Just realized that your vision blurs a little when 173 is near....
yeah once i detected him on the other side of a door because my vision got weird. Had it not, i wouldve died because my blink was low.

I finally decided to download the game because I wanted to see all the SCPs it had. I played for about 30 minutes before I ran into Larry(106), and pussied out before he even finished rising up from the ground. Haven't touched it since.

Oh Peanut's easy to get around as long as you keep an eye on your blink. Larry, on the other hand, is another story. I started to run once I heard him coming, but a door shut in my face, and I just gave up lmao

Here's a tip:
If you don't have an S-NAV, place breadcrumbs around the map using useless items (i.e. empty cups or papers)
Those will despawn after a few minutes
You can find the S-NAV right next to the Level 2 Keycard
@polusfever67 S-NAV is an navigator that u should have
@polusfever67 S-NAV is a small device that looks like a controler, you can find it in the room where you get the level 2 keycard. It's basic form shows you the map only of where you already been while having it, but after putting it in 914 it's really powerfull. If you will put it on FINE setting it will automaticly show you THE ENTIRE MAP without walking to every corner of it, but if you will refine it on VERY FINE setting then you will also get a proximity of every hostile SCP around you, it will be marked as a red circle with the indicator of the SCP, if you will se something like it on your S-NAV after refining it on VERY FINE you will know that somewhere in this area is a hostile SCP ready to kill you...

NTF is a type of MTF.MTF are mobile task force squads they can be NTF to SNE (see no evil)

Another useful tip: Check the Ultimate S-Nav whenever possible. Also, if you are hearing 096 crying, keep your head down! Look at the ground until you are sure that you are safe.
It would be even worse if 173 would be accompanying 096

I save everytime I open a door... I think i'm doing too much
Saving too often can sometimes end up getting you stuck in an unwinnable situation (I once quick saved 0.5 seconds before 173 killed me..). Also if you save less frequently you can just quickly reload if you've wandered off in the wrong direction and would need to backtrack.
If you save to much you dont be setting foot on land the timer counts you save but still take your time if 173 gets you.
we cant fix the crash bug in this game try out the game later.
Do it only in tight spots and intersections.
I saved in area 6 once, larry spawned then. That was a sad day

I hate SCP-106 morely, with those tips you have more chance to survive but this dipshit can appear at any time, reforging things at 914? He is coming, Talking with 079? He is coming, Containing 008? He is coming, Talking with 035 he is also fucking coming. You can blast him in electric fence (or how i should spell it) but there is really uncommon to find it when you are running from it.
I am with the guy up me i like the 173 encounters he is a unique enemy and i have fun gettimg terryfied by him and he makes you not rush the game that makes it fit more tha atmosphere but 106 is so annoying my hate for him is so big

173 doesn’t want anyone or anything else to kill you, it has to only be him.But on a more serious note, great vid this will really help me in CB.
Tip #11: If you get the night vision goggles, be sure to go to SCP-914 and refine them on Very Fine. The Night Vision Goggles will now show which direction any enemy is in.

Yep i have tricks look down and you see 173 legs if you look down always you can still avoid 173 and 096 just like nepheron did at 14:17
Completely ignore 096. Just look down and focus on where 173 is and getting away from him before you blink. It's always circumstantial, and wont always end well, but the more experience you have of this situation the easier it gets.

At least it is still good for saving your butt. I was tinkering with SCP-914 and whenever SCP-106 would emerge from the floor I would wait for him to finish his ascending animation and put on SCP-1499 and wait a little. Perhaps the creatures are a bit problematic, especially when they are too close to you.
106 is simple because of the length of his spawn.

I kind of assumed a lot of this would be obvious to people who had seen a few of my videos before, but this way I get to explain my reasoning for doing things instead of assuming/hoping people will figure it out :/
Nepheron I pay attention to your videos on purpose to actually learn so that when I do get the game, I already know what to do. This video simply clarified the things you do, which did help. So thank you ^-^. Also you're just entertaining in general.
#4 has been fixed somewhat, as the enemies found in that dimension now spawn randomly, and could possibly spawn incredibly close to you. This prevents you from staying in the dimension for long periods of time, or using it as a reliable means of escape. One time while using it to escape 106, the creatures spawned in a really freaky circle around, scaring the shit out of me and basically forcing me back out of the dimension.

Great video! I love this game and there were some tips in here that I didn’t even know about! But I have a tip to drop as well. In the entrance zone, don’t hang around cameras too long, or try to avoid them in general, as they bring NTF to your location.

Even with these tips, I never finished the game. I don't want to walk through the entire Entrance Zone for the remote door control, walk to 079, back to the entrance and again to 079.
Edit 2 years later: I know you only need to visit 079 once, and I've just started playing again and beat it twice in about one and a half hours each
If you disable the door control, you don't need to talk to him
First you disable the controls, if you go back and talk to 079 he’ll offer to unlock gate B if you reenable the control systems, once you’ve reenabled the control systems 079 will say (on the intercom you don’t need to walk back to him) that Gate B is unlocked.

I absolutely love the game but my own panic over the jump scares is making it very hard and I keep dying. Thanks for this guide, it will be very helpful to me. I’d never want this game to be spoiled, it’s way to great of a playing experience, but I was looking for a few hints.

You don't have to save right away in the pocket dimension...
There are six arrows on the ceiling pointing in the direction you need to go.
Be careful, they are hard to tell.
If you reach the 4-Way path in the pocket dimension, go to the end of one hallways, but don't go through it fully, if you see a Red room, do not go there, that is the throne room, and will pose a bigger challenge to get out of the pocket dimension.
Edit: I haven't played in a while so i don't know if this has changed...

But honestly, SCP-106 is easy to avoid due to how slow he is

It can still be used on slower SCPs like 173, 106, and 939, but you will have problems if you wanna use it on MTF or 096

the most notable issue - it is enough just to catch some photons. reflected from his face, and you can just shoot your head out, even more good way.
