If he had a bow or a other long range attack, it would have been so easy. If he had waited for that bird fight until he had a proper ranged attack, he could have finished easily. But man sunraku is so determined, he didn't give up to fight it when he's stronger. Instead, his low level character kept going.
Note that Sunraku is several dozen levels below the expected level for this quest. If he was higher level and was able to meaningfully invest in stamina, he’d probably be able to take the hit.
@@allexgustavo7016 he gets 2.5x the stat points when he levels up, at the expense of halving his EXP gain rate. That amounts to some serious bonuses as he levels up. However, at this point, he’s only gained a few levels since getting the collar. He’s definitely not at the point where the gains would make him effectively an appropriate level for this gauntlet. And even if he was, he’s basically foregoing HP and vitality, so he’s a glass cannon no matter what.
@@enlongjones2394 i belive this base on LV of the chalenger since later in the show, Rei also got change to do this and Boss Rabbit give her a fucking overstat Iron Lion to fight. We also have ninja have to fight a Reaper monster that as strong as the last monster Sunraku have to fight.

it was funny to see the fact that Rei imagines Sunraku stepping her so positively instead of what it actually was, well whatever floats her boat. Also amusing to see Sunraku going a little crazy after the constant battles, the toxic bird must have really taken a toll on him since he went through 112 fights with it.

I liked the funny scene where our bunny Emul told Sunraku that the next Battle is just against 1 Monster, but then we get a monster with like 8 snail heads attached to a central bear like body. Then Sunraku tells him that feels like more than 1 Monster and in classic NPC fashion, Emul does not understand.
I remember saying that Shangri-La Frontier gave me Xenoblade Chronicles vibes back when it introduced Unique Monsters. When I saw that the Aberrant Woodmage's level is 120, that was THE "audible oh no" moment for me! In Xenoblade, that's what we call a *superboss* and, at least in Xenoblade 1, that was the level of _the strongest_ superboss! Vash is correct to not expect Sunraku to win. Our boy's gonna have one hell of a five-minute fight for survival.

I liked that they did't make her completly maxed out at like level 100, because that means, if level 100 is the maximum, she can still level up when she gets in a party with sunraku. Atleast thats my prediction, based on the opening where 3 characters are fighting together.

My concern is that, a lot of players would get jealous over others who got unique szenario, because only 1 player can get them and only 1 player can kill the unique boss. What about different servers for different continents, would they each get their own server states where some uniques were already killed or would it all be merged into one? I imagine the playerbase could get frustrated, because of the uniques they would never see. Especially if the guild fighting and defeating the unique wouldn't record it.

who doesn't like a montage? some of the animation while getting more of the backstory was great, like the flock of birds changing the shape of their flight pattern and the judo stuff. another 10/10 episode
Sunraku constantly having to deal with area denial poop/sludge is ridiculously relateable. Whether its Risk of Rain 2, Crab Champions, or any other rogue like fast paced game I play, I love to go for a glass cannon crit build. However, the silliest enemies with tiny area denial or AOE splatter end up killing me.
The show continues to be great at presenting convincing and consistent rationale to support the actions taken by the characters. Trash game obsession, grinding in the Colosseum, critosity of the community to find out about Emul, etc. All of it explains the skill and interest taken in the MC especially, without making all that good/ill will seem unearned. Introducing Rei in the fight outside the city was genius, though now I'm getting sick of her obsessive behaviour. Comes off as creepy considering she follows her crush around, even IRL. Saying no word IRL or in game

Back when *I* was in high school, Diablo 2 was the online game you could sometimes find other students to play with you. But there were NO girls who played that game at my school. That's just how it was back then. It was also the first time I witnessed obvious dudes pretending to be girls for free equipment. Voice-chat wasn't a thing back then for Diablo 2. I laughed while watching it happen.

I like how out of all these training monsters, the one that gave Sunraku the most difficulty was a normal bird that randomly dropped poison.

@starwarsexperte5191 Yeah, he could, but his build focuses on only using twin daggers. Plus, he can only use vorpal weapons during this.

He dies in one hit so anything that can touch him has him screwed. Damage over time also means his luck can't save him with 1 hp sometimes.

Not to mention that Pencilgon was level 99. To me, that implies a player level cap of 99, meaning that thing will never be a fair fight.

Yeah, the author loves Xenoblade and this world is pretty much like the world of Xenoblade.
they made it less disrespectful in the anime, here the poison instakilled him, in the manga it was an unremovable dot killing him 1 hp at a time.....
