We feel like the worst parents ever! We had some miscommunication and our baby fell off the couch and hit her head! We felt so bad, but Micah was tough and only cried for a minute. Definitely a lesson to learn, and we'll be very careful next time! We don't want that to ever happen again! Luckily, she did not get hurt! We decide to finally relax a little bit after this sickness has spread among our house, and we have a mini at home spa date! We put on some facials, including the hell pore mask and a clay mask, and end the night as husband and wife, watching our favorite show together!

Friends of mine taught me a trick they use to make sure they each know who is supposed to be actively watching their kids. The parent who is currently keeping an eye on the kids but wants the other parent to take over the responsibility calls out “MARCO” The parent who is going to take over the responsibility calls out “POLO” which means they acknowledge the kids are solely their responsibility. The first parent doesn’t relinquish responsibility until they hear the polo response. It is a short hand way to clearly communicate expectations with no chance of misunderstanding.

That fall reminds me of the story my mom told me when I think I was around Micha’s age. It was nap time my mom put me in the middle of her bed pillows around me. She left the room maybe 10 seconds comes back and I’m gone. She freaked only to find me on the side of the bed under the bed a bit. I didn’t make a peep and I was fast asleep 😂. So accidents do happen. Wait till she starts walking and crawling.

Pillow walls and pillow landing zones! They are bound to fall off the couch at some point. It's kind of inevitable, right of passage. My son is 4 and he cracked his head on the car door the other day. He ended up with about a half inch slice in his scalp. There was sooo much blood. Thank God it was the weekend and my husband was home. I would have been a mess by myself in that moment. We got him checked out. No stitches thankfully, they glues it shut.

Grandpa, here....baby should be on the floor....not "sitting" on the couch....she doesn't have the skills to be trusted on the couch....on the floor, on a pallet or a blanket, she can crawl or lay on the floor....do you have one of those things they sit in and can scoot around??? just my suggestions...GOOD LUCK!!!

Oh my goodness!!! Ya, don't beat urself up guys... These things are going to happen... I dropped my lil girl while rocking her because I was way too tired and should have listened and went to sleep.. But it was my first baby and I was like no, this is my babygirl and I will take care of her.... So it was totally my fault. And she screamed like someone was hurting her... I felt sooo bad. But I listened after that. Another thing is u have to let them out in the world and they are going to get hurt and u wont be there! You will feel like never wanting them out of ur sight again! It's horrible!!!!

I notice you guys have been ill quite frequently. My friends grandmother is a herb specialist in Europe, and taught me some tricks, even though one is pretty gross. Drinking warm lemon tea (as in just boiled water and a slice of lemon) drink morning and night, no honey or any sort of sweeteners, to help soothe your throat when sick and strip your body of toxins. It also helps with inflammation bloating, and assists in weight loss. As for the sore throat, chew a small piece of raw ginger (peel off the skin, and the piece should be no bigger than the size of your thumbnail), chew the ginger for 30 seconds morning and night, just swallow the juices, the enzymes and antibodies ginger has can strip away the phlegm build up in your throat which will relieve coughing, soreness, and speed up the healing process from a cold. *if you eat too big of a piece the taste can be strong enough to make you puke, so be careful....eating the raw ginger is more effective than drinking ginger type teas, as the dried parts are stripped of its nutrients and enzymes that help when it’s raw*

I was 7 months pregnant and we came home late and we had a gate on top of our 14 stairs of our apt. So my mom was with us and she took the gate down so I didn’t have to climb over it, at the same time my husband out our 9 month old in her walker. My mom and I forgot to put the gate back up and yup she went right to the stairs. Fell down all 14 stairs and my husband saw it as he ran to grab her. We took her to the hospital and other than some rug rash in her nose she was fine and bc the walker was round she rolled side ways and it saved her from hitting her head. Needless to say we all were crying and felt horrible.
Fast forward to our son being 5 months old and our daughter daughter who is now roughly a year and a half old, she pulled our son right off of our bed and he fell flat on his face.
    Talk about bad parenting. Lol
Btw they are 26 and 27 so it worked out.

I think its just a new parenting skill to have your baby fall off the couch or off something. I felt like the worst mom when my son fell out of his infant swing. I remember running over to him in a panic, but he was fine. He cried for a little bit, but was overall ok. I felt terrible tho.

My son fell out of the sling type carrier I had him in. I was carrying groceries in the door and he literally popped out and into a large pile of towels sitting there, but onto his head! I freaked out. He cried for about 15 minutes and then was fine!

You know your a true parent if one of your children at least falls once in your care, gets hurt once, pees, poops, vomits on you, embarasses you in public, follows you to the bathroom, is a audience while your doing your business in the bathroom, walks in on you while your doing your tango in bed, tries to help cooks, throws things into the potty and tries to flush it, tries to taste the animals or pokes that their butt, takes off their diaper and clothes and runs through the house butt naked, over dramatises over the smallest drop of blood or cut, bump or bruise, refuses to eat one or many of your foods, seems to want to eat off your plate because food from your plate apparently tastes better than the same stuff on their plate, eats a booger or licks their snots as its pouring down their face when you go to wipe it as they fight you, throw a tantrum just to test you to see which parent will give in faster, try to walk around holding their bottle in their teeth and if they hear music stop long enough to shake their tiny hinny, pull your hair at least once unless its long then watch out and if you have glasses those will go to. So much to look forwards to for both of you two. Parenting is fun. It has its ups, downs, ins ,outs ,what were you thinking child , i cant believe you did that, oh no you didnt, i brought u in this world i can take you out, (i never liked that phrase), oh yeah and wait til you get to the i missed stage. Some how im still trying to figure that one out. How does a child leaned over a toilet miss vomiting in the toilet manage to get it on walls, floors, sink, tub, and it had some on the ceiling how?? How is that even possible? Not a drop in the toilet but everywhere else in the bathroom and all i get was a oops i missed. So they got a oops here is a bucket, mop, cloth have fun cleaning it next time dont miss thats nasty. How do u miss? Im still curious on the ceiling part. Yeah jess and austin so much fun to come lol hopefully she never misses. Haha

I wonder if you knew that (for both Babies and Adults) if you put Vicks vapor rub or mentholatem on the bottom of the feet and then put socks over them before going to sleep, the vapors make sleeping/breathing easier during the night... If you Google it, you will see that it really does work, and why it works!

1st off your baby is so adorable. As advice. Austin has to keep put with his throat because I started off with a sore throat and ended up with a fever and fever blisters, I ened up in bed for 3 1/2 day and I'm still trying to fight it off its sucks I havent been able to eat at all because it hurts so much and I havent even been able to kiss my baby because I'm sick. my doctor gave me 4 meds, one is a month wash and that is the worst one😒. So as ADVICE keep an eye on it.

Isn't it a great shirt?! It's just a small store at our mall! I can't even remember the name of it!

I had a similar incident when my son was 3 months and he barely cried. I cried more.

Happens to all of us, unfortunately it probably won't be the last time. Kids are a lot tougher than we think. She's good and you guys are great parents. Don't sweat it.

When my sister was small (maybe around Micah's age) my mother had her in a bouncy seat on top of the dining table while she was doing the dishes. She had music on and my little sister was baby-dancing (i.e. BOUNCING) and danced herself right off the table! BOING! So Don't worry. Every baby takes a tumble - that's why they're soft so they'll bounce. ;)
