself and Vancouver island could be other options to explore.

    Planning to do 2 or 3 month RV tour next year. Like hiking but the bears worry me. I know you can get bear spray and stuff like that but is it a real danger?

    • @worldwildhearts
      @worldwildhearts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely carry bear spray with you as you're very likely to encounter one when hiking! especially since you're going for such a long time. We've encountered many and nothing ever happened, but it's a good piece of mind to have one just in case.
