Hey Kenny.. this is coming from a 16 y/o.. due to the stress of boards I have been experiencing way more panic attacks and feeling a lot more lonely lately and sometimes I just needed someone to keep talking instead of expecting me to engage in conversation because I am usually very introverted.. your podcast has been helping me get through bad days and I really appreciate it.. thanks a lot!
have fun at school , do bit of everything . just focus on your 12th boards as it'll decide if you get any scholarship whatsoever . it'll take the stress off your parents by a lot.
51:25 Kenny says technology hasn't reached the point to see the drawings on the podcast. Technology also hasn't reached the point to see the drawings on your video. :P Anywhoo, enjoyed the banter between you two and the episode !
I’m in my early 20s and I just love that there are such cool people like you on the Internet and I can just listen to you talking about important topics! Thanks for the podcast! 💝
you know the best part about these long recordings is that you see, 2 very sucessful people in their fields being authentic and super real and even accepting that their success doesn't mean that they are inevitably secure in their art. It gives us listeners a sense of calmness that even though we might feel uneasy over our present situations, it's okay, becuase insecurity over your art doesnt necessarily mean that you are bad at it, it just means that you are ready to improve and work more on it. Whenever I watch a simpleken episode, what i do see is that, artists who are at top of their game rn, in their truest form are simple people who enjoy the same things as us. And the best part about this feeling is that it gives me a sense of welcomeness and makes me realise that the people you look upto are at the end of the day wholesome people who are ready to welcome newbies into the game and give them their support. That is what I love about you guys. Thankyou for this feeling of calmness and welcomeness. Love this concept, keep it rolling!
How impressive is it that Biswa answered Kenny's liberal arts questions so accurately at 4:50 ? #simpleken en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal_arts_education
I loved the podcast a lot! But I watch quite a few comedians and I feel like this brought out the difference between collectivistic and individualistic societies. India (or Asia as a whole) cultivating the collectivistic mindset - and us growing up in that environment, has led us to believe that yea, we're built to start a family - which I think is great. From an individualistic view though, I feel like some would argue they don't want kids at all because they believe the complete opposite - that they weren't built to have a family and all that. They'd rather focus on themselves/their career etc. - this is because in the western culture (which is where people are raised in a more individualistic way), they're taught to live for themselves, so they don't feel the need to start a family. I just felt the need to write/point that out, the podcast was great to watch though!
Hi Kenny, (I don’t know if you will pick this question or not because you have already answered one of my question in your previous episodes, but I guess I will never know if I don’t try. So here goes nothing 😏) I liked the fact that you talked about, I guess the pros, of getting older. During my freshman year of college I learned this theory in our Developmental Psychology class, which is the one thing that has stayed with me after that class, called The Socioemotional selectivity theory, which is a life-span theory of motivation. The theory maintains that as time horizons shrink, as they typically do with age, people become increasingly selective, investing greater resources in emotionally meaningful goals and activities. Which also explain why my grandparents live life to the fullest 😌, they wear what they want, say what they want, while also trying to support their family and only spending time with people that they care about. Which is something that I actually find comfort in and I don’t mind getting older. I recently finished my Pre-Nursing degree and am waiting to get accepted into the nursing program that I like. Meanwhile I am also working full-time as an assistant manager, while also being a part-time student. I often find myself in situations where people around me make me think that I am focusing too much on money/work and that I am not ‘enjoying’ my life. Because they think that I should just take more days off and just act like a 20 year old, whatever that means. But, honestly as cringy as this may sound, but I really like working and being productive with my time. And I also find joy in spending more time with myself, like whenever I am painting, driving (while listening to old Bollywood music) or even when I workout (while listening to long-recording-of-you-talking). I think that is the time when I reflect on my day and find some clarity in my mind. That IS my ENJOYMENT. So my question is 🙋🏻♀️, Do you think that people can find peace/success in any stage of their lives? (Success in this case is very subjective to individuals) And when they do so, because of others they start to doubt their own definition of success? And if yes, have you ever faced this problem and have ever been doubtful about your life choices because of people around you didn’t agree that you have achieved your goal, that YOU set for yourself in the first place? Thank you and oh! say hi to Tracy for me 🙋🏻♀️. #simpleken
Hi Kenny, I have been following Simple Ken since 2020. It has been lovely to follow you along your journey as a comedian, content creator, and now a podcaster! I really enjoy the format of your long recording. I especially enjoyed listening to today's questions, having thought about them often as I'm arriving at the beginning of my 30s! As soon as you mentioned that you and BIswa were going to start drawing, I had to switch from Spotify to youtube! It was certainly more fun to see you both draw and break down the questions that came in! Looking forward to more of Simple Ken! Appreciate all the content that you have made so far and am excited to listen in on more of your long recordings; they have kept me sane during the pandemic. Cheers!
Biswa just says things as they are... great ability to explain things too... the bit about artist not growing after they become famous and hence due to the lack of growth we as audience feel they are shitty was so awesome, even his take on success was too good. Also great work Kenny... love your work. Your discussion on the topic that a person should follow their dreams(in one of the earlier episodes) only when they start earning them the same amount as their current job was such a pragmatic answer. You didn't romanticise the popular follow your dreams stuff but gave everyone a practical realistic answer. That answer was an eye opener(even though I knew it inside) coming especially from an artist like you(I am an IT engineer btw with more than 10years of experience in the field... lol). Lots of love. When is your next standup in Mumbai happening? I have never seen you live and would love to do so... please if possible keep it on a weekend... Thanks
Hi Kenny, The reason why it is with comedians that their content reduces over time once they become famous is because when they were struggling, they could turn anything into comedy. Like struggle or lack of fame made them savage to make a joke out of everything. But now that they're famous, they're actually in a safe zone and in that zone the driving force that brought savagery or comedy has vanished all of a sudden!? Just a thought. It would be good if you could put some light on it.
Transcendental humor- what they went through they shared in the form of humor --- until they were doing that ... they were relatable to the people who shared the same safar too...... I guess ... any comedian CAN keep remaining to be a good one - as long as they're 'sharing' they're 'journey' be it of 'chai making' 😉 or anything .... and as you rightly said, it's them 'protecting their safe zone' and hence being stuck n limited to that - is what that, obviously, dis connects the cord they had built by the virtue of them sharing .. and hence they stop, for that while, being a comedian ..... But obviously all this is as transient as that comedian understanding that it is a comedian ..and .. has to keep sticking to that virtue ...

Hey Kenny! Always been a fan of you! Love your comedy! My question is Should there always be a purpose of life? Why can't we just be and do nothing and still be happy. Do some job, eat , watch and sleep. Is it mandatory to have goals in life? What if we are just cheating ourselves trying to imagine that there is always a mission to accomplish. I am a career oriented person but sometimes i feel all this is useless we are just chasing some imaginary goal that noone would care the moment we die.
Fun fact: the Van Gogh tragedy is a bit of a myth. Van Gogh didn’t actually die poor - he had already started to sell art, I think he was managing someone’s art gallery, too. His brother supported his asylum stay. So he wasn’t broke. But more than that, so totally enjoyed this rich conversation! Kompani kalam was such a great point. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Made my evening richer. Thanks you two!
I absolutely agree with Kenny’s definition of success…that’s how I see it 😂😂 ..it’s like asking yourself everyday, will the money keep flowing in even if I just sit around etc? so 🙌 Kenny!!
Missing maths aadmi... 🥺 nice to see you both, Kenny and Biswa!! Married men in the room wooo, congrats all around! Loved this episode. I listened first with audio-only and now ofc I need to come full circle and watch the video version hahah. Much love 💖
Thanks for your Simple Ken sessions, Kenny! The conversation flows and feels effortless for the listener, that I listen to you guys speak while working latenight (for university), and it makes me feel calm like I'm surrounded by my friends :)
Hey Kenny, thank you for doing Simple Ken - especially the episodes where you bring guests. Love the conversations. I have a question regarding how you or artists who do well enough to earn a living doing art view their careers. I have a career in technology and while it pays well, I find most people around me do their tech jobs because it provides them money and their plan is usually to work really hard for 2 decades and retire early and maybe do something they like doing at that point, with no worry about earning a living from it. Since you already love what you do for a living, would you ever stop doing it? Or would you downscale at some point? Thank you and I hope I get to see you perform live some day! I would also pay to see a Simple Ken taped live :D Cheers, Guru
For me success is living a wholesome life, like whenever you feel you are lagging behind in an area of life, catch it right there and get to work, you deserve to be happy, self-fulfilled and enjoy a wholesome life. You can do a quarterly life analysis and take your time with it. :)
#simpleken Hey Kenny ❤️ When I was a kid I wanted all the flash light and the frame but as I'm growing old I love the privacy I'm getting! My question for you is have you ever thought after getting famous that it would have been nice if you could do what you love and still not sacrifice your privacy and do you think we can attain both privacy and fame? At some point people would demand to know what is going on in a famous person personal life! My second question is how does it feel like financial better off and how has it changed you standard of living drasticly? Thank you for making such a amazing show! Ps it would be my dream to meet you! Sending love and light ✨❤️
so happy to see u guys together... really waiting for another comicstaan. seeing u all funny people together and being friends makes me feel like i have good friends..🤪🤪 thats so weird..
Oh man, out of context “crap” sounds very harsh. I was saying crap only Cause I was talking to a friend but yeah, in proper English, his films have gradually moved away from being well written and thought out blockbuster entertainment films to more self indulgent art house films with big budgets. His association his brother as a co writer (and other co-writers) have also coincidently reduced as he has more control now. Just my person and subjective observation and opinion. Obviously we are talking about one of the best directors around but it’s pretty obvious that the more control a director he gets, they are less inclined tto fully please the audience but more tilted towards fulfilling that creative itch.
Whoa! Very insightful chat, esp the bit about defining success. I used to wonder how people watch such lengthy podcasts... I get it now, pretty interesting! just finished watching a whole episode, will go catch up with the remaining episodes Side note, loved Biswa's modern way of expressing without facial expressions - "cringe* 😂😄😄😄
Hey kenny, I am an strictly audio listener of simpleken. But I just broke the rule and watched the video version for the first time ever just to see yours and Biswa’s drawings. And they were out of focus.. can you please put those up on Instagram.. don’t play with our feelings like this..
#SimpleKen - Hey Kenny, I’ve been binge listening to long recording of you talking. It’s soothing to hear some deep insights on topics. In one of the video, you mentioned how diversified group you’ve grown up and how most of the kids were bilingual or trilingual. My question for you is what to do you think of giving importance in learning your mother tongue. As a 28 year old guy, brought up in Mumbai, I feel like whenever my relatives say some typical Gujarati word or saying, I become clueless. I feel idiot.
Adding to the point at 27:00 , for Comedians the corporates are main source of income till they make it big, for Bollywood the big budget event films finance the multi-screen type movies. Or as SRK says 'Gurbat mein creativity nahi hoti'
I've just started hearing the "long recordings of u talking" on spotify, I'm in ep 5... And I love it so much, and it's great to hear a person think 70% like me and now ik I'm not crazy. Some of it is like hearing myself, which feels super cool n awsm. You're cool. and I chumma commented in Ep 31, which I'll reach soon. And Congratulations to you n Tracy too ❤️ Happy married life. Luv y'all
I liked that drawing thing, I think it'd be nice if there was a tradition that every time a guest joins, they'd have to participate in either drawing or something competitive and at the end of the year you have a leaderboard for simpleken guests.
Just want to say, there was no point dissing about audio format saying you cant view the drawing, cause ironically the drawings weren't visible in video format as well. nevertheless, the episode was cool AF! need more episodes ft Biswa
34:33 When kenny said by the time you must have dated many people....I was like ya sure sure(lying with myself so that I can feel better about myself😭)
#simpleken It's lovely to hear a long record of you talking.. Congrats on the marriage.. My Question is.. Have you ever dated a bipolar person in general? If so.. What is your take on dating them.. and in long run marrying the person.. P.S : Hope you would pick my question.. Either way cheers for giving laughs every now and then..
As per my observations I feel the worst thing to happen to our generation is something which is extremely basic, something that has been triggered by our own intellect or hyper active senses which do not have a pre fitted filter. That something is overthinking. I feel even health is over rated because it's not about being fit or looking fit, it's actually about feeling fit even with the fat. The number of people unfit by industry standards seem to outlive those who are considered super fit. The medical system is designed to scare people to ultimately turn them into life long customers. People say they're going to adopt a healthy lifestyle by eating the right food but what about the food for the brain? The brain needs you to stop overthinking or a filter, that's the root prescription. There's absolutely nothing to be scared about in this world except your own thoughts. Thoughts are like the software which which design your hardware. So if you run too many unnecessary apps on your software, then it's more likely to slow down, overheat and possibly even attract malware which may force the system to shut down. So the best thing to do is not to overcomplicate life with overthinking, just keep it basic but ironically nowadays it's one of the hardest things to do with the constant influx of information and the feeling of being left out. The easiest way to close those unwanted apps in the brain is to focus on a plant which is one of the most complex piece of technology existing abundantly around us yet we are fascinated by the phone or laptop that we own or the next new piece of tech. We think we are the smartest beings in the planet right now but it's just an illusion, our senses trick us into believing that.
I am generally not logged in to youtube, but i just logged in here to comment and tell you. Your success definition is exactly what i believe have all the Money so that you can be lazy and than No stress, No anxiety..yipeee
#simpleken Hey Kenny, so this is a clichè question, but then, it's important for me. I'm a doctor, MBBS, completing 30 next month, and has a hardcore passion of music since I was a child (my family is that of musicians, my father used to sing for AIR, passed away in dec '21 ) Also I'm in between gigs, as in, trying for PG as I want to do music, but don't want to 100% depend economically on it, as I fear it might get in the way of my creative calls and make me compromise. Basically, back up. I was so much involved in practicing medicine also with the pandemic, that I couldn't do anything in terms of music. Now I'm planning to move to Mumbai. Also if I get a PG set there, great. I wanna "struggle" and see if I can do something in the field of music. Do you think I'm way old to start now (like practically, not those philosophical shit) am I making the right call? Does me being a woman who's shelf life is always small makes it worse? P.s- love your show, motivates me max
14:35 Don't agree with Warren Buffett there. It's all about choice. Success brings empowerment. What Warren eats, where he sleeps, what he wears is a choice that he makes. He can in a split-second decide to go the more indulgent way. A typical college kid on the other hand doesn't have a choice. That choice is what empowerment is. Quality of life I agree is a whole different agreement.
When is the right time for a professional to start sharing their personality with their social media platform? Is it even required in a platform where you can put out content after content whether it's videos, art or written work without your following even seeing your face

#simpleken Hey kenny ! Your long recordings are the best thing ever... Thanks for doing what you're doing man. I wanted to ask , did you ever feel like you'll never find love ? How did you overcome the feeling of emptiness that sometimes engulfs us when we have been alone for quite sometime. I have had my share of very terrible dating choices out of fomo when i clearly knew it wouldn't work out but i wanted to give it a try bc what if it was last chance at love. Do you feel like love comes to you or you need to make efforts to find. This whole thing drives me crazy idk how to deal w the thought of never finding someone. Thanks for reading. Please keep these recordings coming. Ilysm ❤️🌻
Hey Kenny ! (Hoping you read this in *any* consequent episode of yours) Always loved your sense of humor, but the last 2 months I've really started diving into Simple Ken; like you've said, whenever I'm like, doing some menial task during the day, it keeps me company, just love it, keep em coming!!! I might be starting a podcast on my college radio similar to this one, so....... I'll try not to resort to plagiarism I guess? XD For my question.... what's your take on procrastination? How’s life man? 31 episodes and I haven’t seen this question even once so yeah🙆
Just looking at the video to see 52 mins of u talking make me sooo happy 🌈💫😇
For me success is living a wholesome life, like whenever you feel you are lagging behind in an area of life, catch it right there and get to work, you deserve to be happy, self-fulfilled and enjoy a wholesome life. You can do a quarterly life analysis and take your time with it. :)
You've no idea how this specific comment of urs has helped me get a fresh perspective. Thanks !!
This was good, especially 2nd question's answer was articulated well!
14.47 - because quality of life ultimately comes down to the people you spend time with.

Classes khatam hone do Kenny 😌

Hey Kenny ❤️
When I was a kid I wanted all the flash light and the frame but as I'm growing old I love the privacy I'm getting!
THE LOCAL TRAIN HORN AT 22:30 LITERALLY KILLED ME
Aaaahhhhhhh!!! NEW EPISODE🥺🥺🥺❤❤❤
Loved the long recording of you.
Hearing conversation about kids, makes me wish for a conversation between Kenny and Nihilanand. 😂
so happy to see u guys together... really waiting for another comicstaan. seeing u all funny people together and being friends makes me feel like i have good friends..🤪🤪 thats so weird..
Please elaborate on Nolan making Crap @20:48
I didn't quite understand that statement
Oh man, out of context “crap” sounds very harsh. I was saying crap only
Cause I was talking to a friend but yeah, in proper English, his films have gradually moved away from being well written and thought out blockbuster entertainment films to more self indulgent art house films with big budgets.
I get it now, pretty interesting! just finished watching a whole episode, will go catch up with the remaining episodes
Side note, loved Biswa's modern way of expressing without facial expressions - "cringe* 😂😄😄😄
I love that you put time stamps! Great episode btw.
I can listen to this duo for days, months...
Hey kenny, I am an strictly audio listener of simpleken. But I just broke the rule and watched the video version for the first time ever just to see yours and Biswa’s drawings. And they were out of focus.. can you please put those up on Instagram.. don’t play with our feelings like this..
Everytime Kenny meets Biswa
Biswa : *breathes*
Kenny : hahahahahahahahha
Biswa bass voice is ASMR in itself
#SimpleKen - Hey Kenny, I’ve been binge listening to long recording of you talking. It’s soothing to hear some deep insights on topics. In one of the video, you mentioned how diversified group you’ve grown up and how most of the kids were bilingual or trilingual. My question for you is what to do you think of giving importance in learning your mother tongue. As a 28 year old guy, brought up in Mumbai, I feel like whenever my relatives say some typical Gujarati word or saying, I become clueless. I feel idiot.
@05:11 Biswa wondering - 2B or not 2B , that is the question.
Such a wholesome conversation ❤
Beautiful. Genius. Thanks.🧡
Just want to say, there was no point dissing about audio format saying you cant view the drawing, cause ironically the drawings weren't visible in video format as well. nevertheless, the
episode was cool AF! need more episodes ft Biswa
YAYY made my morning!!!
34:33 When kenny said by the time you must have dated many people....I was like ya sure sure(lying with myself so that I can feel better about myself😭)
Have waited a long time for this. ❤️😇
The podcast in short:

#simpleken
It's lovely to hear a long record of you talking.. Congrats on the marriage..
My Question is..
Have you ever dated a bipolar person in general? If so.. What is your take on dating them.. and in long run marrying the person..
P.S : Hope you would pick my question.. Either way cheers for giving laughs every now and then..
Hey Kenny and Biswa
Thanks for answering my question!
45:22 Kenny can you please answer this?
why is it terrible to leave your job to become a pilot?
I really want to know.
I feel like I grow with you! Thanks!
We didnt get to see the drawings anyway, right? It wasn't focused!
Anyway always wonderful to see you.
This one was amazing ❤❤❤
I am generally not logged in to youtube, but i just logged in here to comment and tell you. Your success definition is exactly what i believe have all the Money so that you can be lazy and than No stress, No anxiety..yipeee
Best podcast! Seeing it since episode 1
#simpleken
Hey Kenny, so this is a clichè question, but then, it's important for me. I'm a doctor, MBBS, completing 30 next month, and has a hardcore passion of music since I was a child (my family is that of musicians, my father used to sing for AIR, passed away in dec '21 )
Also I'm in between gigs, as in, trying for PG as I want to do music, but don't want to 100% depend economically on it, as I fear it might get in the way of my creative calls and make me compromise.
Did anyone understand the GTA 4 reference @35:43?
I'm completely lost
14:35 Don't agree with Warren Buffett there.
It's all about choice. Success brings empowerment. What Warren eats, where he sleeps, what he wears is a choice that he makes. He can in a split-second decide to go the more indulgent way.
A typical college kid on the other hand doesn't have a choice. That choice is what empowerment is.
Quality of life I agree is a whole different agreement.
Need a friend like Biswa in my life.
Yesss
This podcast reinforced my existential crisis
God it's gold mine out here. Keep slaying 30s mate.
When is the right time for a professional to start sharing their personality with their social media platform? Is it even required in a platform where you can put out content after content whether it's videos, art or written work without your following even seeing your face
Ken and Biswa Together are ❤❤❤
I recently started watching Simpleken even though I have been following Kenny from long time.
I find them interesting and while listening I started thinking about the topic or particular conversation and brainstorm or re think about my thoughts on it, I have to re wind and see the video again 😅
best pair to exist, fr.
#simpleken
Hey kenny !
Ilysm ❤️🌻
Oh my god i am feeling the same lately. Hope kenny sees this and answers
Also, is Ashiyaar (hope I spelled it right) still there? Tight Chaddi. Tight Butt.
Love the late night Johnny carson-esque melody to kick it off 👍
Products are not aimed at young people. It’s aimed at people who are willing or impulsive enough to spend on it.
18-34 is usually the main focus of most advertising.
@@KennySebastian That is due to the demography of who is using these platform. Bulk of successful advertising is aimed at impulsive sales.
I could watch you guys forever 😇
No you can't. You will get bored
I could totally resonate with Kenny.. my thinking is so damn same..!!! As if you were talking my mind...
So Ken remembered he has followers best notification for the mrng time
Apparently us video viewers also didn't have a lot of luck of looking at Biswa's sketching :)
