    Best time to fish in sweellies, is in small tide in low water, you wanna be on the mainland side fishing facing the house in the island.

    Thanks for a brilliant video yet again, it really helps the likes of me who have to travel a distance and am not sure of the area, when you show where to park etc. You said it was a small tide but what part did you fish, am i wrong in assuming it was low water up?

    • @FindingFishUK
      @FindingFishUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment pal, I'm glad you like the video, we just think it helps if we show you all where we fish in as much detail as I can remember so others can have a go too. It's was a falling tide and then low up. The Bass came from around low up. Thanks for watching all the very best and Merry Christmas. Tim & Dave

    Tim those were brilliant fish. Very nice bass and a cracker of a flounder. Not a beach that I have fished. Ade does pump his blow there and has had a go fishing too. What stage of the tide did you fish 🐟🎣 all the best Ceirion

    • @FindingFishUK
      @FindingFishUK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Ceirion, yeah is a cracking Lug beach, you should give it a go one time for a session, be aware is very flat and shallow...the tide ebbs and floods quick on the big tides we fished it on the ebb on a small tide but we had sessions before and after with just doggies, with almost exact conditions as this night so really is one if those beaches, if they are there you have a chance if not dogs will always come to play 🤣 hope your well pal, thanks for the comment. Tightlines.

  • @MarkPerry-fk1ot
    @MarkPerry-fk1ot ปีที่แล้ว +1

    hi tim brilliant video again, well done to you both on the bass catches, how long did you get at low water to fish before the tide turned, cheers mate

    • @FindingFishUK
      @FindingFishUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the watch & the comment pal, as with many a beach or shore mark the size of tide determines how long you can fish at low water before the tide turns and starts to flood in, with Llanfairfechan being no exception. Llanfairfechan does lie very flat and on an area with a big tidal range (how far it goes out) so larger tides are not overly recommended on this particular beach. It comes in and goes out very quickly, the tide we fished was a small to medium tide and so let us fish the low tide approx 45-1hr before turning and flooding in and it doesnt go as far out either so not much fear of heavy muddy patches. Bare in mind again with it being so flat and the type of area it is, can be muddy (deep mud too so be very careful) Sorry for the long answer but prefere to give you as much info as I easily can. Tightlines mate and all the best Tim & Dave.

    Have you ever fished in sweellies for bass? Menai strait

    • @FindingFishUK
      @FindingFishUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      We have not, but no marks are off the cards for the future, nearly the whole length of the Menai (if accessible) is teaming with Bass so I'm told and know 😉 so we probably need to fish it soon, we are tempted with a Cod session on the Menai this winter too but next summer/Autum is likely the best time for us to target the silver bars on the Straits. Thanks so much for your comment, by all means also let us know some marks if you know any good ones and your experience of the Straits if you like. All the best pal.

    Lovely videos m8. I bet you know all the good spots for bass fishing at north wales. Don't u

    • @FindingFishUK
      @FindingFishUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment but honestly pal, Bass are caught all over Anglesey, if its a long sandy beach theres a good chance of a Bass. As you will see in our next video, Bass are even caught in the River Mersey so an estuary is also a great habitat for Bass. Bass visit and feed in many different areas of our shores its all about getting out and having a go for them. A good few beaches to try in North Wales and Anglesey are Pensarn, Llanfairfechen, Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay. Hope you can find some too. All the best pal.

    • @FindingFishUK

      @Mumtaz Zafar 100% you can pump worm at all those beaches.

    • @FindingFishUK
      @FindingFishUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Mumtaz Zafar we use fixed spool reels of all makes, some are cheap Chinese manufactured ones some second hand Penn,Shimano and Diawa some £7 reels we rotate them but we don't spend lots of money on reels. We have a £60 yuki reels each but not as good as the cheaper ones in our opinion.
