I love Watchin these videos just to see everyone complain, and try to brag how much better they are at it. you'll never find 2 guys that shift exactly the same way. just cause you do it your way, don't make it wrong. ya get the job done !
100 percent right. I find the people who chirp the most only hav a TH-cam account just to type shit. People who chirp the most should post a vid of them shifting n tag me in it I want to see
Tim May exactly, I've found every truck shifts different, and you shift different depending on whether you are light, heavy, empty, bobtail, level ground, incline or decline
You have the diesel pumping through you man! Your a natural & have the feel / coordination that few drivers have nowadays. it's plain to see that splitting all the low gears as well is only for demo purpose. Well done from an old fella from Ireland!
I drive pretty much thr exact same truck, except mine has a Cat C15 with twin stacks and straight pipes. Fucking thing sounds mean...you can hear me coming from a mile away. I love it.
Tim May I love it too....everyone can drive better than him! everyone is better! but my money is on him...the guy is high on life, and seems to be enjoying, must be why everyone is offended!
+james moore A big compliment for your suuuuper videos..... they are realy awesome !!!!!!!!!!!! BIGLIKE :))))) All the best for you..... and never stop..... ;) Best regards from midwest germany :D
And trucks are built to haul weight. When you are loaded to the max you need em all. By this video it's obvious by the speed of upshifting there is no load, therefore you don't need all the gears. Your legs comparison doesn't work...
you remind me of me I HATE CAMERAS lol don't look damn thing is still on, Fuck still on, don't look.....shiit..... lol awesome video love that turbo spool
+james moore I know how you feel. I'm 6 foot 4 and a friend of mine has a 1996 model Kenworth T601 (I know it's an Australian model but same difference) and I haven't got much head room at all even sitting int he passenger seat!
Sometimes a seatbelt is the reason you die in a crash :D especially if you drive dump trucks in the forests or small areas fall off a side of the road etc
No ... Cats you have to shift a lot quicker look it up... you can obviously hear it in this video and do you drive trucks ? how do you know ? he's driving I believe he would know which ones shift quicker
Marquis well I have a 550 isx before that I drove trucks with cat engines. A lot easier to shift this guy is splitting all the bottom gears which makes it look a lot quicker. He must be empty to because when he stops he starts out 2nd
in this vid i was loaded its is a tri axle dump truck loaded with sand i used all the gears for vid sake i was all on flat ground no hills yes useless to use alll the gears i agree personally to me driving trucks with cummins engines id rev higher n quicker cummins doesnt seem to be a low end torque type of motor and same with detroit not saying u cant shift cummins or detroit at lower rpms. i just believe it should be spun little more than a cat engine. cat engines like this one in the vid work mint shifting 1200 to 1800rpm cat doesnt seem like the high rpms. cats seem to hav way better low end torque just my two cents
chico montana you have to watch out in your mirrors and back and forth at all times driving a rig that a car like yours would get ran over if the big rig driver is lazy and dont watch out for stupid 4 wheelers.
You're taking valuable life away from that box with all the splitting on the low side. Let the engine do some of the work. Drive it like a 13 speed unless you heavy haul.
+Jnevone DSF It is yes. It does have a different gear ratio than a 10 speed. lol. Unless you are hauling in the mountains, you don't really need to use all 18, you can shift it like a 13. He floats really good to be honest, he's not jamming it out of gear and into the next one, it's done smoothly, no grinding done. If you watch in the beginning, as he's taking off, he couldn't get it out of gear, and instead of forcibly taking it out of gear, he pushes the clutch in. There's probably some wear and tear on that transmission, but its normal.
Dylan Meinhardt I'm 100% floater all day, u know besides first and reverse, but uh dump trucks are very different from tractors as far as working the truck, the gears switching is the same, but I just never driven an 18 speed and I see a lot of switching in every gear and wanted to know what was that about.
+Jnevone DSF it's more for heavier weight. My brother used to drive dump truck when he came off of the road for a couple of year to be local. When I wasn't in school and he had to work, he'd take me with him. He taught me how the shift pattern for a 10 speed, I memorized, then one day when I went with him, he just emptied is dump bed, and told me to get in the drivers seat, I had the floating concept down when I was 10. It was on a 1990's KenWorth. Then a couple kast summer, when school got out, I went on the road with him, he's back to OTR. We were staying the night where he gets his trailer loaded in Alsip, Illinois, when he told me to drop the trailer so we could bobtail to the gas station up the road to go to the bathroom if needed and grab a couple things while we were there. When we got back to his trailer, he saw he had some extra time on his DOT, and he taught me how to drive a 10 speed again. It was year since I drove a semi. It wasn't as easy as it was in the KW dump truck.

Tim May 😂😂 Bingo
Let them chirp just ignore bro great job.
Got to love the sound of a C15 straight pipe.
You are a very skilled driver ..coming from Jamaica. Big up
hey thanks much appreciated lee
You are welcome man
james moore what’s up instagram
Man!!! You can drive a big truck!!! Love your shifting and down shifting and jakes!!!!
I like shifting trucks at a low RPM and nice and easy but you did a very good job man
Love that deep rumble from a cat motor
you gave me bad memories of my factory kw seat. love my legacy seat. love my c15. but fed up sick and tired of living on the road....
0307 0307 go local, that's what I did a month ago, and I love it, still get to drive a rig, and home every day, win win
lol I was going to say the same thing. That seat sucks and makes the ride very uncomfortable.
You have the diesel pumping through you man! Your a natural & have the feel / coordination that few drivers have nowadays. it's plain to see that splitting all the low gears as well is only for demo purpose. Well done from an old fella from Ireland!
Excellent shifting.
thanks
I drive pretty much thr exact same truck, except mine has a Cat C15 with twin stacks and straight pipes. Fucking thing sounds mean...you can hear me coming from a mile away. I love it.
get some vids of it
james moore wish I could go on the road with u all the time
then how is it the same
This is a great engine sound
I like watching how too change gears and use'ing the high and low ratio..
Got to love them keyboard Warriors Just enjoy the video don't be judge judgemental.
Nice Demo and Driving 😎👍🏼
That's how I drive. You gotta feel all the gears.
He shifts good just uses to many of the gears not needed . But a great smooth shifter.
i only shift every gear mostly for vids some people like seeing all the gears sounds better
Great video I did enjoy it you really shift smooth .
thank u
Smooth shifting, great job
Love your videos bro sweet sound 🔊 of a 🐱💯dope driving 👊🏿
nice sound.. good job jammes
Tim May I love it too....everyone can drive better than him! everyone is better! but my money is on him...the guy is high on life, and seems to be enjoying, must be why everyone is offended!
Badass smooth shifting 👍
him can shift quick flash shifter this guys name !!!!, good driving man
..... the shifter is a litle bit shorter, but the seating position is always very relaxed.... cool job James !!! ;)
Thanks buddy. Ya this kW dump truck the driver only wanted 6inch extension. Nothing like I roll with haha
+james moore
A big compliment for your suuuuper videos..... they are realy awesome !!!!!!!!!!!! BIGLIKE :))))) All the best for you..... and never stop..... ;) Best regards from midwest germany :D
gotta let that engine do some work. Cant do it when ya splittin in low range.
Aidan Wood gears are there for a reason.. use them.. u got 2 legs right.. try using one only then..
And trucks are built to haul weight. When you are loaded to the max you need em all. By this video it's obvious by the speed of upshifting there is no load, therefore you don't need all the gears. Your legs comparison doesn't work...
Terry H how you know he doesn’t like driving the truck? You know some people actually like to drive right?
you remind me of me I HATE CAMERAS lol don't look damn thing is still on, Fuck still on, don't look.....shiit..... lol awesome video love that turbo spool
haha
Cats are built to pull ! Let her pull son ! Nice shifting for sure, but you're just making extra work for yourself 😊👍
6NZ the best cat engine made
ur right 6NZ the best cat made ill agree its modern it has mild amount of sensors n one computer to operate also it being pre emission.
I drive a tri-axle 379 Pete with a 550 cat with the heavy haul ecm tune with a 18spd I love it
Great! People say you cannot downshift or shift at all, well I didn't you have to rev the engine more than 2 times so lmao thats great.
going uphill its normal to rev the engine with heavy load
That’s how you get her done YEEYEE
So incredible
Badass jake brake 😎
Shift them gears driver 💪🏽
Love laos😎
Tight squeeze in there
0:34 its sounds like every gear has same ratio
6nz baby
huge fan of your vids, sometimes when I float gears I have trouble getting it to release from the gear, any advice?
Jared G start pulling out as you're letting off the throttle. There's a point where it will 'let it go'..
this guy is right ^^^^
I knew it...wonderful floating the gears sir
wish I could go on the road with u all the time.
Dude you look like Val Kilmer
what year is the truck
You look a little cramped in the seat there. How tall are you? lol. Nothing beats the sound of a Cat's jake brake, well except for an old Detroit.
And I noticed a little bit of Double Clutching in the beginning
im 6.2 n not really double clutching if gear feel slightly hard to pull out i clutch
+james moore not bad at all. pretty good.
+james moore I know how you feel. I'm 6 foot 4 and a friend of mine has a 1996 model Kenworth T601 (I know it's an Australian model but same difference) and I haven't got much head room at all even sitting int he passenger seat!
Well I fact it's the Kenworth in my profile pic on the left ;P
C15😍
All I can say is great floating u do
thank u sir
That would sound alot better if you had 165000 on and then that engine would be working
0:22 wouldn't she go in ??
seat belt violation
lol theres not many that wear it in trucks
Sometimes a seatbelt is the reason you die in a crash :D especially if you drive dump trucks in the forests or small areas fall off a side of the road etc
Big deal!! DOT don't see if you're wearing your seat belt or not when you're blowing by the open scale!!
@Stephen Sullivan You
Alright keep it up!! STEPHEN SULLIVAN
Prefer the newer vids with the oranguten shifter on the ceiling
T800?
yes
Love cats but you gotta shift faster than Cummings sounds better to me though
yes cats are low rev shifting motors cummins u hav to wined out bit more
james moore cummins you ave to shift a lot quicker because your rpm drop off so fast.
No ... Cats you have to shift a lot quicker look it up... you can obviously hear it in this video and do you drive trucks ? how do you know ? he's driving I believe he would know which ones shift quicker

just my two cents
Bet you feel cool splitting every dam gear and using jakes when not even going fast. Cool bro
Hey look it's Jake rider
Have you ever drove a Pete ?
or Freightliner ?
peter no shaker yes
Is this straight piped?
Not true straight pipe but has mufflers with nothing in them trust me
+james moore I see. It sounds freakin amazing. Gotta say I've watched this video every day for like the past week, can't get enough of it!
+TruckerForEternity right on man I like to hear comments like urs 👍🏻
hollowed out mufflers
Love it
who the hell splits low gears
fordcrazy460 probably just demonstrating the 18spd.
yes thats right just splitting all gears for video sake
fordcrazy460 because he in the land of " merica"
GM Soul nope wrong land
+GM Soul He in Toronto.
It's weird see you shift a normal shifter, the tall ones look cooler
Kinda nice once in a blue moon but yes it is wired lol
+james moore it doesn't look like ur clutching at all I'm confused
He's floating the gears. A lot of truck drivers do it.
+Patrick Hilton o ok i see
What does this guy keep looking for someone watching to wave and he can't downshift just saying
chico montana Perhaps he's watching his trailer like he's supposed to be doing.
no trailer just a jump truck
was in tight spot n was watching rear end
cant down shift eh u hav a channel make a vid n i want to see u throw some gears
chico montana you have to watch out in your mirrors and back and forth at all times driving a rig that a car like yours would get ran over if the big rig driver is lazy and dont watch out for stupid 4 wheelers.
james moore seriously dude you have an ugly upper lip and you should find a new career for unrelated reasons.
want some practice
Seatbelt?
You're taking valuable life away from that box with all the splitting on the low side. Let the engine do some of the work. Drive it like a 13 speed unless you heavy haul.
in this vid i was heavy loaded with sand
where the hell is your seat belt?
You dont show the truck next to you getting away from you at the lights by splitting everthing in the bottom box.
Talk dude and explain yourself dam.
What's he need to explain? It's not a how to video. Just a video of a awesome sounding CAT, and some an image on how floating should be done.
Dylan Meinhardt Isn't that an 18?

...and another LoRider/SuperTrucker with his arse on the floor.
Hate people who just run jakes for no reason
shut up idiot
go back for the cummins bro
Shifter isn't tall enough
Thats a simulator, friend had one in his room
shut up idiot its not a simulator
@Stephen Sullivan dumbass, he said that was a simulator, this was not a question

This guy must be a liberal
Gay
