    Dear Joe
I like your new project very much. The idea and also the design of the rocket looks great. I had a very similar idea some time ago. My thought was that the aerodynamic stress on the motors controlling the fins can be reduced if only a part of the fins can be moved. So the rocket would remain more or less stable even if a part of the control system fails because the rest of the fin is fixed to the rocket (like the V2).
Looking forward to seeing more on this, an insight into the mechanics would be very interesting.
Good luck with the first flight.

I'm working on very similar project with few of my buddies but it will be a little bit bigger rocket. Also it will have 4 active stab wings up on the rocket and 4 passive wings down since we're using larger motor. We've been working on this for almost a year and it's cool to see you did it in a few months.
Good luck on the launch I'm very excited to see it fly.

Possibly using wide-ish angle lens and then cropping/tracking in post production using software? All amazing stuff, love your work!

I don't know but I see a pattern here... a pattern to space! I loved the introduction to Fineas. What type of CFD have you done? Investigated the 2D cross section of the fins against airflow at different angle of attack? I am approaching to CFD and starting from open foam, since I mostly work on open source for my everyday work on FEA. Wish you a clear flight. Ad astra per Aspera!

What do you think about a magnetic rail system which has sliding electromagnets inside the rail and an endstop switch at the top which cuts the power instantly once the rail is at the top? The rocket needs to have a small magnetic stripe inside, so not having any outer drag causing components.
Edit: I don't know much about the physics, but could that rail maybe also used as an accelerator for the rocket by releasing a weight or spinning up a motor?

A few comments as an Aircraft Design Weights Engineer. I notice the size of the many screws that you have used. They look too big to me. I think that mamy of them could be replaced with half diameter fasteners. Maybe not in all cases but that would be a nice weight saving. I also noticed the hardware for the parachute. You look to have a garden gate support on the back of the nose cone. That could be replaced with a fabric strap. You might need something of good tensile strength. Then there are the many metal links. Do an Elon and ask if they are really necessary and replace all except one with fabric links. That should save you several precious ounces.

I have an idea for an extra safety check. What if you set it so that if AVA detects a parachute failure it angles the fines to have the rocket fall in a spiral instead of coming down like a lawn dart?
