Just a tip....
If you put boiling water in your thermos for about 15 minutes, dry it with towel and then put food in everything will stay hot longer. I let it set while I cook up the food I’m putting in it. It really does make a difference

I feel like there is a bit of an unspoken rule when it comes to children and eating. Aslong as they are not complaining they are still hungry or leaving a lot of the food behind, it’s the perfect amount for them.

I’ve used your lemon juice trick! It works great. I can use the same lemon all week and you can’t taste any difference. I’ve done it with pears too.

3:58 maybe you were looking for the word early bird
I have an awesome tip I learned about cutting apples and them not turning brown. So you cut up as many apples as you want, then put them in a bowl of cold water with salt. let the apples sit in the salt water for an hour to two hours then you rense thoroughly to get all the salt off them.. then you can store them in your fridge already cut for at last 5 days. And no they do not taste like salt..
Also you can do honey and water and soak the apples like you do with the lemon and water..
This motivates me to pack my lunch

Oatmeal with fruit/yogurt/or honey on the side could be good as well!
I've done overnight oats in my kids thermos with berries and yoghurt and it works really well for a hot day lunch
