Ignerence, your oil change video and this impeller/wear ring video have the perfect combination of doing things right, while also being practical without getting bogged down by doing things exactly by the book, e.g. worrying about the 20 lbs*ft torque spec on the assembly, using the exact, BRP-specified, unicorn-tears bearing grease, etc. Cheers!

Great video! I installed the Solas 12/17. I could only tell a small difference until I added a custom tune to the ECU. : ) Why didn't you install a Stainless Steal wear ring?
Ted Harris felt like it hooked better, and my RPM's dropped ~1000 rpm at top speed. I need to gps the top speed but if anything it only was slightly faster.

hey, is It normal that there are scratches around the impeller ? I mean the plastic around it? what happened with the old impeller ? Did you hit some wood ?
you did good tutoria , I have a turbo GTI but I want to have everything but not Aser with the connection of the computer because it is different ie the connections of my new computer is different from what I have enmi factory gti
I ended up buying the 12/17 Solas and cannot tell a difference between the stock impeller and the new one. Cant get it over 50mph, bottom end feels the same. I have almost every bolt on aftermarket part besides an intake grate. Might go with skat trak after this one gets old.

Your post sparked an interest because I find myself pondering getting a new impeller and other mods, but fear I will spend hundreds with an uncertain level of performance increase. Any thoughts? +Ted H Yes Ted, I have a aftermarket intake/filter, water box, exhaust pipe, tuner, SS wear ring and impeller. Most of the mods increased the acceleration. The impeller is a good place to start due to it being cheaper also a wear ring to go with it. I bought all my performance parts before I even rode it on the water so I cant comment on the difference in stock vs modified.
Mike R Too be 100% honest, I have seen a lot of people say the Solas side by side with stock 90hp machines have tied in races. I tried the skat, until I can get beside a solas, or stock 90hp spark all I can say is it feels good. It lowered the rpms at full throttle quite a bit though.
Ignerence What tune are you running or is it 90hp stock software? I have the MAP Tuner so I can set mine at either 110hp gasoline or the 120hp E85 tune. If you are running the stock 90hp or 110hp gasoline tune, going with the 120hp E85 tune will work excellent with a prop that hooks up more than the stock prop did. E85 builds more torque than gasoline can and the additional hp will turn a higher pitch prop more easily equalling a good holeshot and higher mph on the big end :)
Mike R I run the 110hp tune and 91 octane. Up here in Canada where I ride there is no reliable source for E85 or I would run that tune for sure. Still debating the turbo one day, but for this summer I'll just run her this way! :)
