However if that technology company abuses voluntary consent to put the consumer in dangerous situation then that is case for law suit.

Simply turning off your location doesn't mean you are not tracked. Your cellular company . Your Internet Service Provider. Your IP .. etc can track your location even if you turn off you GPS location.

We have subjected ourselves in the hands of google products irrespective of our willingness. Users privacy is at the mercy of google and not in our hands. For example, google can track you wherever you go without your knowledge. Although there is an option to opt out of such tracking. but how a smartphone user who is digitally illiterate can do so if he has no such technical know how. Cheap smart phones and internet have made them accessible to millions who have sufficient knowledge gap to use it. They have been trapped by google and unwillingly making it available their private aspect of life. For example, if you have just allowed an application for your location tracking, and forgets to set it off, you are open to google as it will keep you tracking wherever you go even if your internet is switched off. This is done for the primary purpose of understanding your traits that can be helpful to interpret your interests in different products and services. This data is used by google to display ads of your interest so to let advertisers get high cpc. If google says that apart from this, it does not use users data for any other purpose, then to a greater extend, that can be believed. However, google itself is not immune of hackers and if it has such a vast data available for various demography, they will be undergoing through constant attack by hackers and even just for their sole success, millions of users data can be breached and so their privacy. That's the major concern.
