I have about 200 questions to get through today and 14 hours of studying left, yet the minute this dropped, I stopped everything to take a breather. Vir was right, authenticity is something fans really honor because I wouldn't be doing this otherwise.
vir is an actual expert at what he does i teared up at the end of his new special just because i genuinely felt the love he had for this art form. this conversation was nice to listen to
At this point I have seen more Vir Das interviews/podcasts than comedy specials, still somehow this felt fresh and insightful. Kudos to Kenny for pulling this off !!!
Consistency, preparation, and responsibility towards their audience - this seems like an overwhelming theme in this dialogue. Been a fan of Vir Das since the first time I listened to him. Thank you Kenny for this conversation and for this platform that you created!
To loosing to a guy in the start (unplanned) of your comedy carrier to having the same guy in your show. You have come a long way kenny. Proud of you 🙏
Damn i came in thinking vir das not that funny, gonna be a boring podcast. But GODAMM he has the most INTERESTING journey. Loved this podcast. Kenny you're awesome. Vir das you got a new fan.
It was so good to hear about their lives! Listening to Vir was so thought provoking and inspiring. Great job Kenny! Two of my favourite entertainers 🌻🥹
25:13 - to answer Vir's "back me up here" - Not being a comic I enjoy watching when you walk into the green room. Amongst the people who have been doing comedy only recently - there's at least one person who does not know how to break the ice, and one person who wouldn't want to because they're just happy listening. Amongst the ones who've been in this for a while - everyone enjoys a good catch up session and it's chill but I can feel as Kenny said some "spine straightening" 🤣 Nobody wants you to have a last memory of them which would be anything other than - that one's cool. It's not like the school Principal has come to hang out but more like someone who can be a doorway to immense wisdom and experience in the field. Thanks Kenny for having this lovely conversation with Vir. It was a pleasure watching you guys talk at the shoot and watching it again on TH-cam. Lots of love.
Kenny asking amazing questions as a learning blueprint for his own already great comedy + Vir's insightful answers as a seasoned veteran who is still learning and is not afraid to take risks is magic ❤️
The nakedness and the authenticity Vir bhaiya brings to the table is commendable. Learned a lot from it. Very informative very freshing and very genuine and real talk. Loved it and love yaaa Kenny always🫀you were like the toppers kid who got a chance to sit with a senior who had taken an examination and now you have to go through the same. 😂😭 loved your curiosity and damn awesome content. Thenk youuu for this🙏
I missed this intro so much ♥️ I don't know how you find the time to work on videos when you're on a world tour. You really are something else! Amazing Kenny!😃 Love your dedication ! I don’t really know Vir Das but his last show on netflix was so intense! I respect him a lot for his opinions and for his courage. A fascinating guy. It was nice to see you together on screen. Thank you for this new episode :)
1 hour felt like 10 minutes.. 2 nicest comedians in 1 frame.. Absolutely amazing.. ✌🏼 The QnA & whole conversation is pretty much intense yet very insightful & fruitful because of such enormous experience you guys carry in the same field. I totally loved this one. 👍🏼
@@KennySebastian The pleasure's all mine Kenny.. 😅 I most certainly watch everything you both upload on your respective channels.. 🤝🏼 Keep coming up with more of such amazing content bro 👍🏼👍🏼
Was watching vir das interview on RANVEERs channel a few days back , and there was so much toxicity there. Everyone appreciating vir das in these comments is so nice and wholesome.
Same experience here. You can tell the intellect difference between kennies fans and Ranveer’s. Kinda sad tho cuz most of Ranveer’s fanbase is around the age I’m at. Teenagers
I didn't know you had an episode with vir. Thank you for making this Kenny ❤ and for all your podcasts. They make adulting tasks much easier and I get to learn a lot about life in general. Keep doing this and much love
revisiting simple ken! sometimes I cannot relate to the conversations on here but listening to them helps me ponder on situations I would not normally think about and in some way have a better mindset and outlook on everyday life. Thank you for having different opinions on here, including yours, and putting these videos out there. Loved every second of this one :)
Watching this after watching Netflix special of Kenny Sebastian and Vir Das, his( Vir Das )last bit wherein he shares "beaten up in boarding school with hockey stick " experience emphasising on Power of mic when he was 8 yo boy , had similar experience sir of beaten!!
#simpleken I am Arya and i turned 21 yesterday and long story short i dropped out of school in 11th to pursue photography, 4 years ago it was a pretty new thing for me and i asked my friend for his dslr for a year and graciously he lent it to me and spent the year just roaming around delhi clicking photographs, at that time all i ever wanted to do was take photographs, travel and meet new people which is a very naive way of thinking but oh well i was invincible i thought i'll make it work somehow. Fastforward to 2021 got a job and signed a contract for architecture photography i travelled all over India and met new people. Basically everything i wanted to do when i first started doing photography but along the way somehow the joy of photography died. It wasn't fun anymore, just another job. What do you do when you feel this? How do you overcome and rekindle that feeling and excitement of creating again ?
Such a deep & beautiful conversation between you two ☺️ Both of you are my favourite Made my day.. If you take my question thank you so much in advance. The question keep raising in my mind & I'm struggling to find the actual answer .. I'd like to hear your perspective .. on this.. How to not get stuck in past.. I mean past incidents.. trauma.. or even good overwhelming times.. that got stuck in your head and you're unable to get out of that bubble.. With time people changes.. situation changes.. and we know we have to get going but sometimes those things hold you back .. how to just let go & live freely?
Always wanted to comment and tell you how good you are! But never got around to doing it. Commenting now because this has been your best episode so far. You should have continued the episode till wherever it took you! It seemed like you’ll were having a great time and I’m sure I speak for all your fans when I say, so were we all ❤️ Two true icons :)
Vir has had a great career, especially because it was made by scrubbing off overhyped unsmart poorly written jokes yet he came so far!! So inspirational!!
This was such an amazing and intersting conversation ❣️❣️ love how Kenny was like a student in a classroom with a legendary teacher..... I learnt a lot too❣️❣️ lovely it was
Oh wow! When did this happen? I am so sorry I missed it. I am definitely watching this. Right after finishing my work. My favourite comedians together.
BHAIIIIIIIIIIII, TH-cam WHAT THE HELL?????! HOW CAN YOU NOT GIVE ME THE NOTIFICATION FOR TWO OF THE SMARTEST COMEDIANS WHO I LOOOOOUUUUUUUUVEEEEEEEE???????!!! 3 DIN BAAD YAAD AA RAHA H INKO.
Such a surreal episode 🤍 there are ton of people to criticize Vir Das but only few can beat his content/witty-ness he brings to stage! 🙌 Side note: noways does he look above 40 😂
Oh This was such a heartfelt long recording of you guys talking! Thank you for being amazing!! And very insightful!!! I'm a poet and I've published an anthology, but to let people know about it's existence, I need to do Open Mics for Poetry or recond videos and post on social media, since that seems to be the marketing style right now, but as soon as the recording button hit, I get vert nervous and conscious and loose my voice, how do you think one can improve that? The fear of getting mocked, I hating looking at myself, and when you record you look at yourself, so it gets very weird. Any thoughts? #SimpleKen
Hey Kenny. I am glad you spoke about the National conversation question to Vir. I have loved your work but always had one gripe. The fact that you hold the microphone gives you a responsibility and a voice to opine on shit that matters. That's my opinion. And taking that to make a difference makes you a responsible accountable artist. Life isn't white. Art isn't white. I hope we all find the strength to accept the hate, the negetivity the unfairness and talk about it. Talking especially when people are listening is important i think. Having said that, have your opinions changed about why you "don't joke about politics"? Btw loved the AUTHENTICITY. This long recording of you talking has been my mental health break for the past year now and i feel like it's a warm hug. I thoroughly enjoy this homely vibe ❤️ #simpleken
Oh God no. Kenny doesn't because it's his choice and I'm glad he stands by it. Not to mention It's very annoying for those who don't agree with, your political and social beliefs. It's like preaching Ramayana to an audience. Some may love it, for the rest it's unbearable.
I have about 200 questions to get through today and 14 hours of studying left, yet the minute this dropped, I stopped everything to take a breather. Vir was right, authenticity is something fans really honor because I wouldn't be doing this otherwise.
Padhle bhai
no shit bhai padhai karle
NEET PG?🥲
padh le bhai
I think u don't like to have eyebrows 🥲
this man is so transparent with his art form, it is truly inspirational. Thank you Kenny for bringing him
vir is an actual expert at what he does i teared up at the end of his new special just because i genuinely felt the love he had for this art form. this conversation was nice to listen to
At this point I have seen more Vir Das interviews/podcasts than comedy specials, still somehow this felt fresh and insightful. Kudos to Kenny for pulling this off !!!
I liked watching kenny just fangirl over vir dass, just trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible
23:38 Kenny says "...touchwood..." and Vir actually does it. Quite wholesome!
Consistency, preparation, and responsibility towards their audience - this seems like an overwhelming theme in this dialogue. Been a fan of Vir Das since the first time I listened to him. Thank you Kenny for this conversation and for this platform that you created!
Deep and intellectual conversations are so heartfelt.
🙂 in my head, this reads as Spider-Man Mets Tony Stark
Haha perfect!
Yeahhhh ohmyyy sooo true!
Totaly. Sooooo cute .. it's amazing that only we can understand the cuteness in this comment n I can't explain this to my family
My fav 2 comedians together chatting what a lovely day 🧡🧡
The nice guy energy between both of them is so cute.
To loosing to a guy in the start (unplanned) of your comedy carrier to having the same guy in your show.
You have come a long way kenny.
Proud of you 🙏

"At your worst, you still gotta seem prepared." Oh boy, that's my takeaway. 💯
My two best comedians in one frame. Thank you so much Kenny for inviting Vir.
Vir is so damn hardworking man , always makes me feel like I'm not doing enough and motivates me to do more and better !
Okay, this man doesn't look 43! But on a serious note, what a genuine and free-flowing conversation between my 2 favs!
It was so good to hear about their lives! Listening to Vir was so thought provoking and inspiring. Great job Kenny! Two of my favourite entertainers 🌻🥹
Vir Das on Kenny's and Conan's podcast on the same day !! This is amazing

Having lunch and listening to this conversation! Just simple as it gets!

I can watch this all day. No idea where an hour went by, god!
Was watching vir das interview on RANVEERs channel a few days back , and there was so much toxicity there. Everyone appreciating vir das in these comments is so nice and wholesome.
Why?
Same experience here. You can tell the intellect difference between kennies fans and Ranveer’s. Kinda sad tho cuz most of Ranveer’s fanbase is around the age I’m at. Teenagers
More than his comedy, I'm a fan of Vir's Journey. 👏
Two of my favourites for whole one hour 🤌
